  • Our good friends Paula & Wayne kidnapped us and took us to a castle in the mountains of Colorado. It was the most interesting and amazing thing we've seen while out on the road! Tag along with us as we explore all the nooks and crannies of a 160' tall stone castle that was built by one man over a period of 51 years (and is STILL under construction). We were also fortunate enough to obtain a personal interview with the architect & builder, Jim Bishop, during our visit.

This man is a dying breed. Also the love he has for his wife and carries a picture of them. I cried. What a true American. The fact that he still goes on with whatever health problem he has and a broken heart is amazing. Mr bishop has truly lived.

Exactly. I felt very fortunate to have met him and to be able to show people the softer side of this man. If you watch a lot of other videos on UA-cam, he’s always portrayed as an angry old man and all they want to show is his political rants. To capture this side of Jim was wonderful.

Back in the 90s, a rave party was run out of Bishop's Castle by the county.
The whole crowd migrated up Phantom Canyon to my property near Victor.
It was somewhat unexpected and a train of cars, trucks and old school buses was not a usual sight up there.
The transplanted rave went on for a couple of days (loud weird music annoying the mountain folks for miles around), and they kind of trashed the place.
In the aftermath of that semi-unplanned fiasco, one man was walking around in the early morning with a plastic bag in his hand, cleaning up the trash the ravers had left behind.
    That man was Jim Bishop.
He gave a shit what had happened to our place through no fault of his own.
That is the kind of man I knew him to be.
    Great guy. Great castle.
Don't forget it is also the resting place of his son, who was tragically lost during the construction of the castle.

Plainansimple all the mindless Democrats and Republicans and the people that actually vote for this crap. Love your videos man keep putting those out there God bless your family.
