Please do more scratch tutorials. I have had dj equipment for over 3 years and whenever I get a chance I'll watch or look up dj scratch tutorials tips and tricks. But no one comes close to how you break it down. This was one of the hardest scratches for me to learn until I watched your tutorials. So please please please do more. I have so much I really want to learn!
Def great demonstration by Akut1710 of this complicated 9 sound scratch without having to be 20-30 minutes long. @ Michael Heß - Good job on accentuating the difference between the boomerang vs the 6 sound autobahn (babybahn). It's easy to think you know this scratch only to realize later you've become comfortable with a flawed technique.
man this is cool, wish i could get mine down like this. you had me confused at first because i thought the first combo you were doing was like the 'slow' authobahn as everyones been calling it. but its not its like a single 'fast autobahn'... man i dunno what im even talking about shit sounds dope anyway
fuck yeah man! fuck yeah great break down! I thought I had 'em and I ain't got shit! gonna try and bpm boost that shit I hella wanna hit this cut over those nice slow bpm loops
Akut I have a question. What do you have your crossfader curve adjustment set to? Sorry I meant cut in point I'm not sure I have mine set to high or low I've tried 1.0mm, 0.0 mm and 0.5 mm. Which is best or is it self preference?
hey i seem to be able to do it ok on the ahh sample. but i like when you used the two sounds of the "funky fresh" really fast and i cant seem to get it to work for me like it is for you. any tips?
you can use two fingers to make a 2-click motion without making it a twiddle. Also Rafik uses two fingers for the faster autobahns. But I agree, if possible you should learn them with your wrist or with one finger even if you go fast. It often sounds sharper and the change to transforms and chops and stuff like that is easier. best autobahn tutorial ever btw! big ups
No, afaik this would rather be called a "babybahn" or "6 sound autobahn". The difference stems from the fact that a boomerang uses a reverse slice as sounds 4 and 5, whereas the babybahn as he shows at that timecode uses a forward slice. To look at it in another way: The autobahn creates overall 9 sounds. 3 groups of 3. At 1:50 he effectively uses sounds 1,2,3 and 7,8,9. (Or 4,5,6 and 7,8,9 - does not matter as the first 2 groups of sounds are similar)
AKut1710 you want to talk about time I remember when Herbie Hancock Rockit came out , we heard the song before seeing the video so me and my friend had no idea how to scratch so we were grabbing the tonearm and moving it across the record, leaving all types of scratches, making the record unplayable... somehow we figured out that that wasn't right.. few years later I had a pair of belt driven turntables and a cheap mixer, that was the 80's
Can't find a problem with the technique so he attacks the turntable. Money and gear don't make the man, hard work, patience and practice make it happen. Although maybe Sbromho can find a new automated DJ platform that has the scratches built in and cued to nicely lit LEDs, quantized to the other track and with a knob for doubling, quadrupling etc. so you can focus entirely on fist pumping the crowd and looking good.
it isn't the greatest you can get today but its more than enough, torque and option wise (2 start/stops buttons, ultrapitch) its much better than 1200s that have been used by mostly everyone for a long time
Best tutorial I've ever seen without any vocal instructions! Great Video Sir!

What's the tune? Ta
hmm...as you use the voice sample it isn't the org autobahn more a autobahn style combo?!
is he using two fingers to twiddle during this scratch??
No never use 2 fingers, it sucks...
you can use two fingers to make a 2-click motion without making it a twiddle. Also Rafik uses two fingers for the faster autobahns. But I agree, if possible you should learn them with your wrist or with one finger even if you go fast. the first part is the boomerang right? 1:50
No, afaik this would rather be called a "babybahn" or "6 sound autobahn".

Thanks for that clarification. Plenty of other demo's of this one say the boomerang is the same thing as the 6 sound autobahn.
Beat name please 4:00
Lol i am doing this shit for 4 years... Time runs fast....

@onematt100
oh c'est toi qui vois, si tu te sens à l'aise comme ça continue ainsi, essaye d'accélérer et si ça merdouille tu soulève ta main. ;-)
SO SICk
After the end ‘double click forward, I can’t link the start again
@Djregedit Hahah.
Tutoriall
Omg! That's fuckin dope!
Hmm not really, it's basically the same shit, just need to be more precise with yourr record hand moves. Practices will make it perfect
;)
my friend..bad turntable for scratching..
he seems to be doin fine.... that table is actually the same motor as the Numark TT-X
it doesn't seem to be effecting him...
Can't find a problem with the technique so he attacks the turntable. Money and gear don't make the man, hard work, patience and practice make it happen. sbromho not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good!!!!
Thank you
