Two of my fave Raid content creators giving their views on maxing epics if great as a low spend player. Since you've got more epics than leggos dropping from shards it can get confusing on limited resources as to who to take up to 60 before others. I'd love to see the same type of video with these two & the Deadwood Jedi (my other fave), to have the 3 must watch creators giving their views - perhaps on the reverse such as which epics players should avoid wasting resources on to max.
"Read it slowly" is something I did not do when I started. I fed so many of these champs to champs not listed here xD
Wow it's so great to watch both of you together giving opinions about the best epics. Both of your videos are helping me so much as a new player.
I do enjoy the collabs. If I may make a suggestion. I would love to see tier lists based on enemy's i.e. top epics for bommel, or top epics for scarab king, or even a breakdown of best epics for head of decay, or mischief etc. Even as a mid game player, I find myself stuggling to come up with team composition sometimes when facing certain bosses in DT or hydra
It almost sounds like wanting tier lists is your problem. Just because a champ is "the best" in an area does not mean it gives you a good team composition.
@@ingrudmessenger1193 I still think it was a good idea though. I'd watch that video. I'm sure the boys ( HH / ASH ) will give us plenty of honorable mentions to give us ideas and familiarize us with what kinds of champs are effective in different areas. Nothing wrong with wanting videos like this one to be more focused / targeted at specific content
tier lists…lol. raid cc have gone through that argument before. if you’re new, there is some history you need to catch up on.
there was a whole debate about tier lists. basically some people believe there is no reason for a tier list bc everyone does different things n they are all useful.
@@micheal7517 I'm glad I figured out what words to use to bring the youtube comment trolls out of hiding. I very clearly meant a video describing champions best used in specific circumstances (otherwise known as a tier list - I know it's super taboo, but I said it again anyway). I'm not sure how that's any less subjective than a "best heros to max" video, of which there are plenty. Half the champs mentioned are always the same anyway. Not digging on the work HH and Ash do to provide content. I watch regularly. The suggestion is to switch up the obligatory champion advisory video with one more specifically targeted to newer content i.e. newer DT bosses and hydra.

Venomage is probably the "Kael" of epics you want to have in a starter account. Shes like a Kael-plus. Like Kael, you can bring her anywhere only she does everything a little better.

Great video as always. As I was struggling to progress (I got my first leg on level 69) and a cold heart on level 78, giscard actually helped me in a lot of dongeon, doom tower and arena

I've been playing for about 3 weeks now and I made it to nightmare tonight. Your videos have been very helpful.
One thing I don't see mentioned much about Stag Knight is his A1....that thing hurts. He has 2 hits with 4x multiplier on each. His base ATK is low, but if you can, get it up, as long is it's not at the expense of other stats.

@@derekbaker4763 Yeah, he kinda mentioned that, so I decided not to include it. Although the debuff is also somewhat underrated by high level players because they tend to have enough speed to run lap around bosses. I have only a few champions with speed over 200, so a Dec Speed definitely goes a long way.
@@rolandhooton8275 He really does a lot for someone with only 2 active skills. Not a bona fide nuker himself, but in an ally attack team, his A1 is a formidable weapon.

Tayrel was my first epic I pulled. As a ftp, I still use him today in almost all aspects of the game. ♥️
In Lizardmen I think Broodlord is an honorable mention as well because of his A3 which has a sixty percent chance to land a stun and he also puts out some damage as well as the debuffs
I really like how you guys halved the list to share views. Idk if it's the norm, but I think it's a cool way to share collaborated content so that neither creator has lopsided returns on their efforts. Great stuff!
I love the fleshtearer callout. I maxed him just cause he's an interesting champ. Haven't had a lot of time to try him out but that kit is definitely unique
Problem I have is when you have several of these, booking them out. If you aren’t running NM or UNM CB there just aren’t enough books at a good clip and deciding who to rank up next gets really hard.
so dont book.. wait until u hav CB chemp and then bok em .and go for Cb 1st then FW dt
Armina goes really well with Rorik especially in faction wars. Dude is a stun and turn meter machine who I feel gets overlooked because he gets built for pure damage instead of a tanky stunner. Worth a second chance if anyone has him vaulted, try a stun set with high accuracy and speed and you'll be surprised.
Oh thank god, I just pulled Woad Painted and her kit looks fantastic. So much so that I didn't even go do research I started kitting her out. Hearing you 2 guys (my "go to two" Raid Guys) give her a strong honorable mention is a huge relief
I pulled her the day of her update, looked at the ascension unlock, and immediately went "I'm using her" I have mine built with massive HP, and she massively improved my CB score, because that heal usually completely heals the other heroes too, and reflect damage in fire knight helps so damned much with breaking that shield
Alaric was the first epic I pulled, maxed him and have not regretted it. Good nuker for arena and solid sing target as well for dungeons.

would truly love to see you and ash do epic faction guardians. each of you 2 giving the 5 epics for each faction. so have to be toons that you can double up on.
Tayrel is amazing in early CB. Strong in Spider. Great in Fire Knight. Tayrel is worth leveling while progressing. A lot of people forget the stun, sleep, and TM reduction as well as the reliable attack down. Since he's DEFENSE based you can keep him LOW health and waves will attack him.
I still use Tayrel on my arena team. I have Hege. Hege lands the decrease attack and then Tayrel comes with the decrease defense and sleep cause Hege landed the decrease attack. I just built him super fast lots of accuracy and that’s all you need when paired with Hege. It’s a great 1-2 punch.

I maxed Tayrel to complete my FW21 team, and now, when I use the Team Optimizer, he is there on so much of the content. Built out a 100% (anti affinity) Fireknight 20-25 team with him. still worth the 60!

