@# Well to be more exact he had Bronn kill Symon Silver-Tongue (the singer). And iirc only after he refused a reasonable bribe.

@# The singer was blackmailing Tyrion because he knew that if he told Cersei, Shae would be killed. To prevent this Tyrion has him killed and quite possibly turned into stew. By the way Tyrion talks to Varys when he finds him and Shae talking, It's not crazy to think show Tyrion would have done the same.
Book and show Tyrion are pretty similar until around the end of season 4 onwards. It's a shame the crazy intelligent, broken, rock bottom awful Tyrion of the last book wasn't in the show, he hasn't been a meaningful charachter in quite a while on the show

I agree, especially since I read in an interview it wasn't just a random appearance (Like people are complaining about) they got him on the show as a surprise for Maisie Williams who is a fan of Ed's.
Why did he receive hate? I found it a beautifull episode to watch. (Sorry im not updated what that kind of info who gets hate or not and that stuff)
Because people think he paid his way in so he could brag, or that he was out of place there. I barely recognized him in the scene at first but I just love how Maisie lit up there. Like you can honestly see her face glow with happiness. (which after sass and badassery she was up to till then was a welcomed change and it showed that she is still a little girl even though she is no one)
As someone who has never heard of Ed Sheeran, all I could think was, "Damn, that guy can sing." It was a nice scene with a nice song.

If you didn’t know, this song wasn’t made for the show or by Ed Sheeran. It is actually from the books, Tyrion sings it to himself after Oberyn’s death in the trial by combat. He also sings to himself when he kills shae in Tywins bed. He strangles her with his hand of the king chain which is a bunch of interlocking golden hands. “Hands of gold are always cold, but a woman’s hands are warm”.

THIS WAS AWESOME!!! I loved Pentatonix (an acapella group) and I admire them because they made beautiful covers with only five voices... Peter does that one-man a cappella thing often, last time I counted, his channel was about 90% a cappella music, and he has over 150 music videos now! You gotta experience it! Man Of Honor I'm not interpreting the song. I'm referring to the book. In the book it's about Tyrion and Shea. No interpretation needed. Tyrion has the singer killed and the song was never completed.
Yes, it is about Tyrion. It was sung by Symon Silver-tongue, as a subtle blackmail. Tyrion later has Symon killed, but he remembers the bit Symon sang to intimidate him, and that is the part sung by Ed Sheeran (I guess the original was longer, but we'll never know)

because....you're....smart enough not to subscribe to HBO? I enjoy the show, but not watching TV is a big positive. George R.R. Martin is one of the best fantasy writers ever, and as good as the show is, the books are better. Just be prepared for some brutal truths.
GraceAction Don't watch the show. I couldn't finish the second book because the pacing is so slow. The show leaves out so much content that if they added it all HBO would be able to make 30+ episode seasons.

This is beautiful! I love how you are getting more and more varied in the way you conceptualize and carry out the editing, with foreground and background not quite in focus, but the middle (lead you) in crystal focus. Loved the costume(s?) and the balance of the voices, and most of all love how current you can be without losing any of the timelessness and purity of your voice and singing! This to me is a masterpiece, and what on earth could be controversial about it? As for views being down, I think this is going around the internet, because other things I would have thought would have been huge hits are way down in views, too. Not to worry, your fans will never quit you! Bless you!

Amazing! Beautiful vocals! Your version of this song is wonderful and full; and Game of Thrones would be lucky to have it included in an episode or featured during credits. I hope you get the licensing all straightened out as I'm sure it will be very successful. I am among the number who find it confusing that Ed Sheeran's GoT performance was controversial. I think he was great & there would not have been so much negativity focused on that character if it had been someone unknown. It's unfortunate that people feel the need to put such hate out there like that. It must have been tremendous work to get this video out so quickly, but it's a beautiful gift to your fans. Not going to lie, terrified that sometime later this season we're going to find out that she did actually take the soldiers out after the scene cut and the producers are just waiting to use that information. That would mean they decided against a fight scene.... unlikely.
