So true. I once had both AT&T cell and Uverse internet and they sucked. Switched to a new providers and have 0 problems, plus people can hear me now on the phone, unlike when I had AT&T.

I hate AT&T so much, they suck like Kirby industrial vacuum cleaner, they lie and cheat their customers and laugh at us because they know there's basically not much we can do about it. Yes find another carrier but they make it as hard and painful as possible to switch services and just generally suck.

Considering how AT&T put up with him, they must like being spanked so much, I think they're members of the RNC. *Checks notes* Wait...THEY WERE FINANCING OAN? Okay, that explains it then.
As bad as he makes it sound, AT&T is still the most reliable ISP I've ever had, with the most responsive and competent customer service. Whether you read that as a compliment to them or an indictment of US internet infrastructure is up to you.

Yeah, they are the best major provider. John Oliver is also 100 percent right about everything he said, which should tell you something about how awful the monopoly is that a few internet service providers have over the country.
My parents had AT&T* for their home phone service ever since they bought out the local "Baby Bell." I took them off in 2022, porting their number to a T-Mobile MVNO cell phone, but we still have AT&T home internet. It's fine.
I like to think the profit from the internet I'm paying for goes to pay John.
* Today's AT&T isn't the old AT&T. SBC bought out AT&T and as a part of that took over using the name AT&T.
