- How to shoot good beauty? Let me share with you 5 tips that will help you get better at beauty photography. I will tell you how to choose your team, pick a model and makeup artist for beauty, how to use backdrops for creative and more pleasing outcome, how to pick correct light and suitable modifier for the best beauty photography. I am talking about tethering wit Capture One and tethering with Lightroom, as well as how using a grey card can tremendously help you with your white balance and overall, better beauty images.

Vera, what brand is the the Ipad arm (7:05)?
Hey Vera! I have the exact same godox sk400ii light and modifiers that you use, however, the light is so harsh and bright and not flattering at all. My small home studio is all white. I’ve tried moving the light in various directions and moving it higher and lower and closer and farther. The light only goes to 1/16 and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong to get beautiful flattering images like these. Please any help would be appreciated, I can’t find info anywhere on what I may be doing wrong

Does your Neewer Softbox fit with your Godox MS300?
Absolutely. It is a Bowen's mount, so any modifier will fit.
What size are those?
Do you always use the silver side of the reflector as fill?
Depending on how strong fill I need. I use white often as well.

Pause the video at 4:40 mark, so you're telling me you took that picture with a canon 7d mark 2 which has 20.2 megapixel? I know you probably used the 100 mm lens but with that camera for real? Please make this clear for me because i'm so close to get a tokina 100mm f2.8 macro lens!
Yes I use my Canon 7D Mark 2 for last 6 years non-stop, for all my work.

@@VeraChange I have a canon 90d which has 32MP, i bought a tokina 100mm f2.8 macro lens to combo them up. You think i’ll get similar results as yours? These kind of beauty photos attract me enough to start creating them as well ...
@@chereihbeats i am not familiar with that particular lens. But you should be fine. The crispy and quality inages are actually determined by quality of the light and the f stop you’re using. F8-F11 will be your best friend, maybe even f16 in some cases. You want everything sharp and in focus.
