- I love this rifle, I had a great time testing it.
Its the 357 Challenger but the light version as I call it.
the magazine will only take up to a 100 grain hp and upto 140 single shot.
The greatest thing is it seems to be regulated so the shot string is very even across the 10 shots spread.
The side gauge is for viewing the regulated plenum pressure, it's also the gauge you unscrew to bleed the air out of the tank. You don't want to do that with the bottom gauge or it can bugger the regulator. The under pic rail also works really well for either a simple foregrip handle or UTG bipod grip handle. There's a few folks that are selling some 3d printed cheek risers for that stock now as well, I ended up making a simple on from some PVC pipe that I slit, heated up, and shaped on a wood form.
Just bought your 99gr hollow points and they do sub MOA at 100 yds. Very impressed.
Thank you Robert. Great results with your ammo 👍
Howdy Bob..
Perfect timing for this vid.
Thank you..
I've been looking at this rifle pretty hard..
I was looking at either the new FX M3 .357 or this..
Seems a Lil goofy dropping that much cash on an impact tho..
I've been waiting for a regulated 357 to come out.
I'm thinking this rifle coupled with your 99g slugs could possibly be a wicked combo for bodyshot yotes at distance.. Your slugs I used on Oklahoma hogs last year were phenomenal!!
I really dig the idea of a regulated big bore for consistency.. It's something I've wished for in my Texan rifles..
I look forward to hearing your findings on accuracy and dependability with this rifle..
Thanks for your time and research..
That's one sweet looking rig! Great numbers too! I've got a .30 cal coming and just waiting on the .357 to get back in stock. Can't wait to shoot some pure awesomeness through them!
You just let me know I'm old , I loved the Golden Child
My son used to say, "Dad, did you read the constructions?"
Nevermind, I found the single shot tray.
God I hate that he said old timers will get this and I did..
more than enough power at 50yds or less for deer in my opinion
Stay above 2900 psi so you don't damage the regulator . Love the videos
What is your regulator set at? Mine us at 205 bar and it has the double tensioner nuts. What gas Bennett the highest psi you have set your regulator at and it still function correctly?
@@bamoore65 I have emperically checked the highest yield (speed/FPE) and that is at 190 bar/2755 PSI, resulting in 224 Joule/165 FPE with a 96 grain slug.
Stop it that's my favorite movie one of them anyway
Yes it's regulated
Great video, I was checking the spec on the 30cal compared to the 357cal on the Fox Airpower sites and found the max fill pressure is listed as 3600psi there.
These guns are always changing, it's stamped 4500 on the frame
Thank you for the latest info!
3600 is for the light power spring and 4500 is for the high power one thats what i have heard at least
Yes, it is a REG. GAUGE!👍
Great video as always. Some ppl just didn’t know the obvious. Lol Jp preacher Jim p
Does anyone know the size of the end for the silencer on the AEA challenger .357 mine does not have the barrel shroud just straight barrel
It's regulated
You said regulator was set at 2900 psi??? Have you gone to 3000 psi?
What moderator are you using?
😂😂😂😎
It's all in the name!!!
I USUALLY SHOOT ALL MY GAME BELOW AND SLIGHTLY BEHIND THE EAR TO DROP THEM ON THE SPOT . IT WOULD BE MORE POWERFUL IF IT WERE HELIUM WITH VALVES AND SEALS FOR THAT .
I'm not giving thumbs up or down but I feel that I have to say that we really need to step supporting these Chinese businesses and I'm not singling out this channel, I'm making the point on all that I'm subscribed to. Just saying 🙏🇺🇲
AEA are cheap and shoot better than most rifles out there though. Just get one and you’ll understand. 🤣
@@jrsoto1000 Seriously, I'll take my Benjamin Bulldog that I paid $609 for at Sportsman's guide, put in the Huma regulator for $148 U.S. and I'll perform as well as or better for less.
And I will have a clean conscience that I didn't send one more dollar to China.
He purchased the Challenger Pro from a hardworking American entrepreneur by the name of Mr. Terry Fox at Fox AirPower. Yes they are manufactured in China because there are not many hardworking Americans out there to do the hard work. So I will sleep just fine tonight supporting Mr. Terry Fox. Happy shooting guys!
Your phone cost more and it wasn't made in America (probably most things you own are from 3rd world country labor)
The machine work and quality are superb. There isn't any plastic either. I went to the store in town and picked up the BDog. It felt like a toy from china. There's nothing to stop the trend of technology being produced abroad. Even Apple computer is mostly made with components from overseas...
It doesn't matter on my gun what I put in it it always gives me about 150 ft lb plus or minus 3 whether I'm shooting 81.99 or 125 grain it won't make any difference and I think I got a bummer must not have the correct spring or something :-(
most people are using shims on the hammer to get 190 foot pounds.
Brian, with my Challenger Pro .357 (bought in May 2023) the same results you just mentioned.
The highest velocity for my Challenger Pro .357 is @ 190 bar/2755PSI, resulting with 96 grain slug in 165 FPE/224 Joule.
Higher pressure (e.g. the 4200-4300PSI as per the table of Mr Hollow point) do not incease the spead.
I am wondering how this copy of Mr Hollowpoints Challenger Pro has been tweaked by the supplier.
@@msleurink the hammer spring doesn't have enough force to push beyond 190 bar. You will need two 14 gauge shims on the hammer. I added shims to mine, and then raised reg to 210 bar. I'm now at 200fpe with mr. Hollowpoint slugs.
So is that better than the terminator 357
In my opinion, any bolt action is better for hunting than a semi-auto
i beleve it puts out more fps and holds tighter groups. im trying to decide myself on which 1 to buy.
@@lisagillion2234 i gotta figure that out also
PUT SOME HAIR AROUND THAT HOLE AND YOU MIGHT FIND IT .
