I've never had much interest in an H or M Farmall, I'm also not brand loyal or specific either. They just did not tickle my fancy, until I have been watching you with your tractors. Tractors are like Pokemon to me, I gotta catch them all! Thank you so much Pete, your videos are an inspiration to me and many others. I'm trying to rebuild my grandfathers legacy, he taught my brother and I farming methods much like yours. Our goal is to farm 80 acres for direct to consumer. We want to grow all of our own pig feed, chicken feed, and hay + feed for cattle. Much like how my grandfather did it on 300 acres.
Yay Canada! Also, these are my coffee videos too. I love having something to watch, almost to the point Netflix should pick him up and make the “Just a Few Acres Farm Show”
I’m really enjoying watching the Farmall MD rebuild! It would be awesome to see the MD bailing a few square bails with the old New Holland bailer once she’s all put back together! That’s for the great videos Pete!
My son and I both really enjoy these types of videos. He was the one who told me about your channel and got me watching in the first place. We both have done mechanical repairs and overhauls. He has done quite a few of cars and trucks and some tractor repairs and restorations. I've done a few more in repairs on tractors and the farm equipment side of things. Looks like you are getting it back together real good. Each detail is hard to explain to others that hasn't done it before, but I think you do a great job at it. Thanks for sharing and you have a great day and week ahead.
Hi Pete, I found you last year when you were working on the MD. I left for a bit then came back and started watching you from video 1. I just finished watching them all and it gives me hope that your message will reach others. Thank you for the videos and allowing us a glimpse into you and Hilary's life. Take care!
Thanks for the video Pete. I'm no mechanic but enjoyed seeing you with all your "forgots"! And you didn't get upset about anything. I need to work on that.
Hello Pete & Hillary,,,it was my birth-day Thursday,,,(71),, You can take the boy out of the country,,,but you can never take THE COUNTRY out of the boy. GREEN ACRES IS THE PLACE TO BE,,, FARM LIVIN IS THE LIFE FOR ME. KEEP THE VIDEOS COMMIN PETE,, GOD BLESS YOU.
It's hard to believe looking at that transmission housing that's part of a huge tractor . Seeing all the dissabled parts laying around from what was such a big machine is funny . Keep up the great job , I'll never work on one of these but find these videos interesting . This series will help anyone in the furture to repair and rebuild this equipment .
I wish I could put 5 stars ✨ on your videos. It is so nostalgic for me, so relaxing to watch. I watched my dad disassemble and reassemble so many mechanisms from as far back as I can remember. They said he had the patience of Jobe. He had a little tune he would whistle. All these words I haven’t heard in so long, bushings, bearings, shims, gaskets, etc. All that’s missing are the smells that I know goes along with those little cans with the brush on the lids, and the cleaning fluids, and the grease. And the tune I could never duplicate. ☺️☺️☺️🥲⭐️✨
It's a good thing that the quality assurance inspector is always there looking over your shoulder and pointing out any oversights during final reassembly. 😜Being the videographer, editor and chief and part time grill chef, affords the luxury of reviewing and setting the clip sequence, while the smoker does all the real work on cooking dinner. Thanks for the great content.
The oil in the spray bottle reminds me of an exchange between my dad and his mother many years ago. He'd gone over to her house to help with something and needed to clean his new glasses. He'd not worn glasses very long and didn't realize that she'd mixed malathion bug spray into a similar spray bottle until he'd gone back outside to leave and put his glasses back on :) He didn't have to worry about the mosquitos or flies at the hog farm that evening either :)
