I never saw trusses like that, it looks crazy strong. My uncle built a house about 10 years ago and he beefed everything up, he used 2x10's for studs and added a lot of high quality insulation. I thought he was crazy but in the summer his house did not need air conditioning even when it was very hot and his house would hold the heat in the winter. He went crazy on the insulation in the attic also. The only problem was you could only work up there to do repairs for about 15 minutes when it was hot. He saved a fortune over time in heating and cooling costs.
