  • Folks have asked for an update on the Aerogarden Bounty Knockoff, and I happened to be up in New England with some more info on the unit after four months along with a moving adventure with a subsequent post move setup down south.

    Great update have you decided which unit is best. I always refer to my AG's to know when to feed so I will always default to Aerogarden and buy them when 1/2 price. Usually at least once or twice a year you can find these deals. Thx for the drive along and all the info

      Aerogarden on sale is always a good choice. I’m waiting for something like the gardyn to come down in price to make a purchase

    You’ll have to pollinate the eggplants to get fruit. I use Be The Bee pollinator from Aerogarden. You can use a toothbrush or paint brush to pollinate it as an alternative.

      We have a pollinator brush, I will ask to see it it was polinated between the different plants

      Usually for manual pollination, how long do you have to do it for? Also is blowing with a fan necessary?

      @PossessedbyPhoenix A fan gives resistance to the stems etc, making them stronger.

    This would be a lot better with some over time pictures. The review of the systems is good though! Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks for the vid :) 127 days for that yeld? Seems slow to me? Or is this normal?

      @retrotechandelectronics  Рік тому +1

      All of these plants were experimental for us so we have no gauge for normal yet. The kale is regularly cut so that is doing fine

      unless you have 2 aerogardens, and a couple more lighting hoods only, then u stagger the second one to take off from the first one, for 4 or 6ft plants, top them early, and use shorter varieties i'm sure you could disconnect the hoods and add some wire to get larger plants or just add lights keep in mind the root balls in water can get large with only 2 plants. the thing about aerogarden is compact on your kitchen counter to grow cherry tomato plants etc. @@retrotechandelectronics
