I do not see an updated review as of 1/24/22. Would you please provide an update on this unit. Thank you and hope your gardens are doing great.

Thanks for your great videos. I bought the Bounty Elite after watching your video - just so I could grow Genovese basil to make pesto sauce. Since you mentioned on your Harvest Elite video how quickly the basil grows, might I suggest you try making some pesto sauce (recipes on the internet -made with pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese) I use it over pasta. I make freeze the sauce in 8 oz. airtight containers. Here on the east coast of the US grocery stores charge ~$5 for just 2 cups of fresh leaves, which only yields about one-half cup sauce. I am looking forward to harvesting basil - as fast as it will grow throughout the fall and winter...and then planting outside next spring.

The reason I grew the G Basil was to prove the concept. Over here if I accidently drop a few seeds on the ground I have a pound of basil in a 6 weeks. We use walnuts instead of pine nuts, because they are much cheaper here. Thank you for watching.

Hi Jacob. Most have 3 pairs of leaves, and are over 12 inches tall. We will soon have to transfer them into 2 gallon pots.

I have it. It broke after 1. 1/2 years. The computer stopped working to allow it to wrk and it is out of warrantee. Too much money lost. Don’t buy it.

That is very disappointing. Have you asked them for parts/repairs?

@@growNglow I did but it is out of warrantee. They have written me back and forth trying to get it to work, but it didn’t help. The latest was that I would have to replace the base at my expense.
It cost too much when I bought it and the base is the expensive part. I don’t want to spend anymore money. It has places for many plants but you can only use 2 or three when using the plants that grow tall which is why one buys this planter. I like the bell peppers, tomatoes have no taste, eggplants are green /yellow instead of purple/white. So disappointed in it.

How fast is the growth rate relative to garden planting?

Generally we have a high growth rate here in the garden because of the tropical climate, but I would say it is twice as fast as the garden in most climates. The problem here is the heat. My water is at 33c (91F), and that is too high for some plants. I am working on a solution for cooling. I had the same problem before with a few deep water culture setup before. I cooled it with Ice bottles. Thank you for watching. I will be back with an update soon
