Short and sweet, now make another video with the grinder in action :) I'm guessing the reason to put it in a DM47 is that it's reportedly a very slow burr that you might not feel like cranking with too often
Didn't love the SSP Cast burrs either, it seemed like it turned my nice grinder into a low end conical burr grinder. But I've recently found even an actual lower end, but decent conical burr grinder CAN do better if you're not looking for super high clarity, it's nice to have both options if you have multiple grinders and enjoy a variety of different coffees and brew methods. Conicals can be pretty high clarity too! and flats can be LOW clarity, so don't stereotype your burrs people! :D
It makes me happy people are moving away from SSP. When I read on EAF people are doing a petition to Hansung to make ssp 78mm burrs for sculptor i'm getting mad AF. Why would you want that clown to ruin your grinder? Denis out.
For the mystery discord seagulls this is my main YT account since 14 dec. 2006. I dont have another one. Byebye, the name was my gaming nickname 15 years ago.
@@mack6861 too many reassons: lack of transparency and information- as in you order something and get a new revision that is different from what your friend got 6 -12 months ago lack of competition for him- so he can do whatever he wants with prices or quality he is not pushed or threaten by anyone -fraud at selling packages that are not worth a lolly - he declares all his packages 10-20$ so he is committing a fraud- again if you sell 100 burr sets at 300$ a piece= 30000$ his burrs are tested on cow manure beans in mazzer grinders ssp burrs in general- specially the so called unimodal/high uniformity (64mp,64brew, 83mp/98hu/98lu/98 brew) produce a punchy acidity drink with the lack of balance (attributes like sweetness and body are reduced) and you end up with an uppercut acidity bomb in your face with 1 main fruit followed by either a steep no aftertaste as in lacking, or by a prickled cardboard dryness. So in my opinion not worth the time, the money. I owned more than 5 ssp burr sets in 64-73-98mm size and borrowed or tried other grinders with them. No thank you, next.
My influencer.
Thanks for sharing. This grinder is super underrated.
I bought the Kinu burr and thanks for sharing the video on how to swap them out.
Thank you for the video. Huge fan of these burrs on the kinu!

Bought the pour over burr direct from kinu and mins gold
are you using this for both espresso and pour overs?
You should still make a video comparison between p100 and your grinders ;)
tempting to motorize my kinu burr~ but since i'm the only one drinking coffee hand grinding on my m47 with the kinu POB is fine i guess :p...

what is bad about SSP?