This is the first time I have seen the internals of the drive train downstream of an engine other than a schematic. It's good to have the ability to watch and learn regardless of our age (I'm 79.) I had high school physics and 14 or 16 hours of physics in college (math major and a minor in music and one or two courses short of a minor in physics) but I can't recall ever getting my hands on an actual drive train. It is one thing to learn the theory behind mechanical advantage and another to put it to use. I guess that's the difference between an engineering degree and a teaching degree in some cases. At any rate, your demonstrations are very well done and excellent learning materials. What is fascinating about your sessions is the organized way you go about providing demonstrations. They are well thought out, logical and your presentation techniques are of "exceeds expectations" quality. You have my vote for "Teacher of the Year." I suspect we don't have a clue as to the amount of time you put in planning, developing, revising, cutting and pasting, etc. to provide a professional product. Even the humor is professionally bad (Puns have to be bad to be good and you're an "exceeds" in this area also.) I only wish I could afford to help with the funding of your site, however I only have a small pension plus social security and have high monthly costs for prescriptions associated with heart disease, so I have to squeeze every penny that comes my way. About the only thing I can do is offer my compliments on your product. It is the first site I check each time I open UA-cam. I think I have hit the thumbs up on each one of your videos. One thing I will promise is that I will go back and check all of your videos to ensure I have selected a 👍for each. I wish you and your partners well (that includes Hillary and the kids also! ✌❤🖖 There, that is a good example of a joke for you. I'm sure the chickens will find it humorous. Don't bother reading my comments to John the boar. I've never known a boar who had much of a sense of humor. They pretty much have a one track mind!I've long and prosper. Live long and prosper. ✌🙏🏼🖖
Love the videos. Just discovered you. The video titled farmers wife speaks, you mentioned that some viewers would have angry responses. Well, don't take that personally. Some people, a lot of people, are miserable. They want everyone else to join in their swill. You just keep doing things the way you are. You have a wonderful family. Thanks again.
Wow Pete! Thanks for showing all the steps and even the ‘I forgot…’ bits. Your knowledge and expertise make it all easy to understand what you’re doing and talking about. I have zero experience with this sort of thing, but I understood everything you were doing because you were also telling us what you were doing! Especially the right nomenclature. I’m an Air Force veteran, used to work on B-52’s, F-16’s and a few others. Was good enough, but never good enough to do it right while also telling you what I was doing, while telling you the right name for each part. Bravo!
I enjoy all of your videos, but the ones about maintaining, repairing and refurbishing your tractors are by far my favorites. I know that puts me in the minority, but that's how it goes. Keep them coming, Pete!
I love your tractor overhaul videos. You have a very good pace and explain every detail. I’m starting to understand the mechanics of engines & drivetrains. U throwing in one of your “jokes” from time to time is a plus!
Pete, I have finally figured you out. You are a time traveler! Flitting about thru time, educating people with irreplaceable information and skills. The saying "Jack of all trades, master of none" certainly doesn't apply to you. More like Jack of all trades, master of many. Always a blast, thanks.
I learn a lot about the relationship between parts and how they work while cleaning them. Helps on reassembly, especially when no service manual or parts catalog is available. Clean is the most reliable part one can install during reassembly.
One of my first thoughts, on this Saturday morning, was........"Ohhh boy!!! I'll bet Pete has posted his next MD adventure!!!" And sure enough, there you were sharing with us all the goodies that had just arrived at your shop! I can see why your channel is growing by leaps and bounds.....it's because we all enjoy YOU, Pete, and your kind ways!!! Keep on keeping on!!! ;o)
Pete love that you put in that you forgot this and that just like we all do...not just retake the shot and put it together perfectly. How many times I have put things together only to take them apart and reinstall those parts correctly the second or third time
Just like the old saying "We do it right, 'cause we do it TWICE". The thing is like Pete said to find it before it is all sealed up. Or even worse find out when you are broke down in the back field.
I enjoy the tractor videos. When buying bearings I would recommend checking wit motion industries or other industrial supply houses. They will probably save a good deal over the tractor dealership