Yeah they make them op at launch to get you to spend, then nerf them so they don’t have to try as hard for the next temp op champs they poo out. The con is real.
I guess it is the very fine English / American blend that makes you such a great collab team
I'll say this, Occult Brawler was one of my first epics and I maxed him and to this day he is my best poisoner and was the only reason I could beat IG and Dragon 25 not to mention his Clan Boss capabilities. I throw him in relentless gear and have the mastery that can increase the duration of his debuffs. God forbid relentless gear props three times in a row and all of a sudden I've got 6 poisons, 3 poisons lasting 5 turns and 3 poisons lasting 3 turns, on the target after one turn.

Hell Hades & Ash --- Ready for my next 60. Decision between Frozen Banshee, Tayrel or Venomage. Frozen Banshee is the only one that is currently booked out.
I love that HH digs Venomage as much as he does, as someone who uses her in CB I definitely see what's up with her.

finally 6 star my fatman and he really shows a significant improvement for my cb team, I can finally 3 key nm and 1 key brutal, for me that's pretty big! I can't wait to build fayne to swap my kael and have hellcat XD my fianl team should be fayne, geo, fatman, vogoth and hellcat...
a cosmetic dungeon could be a cool thing, random skin fragments for all champions... events that focus specific ones, i would farm it!

It saddens me to see Tayrel get the hammer.
So many times has he now been pushed down in tiers with the reference always being that his Decrease Defence is on a 4 turn cooldown.
The Aox/Tayrel combo is one of my favourite advices to any of my clanmates, simply because of the addition of the sleep debuff.
It gives you time to run through the threats with the single Target damage dealers while Astralon's stun or Ninja's Freeze is on Cooldown.
It especially helped me high up into my Hard Doom Tower progression.

Urogrim was nerfed from God tier to God tier.
I was butt hurt about the nerf, but he still carries me in a bunch of content and is one of my best champions.
I wish you would do teams eg like which 4 champs that work well together
Should include a splash screen at the end with your choices from each faction!
Aox was the key to pushing my CA team to one keying nightmare and 2-3 keying UNM, at least for force and magic.
Same with stag i looked at him and dint get why people loved him so much😂

Hello HH can we get an updated doom tower secret room guide since there are so many new champions? Would love to see it
2nd commend. The specific dungeons events are extremely important nowadays I think. there is usually a void shard there. Void champions are usually the game changer. I think even mid game might be a good use energy if you can only farm lvl 16. I'm sorti of confused Why no one have caught up on that. Void shard are limited even for whales. While non void champion can be gotten from antient shards with theoretically infinite money. I would consider that for content, very few people on this one.
PLeaseeeee Make a special collab on how to beat those damn secret rooms on DT Hard, the ones that you have to beat with rares and whatnot >__

I got woad as my first epic pull 🤣. Ironclad was one of my early rares. The game wants me to cheese

Steelskull and Ironhide Bear are automatic 60s once you start working on FW.
I think Ghrush is the most underrated epic in the game, particularly with him as a login. High Leech chance on his a1 that applies in a unique way will help people tremendously on CB. Double AoE, which means great in Stun set if youre not using him on CB, really really good healing on his a3 that's undervalued, AND he smacks. I'm constantly seeing people not build him.
I really like mine, and if he did an attack down AND a crit down I would use him more often. I'm a little scared off by the fact that it's an OR
@@speachless88 Its a weird skill, and because its an 'or', you can't really take him as your atk down champ. It's the rest of his kit that makes him worthwhile, particularly the sustain he provides. Particularly in early to midgame, his best purpose built role is for clan boss, which allows your team to move off lifesteal. I recommend that people disable his a2 on cb cause of it being an 'or'.
Tayrel is still very much an auto 60, even if less so I still use the on eon my main because sure, there are newer AoE decrease DEF with 3 turns instead of 4, other turn meter drops, etc. But he has one thing Stag Knight and others lack - damage *AND* survivability. Most of the others that would fill his role, are attack base champions so unless you have god tier gear that lets you have 5000 ATK and 3500+ DEF while still having Speed, HP, accuracy - Tayrel does it for less. Before Arena became insane and an issue and I got my Arbiter - even limited on speed he along with a 240-ish Apoc, Kymar as a reset and Rhazin (also speed limited for CB) got me to Gold 4 back in the day till yeah, I got a Draco that needed higher speed for a CB build, and Abbess, that was then replaced along with Kymar when I got Seer with her and Helmut cause yeah - OHK or sleeps if I go first. And that Tayrel - was and still kinda is pretty basic in build. 3700 DEF, 35k HP, 176 speed, 96% C.Rate, and 113% C.DMG with about 240 accuracy. Partially cause I keep him in a Lifesteal set. Were I to get a better one - or just build for stats, he'd likely still be one of my hardest hitters that isn't something like Seer or Royal Guard who have straight nuke on their side.

Boy ash does like a list doesn't he? I do sometimes watch his channel and I like him, but I think he would be able to do some more in depth videos about his opinions about the game. As well as some more in depth guides and he does approach a champion. I know his demographic is younger and/or more casual. But I still think he can do more. Same with Clash content I think he could have gone deeper when approaching some strategies and whatnot.

16:28 I'd have called out Hope to be honest, block buffs on the a1, a shield and buff extension on the a2, and an aoe all buff cleanse on the enemies albiet at a 75% chance.

Even gorlos hellmaw has decrease def on a 3 turn cooldown. Tayrel has been powercrept so hard
About Shamael and his A2. It DOES damage. If you provide him with 3 buffs, he ignores 100% defence. Oneshotting those tanky enemies in the arena. At least for me he is doing some work there.

Did Thenasil get passed by? Ive seen quite a bit about how good he is in older videos by people and from people in Raid's chat. I was going to try and 6* him eventually especially for FW.
