This is the fourth video I've watched on "how to make the best basmati rice" or similar claim. I have seen four different ways than the way I cook it. Seems they're all the best way. This vid is the first one to use oil, though.
I’m normally good at cooking rice but basmati always came out dry af in my rice cooker. My ratio of water was the same as cooking sushi rice. I’m going to try 1 part basmati and 3 parts water in the rice cooker and see if it get the same desired result!
Haha right maybe it is better to cook this with some viand such as ground meats, spices.. ok n short, savory rice. Soo yummy! And also good for JAVA rice. Yum!
Very simple and well explained. I love the music. Thank you very much
Glad you enjoyed it!

Can i cover it while simmering?
I would not..as the starchy water bubbles might spillover..

1 cup equals how many grams?
Always use volume don’t use grams :)
Always use grams, don't use volume :)
250 gms
What brand of basmati rice ?
Taj classic just as good.
If Uncle Roger sees you draining rice he will be very upset.
But it is the right technique for this kind of rice.
He has already approved draining rice , only for biriyani. 😍
I was looking for this comment 😂😂😂
Haiyaaaaaaa
"Well too damn bad" basmati rice is Indian Culture not uncle roger asain culture.
Do we use cold or hot water when cooking
It gets boiled before putting the rice
😂
Cold, because cold water heats faster than warm water
Thank you..
:)
so the rice-water ratio is 1:3 right?
Thought 1:2
no clue I always just messure with finger
Can I use Rice cooker ?
Same question
Yes you can, just coat the rise with either vegetable or olive oil prior to cooking in a rice cooker.
Yea but for me rice sticks to bottom of the rice cooker... Perhaps rice is too fragile for the cooker
Which brand

Mine were easy broken after cook😞 is it too much soak or boil?
May have cooked to long
Water ratio is 1:2 I guess
Me too my rice broke after soaking
@@imeldaw.m5525 Soaking is not necessary. Though you might want to experiment with different rice brands.
How many minutes it takes for pulo rice to cook. I know until it’s easy to smash. A time will give me a better idea.
Very very nice and uncommon recipe.
Yeah it didn't need any music, just show the work
in an easy way, 1 cup of basmati rice needs 1,5 cup of water
That's all
Not if you’re boiling it.😊
The video …shows a way to remove more starch with extra water. Which gives fluffy and separated rice.
This is too many steps for me lol
🤣😂😂😂😂
