If that happens Good news and bad news. Bad news: we'll loose all four. I just think Purdue is a really bad matchup for us. Good news: that means we made the BTT final and made a deep March run. Cuz the only way to face Purdue in the tourney is if we go deep in March, at least a E8 cuz they won't let the same conference meet before the E8
Give Dain his flowers. He's been terrific defensively lately. He was their best big with his physicality and providing some resistance vs Edey and should have been a staple out there in that game IMO. Absolutely can't put Coleman as primary defender vs. Edey and watch him get buried underneath the hoop over and over
I mean, UCLA was preseason #2 based off the same thing. They were a first four to the final four. They wasn’t so bad. They were a 4 seed, made it to the S16, and there lost to that 8 seed UNC team.
The top five teams in the Big Ten in March are Ohio State, Illinois, Nebraska, Indiana, and Penn State. All five of those are on the bottom side of the bracket. So I disagree with Mike about the top side of the bracket being tougher.
I honestly feel that teams seeded 3-10 in the BTT are pretty even. More even than other years at least. Very little separation, than what's normal, between those teams seeded 3-10.
@@FlyIlliniFly Good point! A lot of mediocre teams in that group. Most of them have been up and down all season. The good thing is that there are no teams on our side of the bracket that have beat us this year, outside of Penn State, who I'm not scared of.
I just love listening to these guys! Go ILLINI!!!
I think Mike would be a good college coach.
Umm yeah!
He was a really good jump shooter. I'd love to see him working with Ty, Sincere, and the incoming freshmen.
I think he would be a great coach!
He'd be great on our staff. I just feel like. But the downside is, we won't get these weekly pods, which are terrific!
Love Latulip. He’s phenomenal. Don’t know why he ain’t on BTN. Calling games as the analyst, he’d easily be top 4 at least out of the BTN guys
Luv the breakdown of player/coach outlook and thought process on BIG10 Tourney/NCAA. You guys could talk anyone off the ledge! Thanks & Go Illini!🧡💙
Hopefully, Illinois will play Purdue four times this year.

And… beat them twice!!
1 of the best college bball minds in the country.
Absolutely
It is incredibly idiotic - the fact that TSJ isn’t on the All BIG Defensive team

I was begging for more Dain minutes since late December. I am so glad he was given them and then proved worth the enhanced role.
What are those baseball cards?

These guys get into the nuts and bolts. All the other podcasts are pretty shallow.

I mean, if Maryland will have 16, Rutgers will have 12 lol
