Great video! Pretty amazing Redcat left all those screws un-Locktited. I only ran mine out of the box for about 15 minutes before doing this teardown. My front diff pinion screw was already slightly loose. I understand Redcat released a bulletin.
There were a lot of issues with the Sledge when it was first released and if you go back to first version Arrmas, same thing. I should say first release RTR. Most companies figure out the issues and correct them pretty quickly but that first shipment is def prone to issues.
Are those grub screws going into metal or plastic ? Because if it's screwing into plastic, the chemicals in thread locker will swell and melt plastics, which will cause big headaches in short order. If it's metal on metal, you're good to go 👍🏼
@rcilluminati26 yes, indeed. The carcass of these tires are really thick, as well, tho. I've noticed the Injora silicones are also really tight in them in height. Being that the Ruptures are a bit taller, I think the silicones will be perfecto in them, so I'm going to switch the tires out in the next week or so. I absolutely love the blues in my 9-10 pound FMS Blazer. I love that trail rig, and it is very capable with just the wheel switch and brass rings in the fronts with the blue silicones.
I like the greens in my rig, combined with the knockoff Hyrax clones. They conform well, and I'm not having issues with sidehilling. I'll see how they perform as they wear in more.
@@TomeOfKnowledge74 I have now mounted Ruptures to the stock beadlocks with soft Anti-Foams in rear and Injora greens up front for a tad more weight bias and it is golden now.
Awesome Redcat👌❤️🔥

Yeah, hopefully they can get the factory to do more prep
Blue threadlock is a lifesaver. I don’t think enough people use it.
Which number of loctite do you prefer on rc cars?
@@paolo8768 242-243. Just needs to be blue medium strength.
is there a reason why Redcat decided to put a 2 piece pinion in there?
I wouldn’t say that’s a RTR issue because I’ve never had any issues with my arma or my Traxxas RTR‘s

Metal, definitely need threadlock.
@@rcilluminati26 Cool, Thanks 👍🏼
I run the greens, and they still feel firm in these tires.
I just switched to greens. Will give it a shot. Definitely stiffer than antifoams I run in my other crawler that weighs the same.

My left front hub grub screw I can see blue lock tight but can’t see any on the right
Best to check all of it.
Who owns a .5 driver geez!! Also, I don't see the video for the ESC programming in your vids lineup.
lol. Better get one!
Sometimes it takes while to appear but should be up
It's a .050" (inch) driver. They're common with the micro crawlers.
