My wife and kids bought me a mk1 import on a G plate 3 years ago for £150 . It's not mint and no show car but I absolutely love driving it when I get the chance. Going to a mx5 show and shine in the new forest on Sunday , then the car will beginning stored up and worked on ready for next summer. Great video mate. 👍👍
Jamie I completely agree mate, MX5's are fantastic! You got me into them when you had that mk1 mx5 I got the bug! Unfortunately I've only owned a mk2 1.6 mx5 and a mk2.5 mx5. If I was to get another it HAS to be a MK1. It doesn't matter whether you get a mk1 or mk2 they all get really rusty don't they. Just a case of saving them from the scrap yard putting money into them And ENJOYING them! Like you said not the fastest of things. But my god they are fun. Mine was N/A too just with an exhaust on and induction kit and I loved mine, so much fun on rainy days 🌧️ other then a leaky roof 😂 but I miss your mx5 content. It was a kick in the balls when you had to get shut because of what happened mate
My MK1 import is very very similar to this build and I have to say it's the greatest purchase I've ever made get a good one and you'll never want to let it go they are such a fun and driver involving car to drive and they are almost impossible to hate in my opinion

Jamie I have a question for you, out of all the cars so far you have had the pleasure of driving what would you say is your favourite? I wanted an s2000 but the second hand market is insane so I figured il keep my mx5, I paid 2k for mine Honda S2000 with low miles anywhere between 12-24k currently, the money you could spend on an mx5 you would still be around half the price of an s2000
sorry to burst your bubble but the majority of people buying them is the younger generation, me included, I got a steel on my 91 roadster, doesn't mean I'm gonna drive it like an idiot 😂😂

I sold my 1.8 NA Special Edition last year. I think I will always regret that decision!
that car would be more fun with 195 or 205 tires. The tires are overkill for stock power imo