I really enjoy these tractor videos. Took an agricultural trade once and we had a class on basic tractor maintenance. This is like that but on steroids (in a good way). Think I read a comment here once that said you'd be a great teacher and I strongly concur!
Internal workings of an obsolete piece of farm machinery is kinda dull to me. Yet I find the old clock repairs and the farm animal care interesting. What strange creatures we people are. Good luck trying to keep us all entertained!
Thanks a million for Your Jokes, I have a very bad back since 1985. I have not been able to work and am in much pain. Now for the last 10 days my wife has been pretty much in bed in very bad pain So I realy need something to Smile about Keep the videos and the Jokes coming!!
I can't count the amount of times I kept on coming to YT to see your video. and if the parts got here etc. well today it happened! Wow you got few more bearings than I thought you would. but now is the time to replace them!. The thought I always have in mind when I go for parts is, if you think they cost a lot now! wait till they break a year or two from now and watch those prices to replace them then!. and it softens the sticker shock now and makes you feel a whole lot better and secure. Thanks for another great video Pete can't wait for the next one already!. Thanks for sharing. ECF
Good job Pete. You make it seem so simple and neat. I think it really pays to take care of these old tractors 🚜. In the end they will take care of you and give you many more years of good reliable service. Thanks 🙏 for this video and have a good day.
Thanks Pete! Thanks for explaining the 5th gear wear issue. Trying not to grind getting into road gear is always a grit your teeth moment, and seeing the visual of the gear wear was very interesting!
I almost forgot to give you a like and a positive comment. Taken care of thank you. All that matters is that at the end you have fewer parts than you started.
snap rings, AKA o'jesus clips. When it springs out and flies across the shop and lands in who knows where Ville, you say to yourself "Oh Jesus, I'll never find that"
Pete, subscribed a few days ago and find your videos very informative and entertaining. Thanks for posting, take care. Look forward to the future and see where you take this. Best wishes to you and your wife.
Thanks for the video. The first thing I ever steered was a Farmall MD while sitting in my grandfather’s lap. I am impressed with your knowledge and skills. I would definitely need to hire a professional to do what you are doing.
Great video Pete. I've been repairing - rebuilding - restoring Farmall M's for about the last 20 years. Loads of fun and very satisfying on each if these old tractors I do. IH and most all manufactures really knew how to build them to last and be rebuilt where they broke. Awesome videos Pete I appreciate your love for your farm, family and country.
Pete thank you for taking all of us along on this journey of the rebuild of the farmall MD and explaining what you are doing and showing us how it is done I have watched since the beginning since you started on this project!
Love my hi tack. That stuff is amazing. I use it most all the time. I must say that the cleaning is amazing that you do. It is 2nd to non. The inside i get its the outside is what i find you spend a great deal of time on! Great work the paint will be amazing
We had 2 big M's growing up. One with 5th gear, one with not and it's nice to know how that happened. But that 5th gear on the road? Whoa, it was scary fast !
You are great at explaining in detail the inner workings of the transmission assembly and how they come together. You are also not afraid to point out your mistakes. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for putting so much effort into these videos. Farm life is the same hardship and rewards in all countries. Greetings from Russia.
How true
You'd make a great tractor mechanic Pete! I enjoy watching you bring these old beauties back to life.
Thanks!
The great thing about these old Farm-all tractors when they were new, not only did the owner had the right to repair, it was expected!
I enjoy sitting down on my couch and watching your videos
I've never had much interest in an H or M Farmall, I'm also not brand loyal or specific either. They just did not tickle my fancy, until I have been watching you with your tractors. Tractors are like Pokemon to me, I gotta catch them all! Thank you so much Pete, your videos are an inspiration to me and many others. What a great start to the weekend. Pete being the teacher to the masses , thank you for letting us participate in your farm life ❤️🇨🇦☕️

