Def,wanna learn more ..how about the boom flare...and just how to flow to not sound the same over and over..whats scratches go well together? When to utilize them..i been scratching awhile but it feels like i always go back to the same patterns ,same style..any pointers ?
@@robertrussell6350 Yeah man I got some ideas for vids actually. Renting my gear out but get it back later so will try and bosh somthing out! I don't really do boomflares, aren't they just boomerang followed by 2 clicker?
@@BeatsBeneath Yeah, I can't find anyone else being credited with inventing it. I believe I was wrong😁 Nice chatting, I enjoy your videos and I like your hand drawn S9 faceplate! 12inch Skins is awesome, got some on my setup if you want to check on my videos. The videos are terrible, ignore that part... Cheers from Buffalo NY! I'm guessing your from Texas judging from the accent lol! Or maybe Great Britan! 😁 I hope to get there someday. Looks beautiful! Cheers!
Great video! I have always heard the 6 count Autobahn being called the Autobahn A6 and the original is the Autobahn A9. Can add to those numbers as you increase the triplets. If you can do tentacles I would love to see something on that. It's very versatile since it can be done forwards, backwards, or by changing the counts in each direction. It's one of my favorite sounds but it's been one of the hardest techniques to master in my experience. Keep up the vids, thanks!
@@BeatsBeneath if you have access to the scratchlopedia it's on there. But it's basically 4 types: 4 tears forward, 2 tears back + 1 click 4 tears back, 2 tears forward + 1 click 3 tears forward, 3 tears back + 1 click 3 tears back, 3 tears forward + 1 click I'll try to make a demo of it and post it as a reply when I get a chance.
I guess it's the same as any scratch, start slow and get faster and faster. Once you lock in the movement you notice they're just another 2 clicker combo and you can flow with them really easily.
Hardest scratches for me for some reason are chirp flares, and stabs lol...i cant do real fast 1 clicks i think thats why when i pick up the speed it gets all train wrecked
@@BeatsBeneath Honestly just about anything that's in the medium to advanced level. 2 or 3 click variations or whatever. I think I'm stuck in a rut, I repeat the same patterns a lot so I'm trying to diversify my patterns.... But just about anything would be helpful, always looking to learn. I like that you did a video about variations, most videos just do the basic scratch and leave it there... Thanks
I'm finding it much more difficult to get the fast autobahn than learning fast chirp flares and its really annoying I'm thinking its because I'm on cdj or just practise ?
Yeah man, course! You'll struggle with some things but any practice is better than nothing. I learnt to beat match on virtual DJ before I ever had decks or anything like that.
No it's slightly different. I've heard them called "babybahns" since I recorded this video. I always just thought of them as 6 sound autobahns. Boomerangs are mirrored, where as this scratch is not.
Forgot to add in the combo with bumpy knucles whilst autobahning. Any others I forgot?

Autobahn into boomerang into 2 click orbit. The boomerang is the magical bridge between closed and open fader 2 clicks.
The intro to this video is your best yet! Cool effect.
Safe, thanks!
Great video! Love the video transitions. Nice work.
Thank you man. Ive been working hard to learn all that!
More advanced Scratches please
The six notes is an original autobahn and the nine notes is Rafiks version I believe...
Who made the 6 note one?
@@BeatsBeneath Good question, there is a four note too... Maybe Rafik did make the first one...
I always thought it was rafik...I'd never seen them before scratchlopedia breaktannica where he demod them

Your autobhan sounds sharp!
Thanks man. spend as many hours doing em as I have and yours will sound sharp too! 😄

Dope!
6 sound Scratch its called short autobahn and its dope for phrasing
We call it the baby Autobahn
Baby-bahns yea
Never heard that, dope!
Awesome you going to do more tutorials as well?
What tuts you wanna see dude?
Interesting video. I’m not that good at Autobahn, I find them a bit unnatural to do, so mine sound a bit robotic.

Bro im exactly is same place,i find myself back to same cuts over and over..like i cant train my mind to switch up
@@chubbyboy2242 Ah OK, I think I have something in mind that could help.
How the hell do you do the rotate version mine just sound liked a delayed flare I can do the auto beam fast 85 bpm
Heh you just gotta pracrice i guess. It can feel like learning a while new scratch starting it from a different spot at first.
@@BeatsBeneath would you say its more difficult to autobahn on a cdj 2000

is it alright to start off with a dj controller and then move to vinyl once you have learnt to scratch?

Si Hargreaves thanks for the reply. And I mostly just want it so i can scratch over my beats to be honest😂 great tutorial by the way
What is the name of the beat your using to scratch to?
Dunno it's actual name. It's the 33rd beat on Broke's Wave Looper though.
@@BeatsBeneath Thanks DJ Broke has some Awesome loopers and I know the Wave Looper. I'll check it out. ✌Out
The scratch with 6 sounds, is that a Boomerang scratch?

@@BeatsBeneath ooohh so you move the sound forwards then at the end pull back to the start of the sample?
I thought this would be a Scratch (coding) tutorial
Must be your lucky day! 😅
