- You asked me to style a Morticia Addams Halloween outfit and here it is. I only used items I already had in my wardrobe so I wasn't able to recreate the big sleeves but hey, I think it's still a good outfit. What do you think?

I’m the old show (black and white one) she had a sister was the complete opposite of her she loved flowers and braids and such.

I used my fencing helmet, covered it with a black hood, wore long black and carried a real, full size scythe. It freaked out everyone.

If you say it looks like scales on a siren, I'm sure her and Gomez would both love the idea.
@@vvitch-mist20 true, but she doesn’t usually wear sequins so it makes it harder to recognize the character. If you’re down to explain that your amazing goth look is specifically meant to be Morticia Addams all night then this is beautiful but if you want people to go “hey, Morticia!” then you probably want a less sparkly gown with long sleeves

@@theladycata9648Hmm. I always thought of Mortica as sexy trad goth. And in that sense, I think Andrea did fine. Though, I would agree that longer sleeves would probably help for character recognition.
I mean, she DID say she's just going to use what's available in her closet. And the vibe is there, so it's a win!

Ruth Myer’s design for the Morticia costume was sparkly! It’s currently on display at the MoPop museum in Seattle. Beautiful piece and you captured it beautifully. I think Morticia would hv loved Daffy

Andrea, I have to say, that after months and months (probably more like years at this point) of being a subscriber, I can honestly say I don't think you have EVER failed clothing style challenge, even if said challenge seems particularly crazy or difficult (yellow and black and don't look like a bumble bee springs to mind!) To style a Halloween outfit only from items you own (and not use only underwear!) isn't super easy to do either. You are just so creative! And I love love LOVE your style! If I had a figure like yours still, I would do my very best to buy matching, or as close to matching items as possible, because you truly never fail to look fabulous!! I'm crying I used to do fencing so I know that the knight costume isn't correct (helmet and sword wise), it's a piece of protective gear, or, the helmet, and the fencing sword, in the end you're saving nobody as that knight and an actual lethal sword would render your helmet completely useless. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
