George was the leader of the P-Funk army and easily is one of the most influential figures in the roots of hip hop. You should react to more of their music, it's GREAT and you will find the songs Dre sampled!
This is the Quintessential 80's Funk Song. Not the same as 70's funk, but Early 80's synthetic funk that 45 and older heads like me absolutely love! The Omega Psi Phi fraternity (Que Dogs) use that song in Every Step Show!
Not only did Snoop Dogg Sampled the Chorus to this song. But also The Notorious B.I.G also used this sample for his song Hypnotized. If you listen to the background from this song to Hypnotize by Biggie you'll see what I'm talking about :) awesome reaction
Loved this one back in college! Even though it was repetitious. There are other songs by other artists that are fantastic! Love me some 70's Funk and Blues old school and new! Enjoyed your " rambling!"
It was very repetitive, but it is one of those songs that you don’t really listen to the lyrics on. It’s just one you bob your head to, and vibe with, so not really one supported by a reaction video.
Having been woken up to the song every Goddamn day for 4 months over a loudspeaker when I was stationed at Ft. Gordon, Georgia in the summer of 1983 for Radio Teletype school, I'm not sure how old the video is, but I can tell you unequivocally the song is from George Clinton's 1982 album "Computer Games", and that's a fact.
Yeah this epic funk jam Atomic Dog came out in November of 1982 rite b4 my 20th birthday in December, it's January 10th 2021 I still keep it in rotation. Hip hop artist and fraternity Brothers love this song to death, it is totally badass from the mind of George Clinton aka Dr. Funkenstein.😀✌👍👍
Third video and I really tried with this guy but the constant pausing.....and inexplicably always at the most crucial break, riff, drum roll, lyric etc....it just kills the vibe. Atomic Dog is 4 minutes and 42 seconds, why is this video 15 minutes? 😫
The song was played backwards for the drums . George was fucked up when he made this song and his engineer put it altogether after a night he doesn’t even remember when recording this song. Look up the story behind the song. They didn’t do anything special to the snare.
Just a little bit of background on this song... This was the first big hit from George Clinton after the huge legal disputes with record companies over the Parliament and Funkadelic entities...
Ain't no G funk without the P funk! Parliament-Funkadelic are the fathers of 90s west coast rap, for the most part. Dre and Cube did a lot with their work and George is even on Doggystyle and some Cube tracks
Old School Funk, maybe listen to P-Funk (the song) by Parliament, For a better example of hip hop evolution. Also note that Snoop and Clinton has teamed up, Snoop giving full homage to George Clinton.
You really need to check out some Funkadelic, and not One Nation, or Knee Deep. You need to go back to the early years, and check out Super Stupid, and Red Hot Momma. Most will say Maggot Brain, and of course it's epic, but some of the other stuff needs to be heard, and there's a lot.
One of the most influential person in music history period

Most every 90s hiphop act connected to Dre or ice cube sampled parliament , George Clinton, or Zapp and roger
Twisted Attic dont forget Ohio Players.
@@hoss9688 absolutely!

G Funk
Few know that Zapp and Roger is part of the P-Funk family as well! George and Bootsy produced their 1st album.

That's because they can't step any other way.
You gotta do Funkadelic - One Nation Under A Groove.
"Not Just Knee Deep" -- a treat for your ears, and soul. You'll never be the same.
You're a fellow Detroiter. George Clinton/Parliament Funkadelic recorded their hits in our hometown. At the United Sounds Studio.

Love how you ended it with the pioneer tribute
This song and Parliament is definitely a staple in Funk and Hip Hop
This was released in 1982 and ahead of it's time. I was 15 and my older brother had this album.
You gotta react to Rick James “Ghetto Life”
Not only did Snoop Dogg Sampled the Chorus to this song. But also The Notorious B.I.G also used this sample for his song Hypnotized. If you listen to the background from this song to Hypnotize by Biggie you'll see what I'm talking about :) awesome reaction
Do Zapp more bounce to the ounce next

The drum track is in reverse, with some beats played over it.
Most of the instrumentation is in reverse

It's a reaction video, dude. Pausing is not a problem at all.

If it wasn't for this song Snoop Dogg might not have been Snoop Dogg

George Duke " Dookie Stick"
Parliament - Agony Of DeFeet... or Theme From The Black Hole. George Clinton at his 80s funk best imo.
Yeah George is the mastermind funk captain of bands Parliament and Funkadelic
All funk is repetitious, it's made to dance to,. The lyrics get in the way of the groove
Zaxxon, Defender...and of course Pac Man.
Old School Funk, maybe listen to P-Funk (the song) by Parliament, For a better example of hip hop evolution. Also note that Snoop and Clinton has teamed up, Snoop giving full homage to George Clinton.
...And Bootsy's Snoop's uncle!
I encourage you to Listen to all former pfunk Drummers.

I had to ask this question. You started playing Aestroids before noon and didn't finish until 8pm. So you had to be hungry.
Check out Ice Cube feat George Clinton - Bop Gun