Another good rebuild video. 👍
Super exciting day! Look at all the new toys!
Really enjoy watching the work u put in on this rebuild.
Thanks for the video Pete. I'm no mechanic but enjoyed seeing you with all your "forgots"! And you didn't get upset about anything. I need to work on that.
That has to be very satisfying work. Making an old thing new again is therapeutic.

So satisfying watching new bearings and seals being put in.

That was fun to watch . it reminded me of my dad working on his old boat. I loved to help him.
Jack of all trades..Pete give yourself a pat on the back. 👏👏
Thanks for keeping me entertained for the last 20 minutes and keeping my butt from being outside in 10 degree weather Pete.
Nothing sweeter than something mechanical which is as smooth as warm butter, and solid. Nice work, Pete.
Love it! Repairing and restoring the Ole Bessie beats buying a new tractor any day! This machinist will be a farmer one day too.
Pete I could see your joy through this whole video. Great video!
great video Pete! really enjoy watching you tear down and rebuild this tractor!
Great video. You explain it well. Always love itwhen you make an excuse and just fix it without complaining.
Thanks for explaining what a speedy sleeve is. My farming relatives lean toward Massey Fergusons. Enjoy your videos!
Fantastic! I'm not a tractor owner nor a farmer. But your videos are excellent. Calming. Thanks. Pete.
Wow Pete! Thanks for showing all the steps and even the ‘I forgot…’ bits. Your knowledge and expertise make it all easy to understand what you’re doing and talking about. Hello Pete lots of work filming along with put back together. Thanks have a good day
Must be a pleasure to work on a functional yet simple piece of machinery.
Wonderful! Shows you have acquired a lot of farmall md knowledge over the years. Great and satisfying videos.
I love your tractor overhaul videos. You have a very good pace and explain every detail. I’m starting to understand the mechanics of engines & drivetrains. U throwing in one of your “jokes” from time to time is a plus!
When your favorite farm video channel becomes a restoration video channel, too.

The saying "Jack of all trades, master of none" certainly doesn't apply to you.
More like Jack of all trades, master of many.

Your Knight joke reminded me of that scene in Monty Python’s search for the holy grail! Good comedy.😁 “‘Tis but a scratch”😂
I learn a lot about the relationship between parts and how they work while cleaning them. Helps on reassembly, especially when no service manual or parts catalog is available. Clean is the most reliable part one can install during reassembly.

Excellent job cleaning up the gears, shafts and transmission case Mr. Pete!
It's fun to watch someone else do this. If I was there with a tractor in a thousand pieces, I would freak out! Amazing work, Pete!
Internal workings of an obsolete piece of farm machinery is kinda dull to me. Yet I find the old clock repairs and the farm animal care interesting.
What strange creatures we people are. Good luck trying to keep us all entertained!
Another good video, Pete. Enjoyed this video,. Have a great weekend,.

Excellent job Pete....I did work on gearboxes for decades....great job.
The J.J. Abrams lens flare at 17:43 was a nice touch

Good job Pete love watching your videos from Glen in bundella Australia
Nice shirt, my home state. I've enjoyed the videos on the MD as I have an M that I will be restoring. Thanks
Progress!! Looking good Pete! 👍🥰❤️
Looks brand new. Amazing 🤩
I love how you explain everything thing step by step
Thanks Pete! Thanks for explaining the 5th gear wear issue. Trying not to grind getting into road gear is always a grit your teeth moment, and seeing the visual of the gear wear was very interesting!

Great video, I enjoyed your explanation of the transmission
I guess I didn't realize 5th is what went out most. Our 230 always pops out of 1st in a hard pull.
Fantastic! As always, thank you so much!
Gaskets and bearings are beautiful lol All the parts cleaned up nice.
Thanks for all the good tips
Really enjoy your mechanical videos. Always learn something from you.
Excellent overview and details! Super glad I was able to learn from this video. Thx....
Good joke! Lol!
You got me! I was doing other things and listening and you got me! Lol!
Peace on your doorstep!
Love my hi tack. That stuff is amazing. I use it most all the time. I must say that the cleaning is amazing that you do. It is 2nd to non. The inside i get its the outside is what i find you spend a great deal of time on! Great work the paint will be amazing
love your videos and attention to all of the details. keep up the Awesome work! :) :)
Thanks for the video Pete 👍
Skf bearing are top notch equipment

Nice work again Pete. I have been there forgetting something then have to go back as long as you catch it early no biggie. Great work
You are great at explaining in detail the inner workings of the transmission assembly and how they come together. You are also not afraid to point out your mistakes. Thank you for the video.
Great job! Enjoyed watching!
Hola, pete! Love what your doing! Keep on doing you!😘
