Styx is one of the bands of my youth. The first and possibly still only pop/rock band to have 5 albums in a row go platinum. Crystal Ball Grand Illusion Pieces of Eight Cornerstone Paradise Theatre. One of the most underrated pop/rock bands of the modern pop/rock era.
@flippy101mph9 I believe it's these....I recall reading about these 5 albums going platinum in a row, many years ago in a hifi magazine I once had and read. Crystal Ball Grand Illusion Pieces of Eight Cornerstone Paradise Theater. 😎
@DigbyOdel-et3xx yeah just found out you're not wrong But Kilroy was here also made it platinum somehow So they ended up actually having 6 which is awesome Now I'm only missing 2 crystal ball and cornerstone
@flippy101mph9 Six is better than five😂 Kilroy was here is a surprise to me going platinum, it's a good album from Styx but not as good as those others. It having intentional backwards messages was due to them being chided for having backwards messages in Paradise Theater... Btw the song Snowblind did have a backwards message of "Oh Satan Move in our voices." I was a goofy teenager and when I read that was so I did manually spin my turntable backwards, btw not a good thing to do to a phono cartridge 😄 and yes I heard those words, it blew my mind and I had to show everyone in my family just for fun .👍
@DigbyOdel-et3xx personally I don't know why I adore the Kilroy album as much as I do Also in the performances of snowblind JY specifically states that that was an accident
Epic, just EPIC!!! My co-worker JUST saw these guys at the Honda Center in Anaheim, and after having seen them well over 20 times, this is the FIRST time he's ever seen them perform 'Mr. Roboto.' Again, just EPIC!!! GREAT GOING SIRS!!! 🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉!!!
Those boys must really care about their fans. They complained about this album for years. Now that I hear this even though I’m a fan I’m reminded that I didn’t really care for this song even with Dennis.
@@robertwilliams5352 I was just being sarcastic because he should be on stage with the others. Nothing against the new keyboardist just original is always better than new, at least in this case it is. Dennis is quite talented.
77 years old. Retired from touring. Having sold the rights to most of his songs to " Primary Wave Publishing and Acquisitions". Dennis spends his times doing interviews with talk shows, telling them how he did everything, and how he was removed from his throne, and. They should just do one more tour together, for the fans: even though he hasn't been a part of the band for over 25 years, and now both Gowan's ate doing fine in Current Styx.
@@bornagainbornagain6697 Or Chicago without Cetera. That was a mess. Remember Cetera not wanting to play 25 or 6 to 4 with the band even with a transposition downward to his range in '16 at the Rock Hall?
Sorry anyone. JY and Tommy on record back in the day about how much they hated this song and tour.nLove or hate Dennis wrote it. 30 odd years later they are totally fine with playing a song they hated. I could quote some lines from Paradise about money concerns. There is no point. Keep on Flogging JY and Tommy.. The dosh you make in this way basically is going to guarantee you won't be respected long term. It's sad really. You had it in the palm of your hand. ❤❤❤😢😢😢❤❤❤
Just saw these guys live in Camden NJ after years of being a fan. Amazing performers! It was everything i wanted and more.
I'm 25 years old. My first Styx and Loverboy concert is in 2 days!
Saw Styx in Alpharetta July 17. Awesome show!
saw them last night in Baltimore and they were absolutely incredible.

Me too...🤩🤩🤩!!!
i saw this tour in the 80's me and my buddy brought a 100 joints remember that styx lol good show
NICE 👍👍👍😄😄😄
They did it justice, even if they hate it so much

Every Nerds Soundtrack !!!
Weird they're playing to prerecorded backing tracks.
Thanks for the upload. 👍
Did keyboard player Lawrence Gowan clone himself on bass guitar? Thought I was looking at the same guy twice over. 😎
It is his baby brother!!!
Where the hell is Dennis????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
@@bornagainbornagain6697 he tours solo doing Styx songs.

Sorry Dennis, Larry Gowan owns this song now.
Quite incorrect.
Still love Dennis but this guy was phenominal
This guy is very good, but no one will ever be able to replace “Dennis DeYoung”……Dennis Owns this song……Forever!!! Dennis DeYoung Rocks!!! ❤️🎶🎹

Watching its just not the experience without Dennis.
It’s been 25 years. Time to let it go.
I've seen Dennis do it...Lawrence does just fine.
Todd Sucherman.
Todd is awesome.
I so dislike watching musicians play while they’re wearing gym shoes
Dennis did it better.
