Remedy lost some huge opportunity to use the brother of the progatonist to be the last boss, imagine, hiss giving some huge power to the brother and you need to take him down and then try to save him.. the ending without proper boss fight i dont think it was a good decision, good game tho
Vítor França i liked it because it gave me, the player, some kind of idea that he really didn’t want to hurt his sister. Even with the hiss infecting him he didn’t retaliate against her.

That's what I expected all along but I'm glad it didn't happen. As much as I'm terrified with boss fights in this game, I would have wanted a final boss though.

@@bodyno3158 funny I just beat the main story and that’s how I felt too. Wasn’t bad per se but it got repetitive. Like toward the end, i only got enough ability points to max out 2 paths, and I chose health cause I kept getting OHKOd in the beginning and launch cause it was my first power. Never needed to use any other powers except hover; only ended up using seize whenever it prompted me just to spice things up. But aside from the combat, the game was very immersive and quite a story. Worth a buy? Not sure. But it’s on game pass now so it’s def worth trying out on that.
The Anchor and the first Former encounter gave me the most trouble. I went from 120k to 20k source 😆 I was at the point when I thought Charge will solve everything 😂 Only after a few tries when I learned how to properly defeat the Anchor. Launching the clocks when it opens. Then when I first encountered the Former, I can't launch large objects yet so I tried to defect it with weapon and normal launch. I tried different weapons and in the end, Pierce saved my day and since then, I used it for single boss fights. They gave me so much trouble I think mainly because of falling. Dying when falling was an annoyance to me in this game 😄 Can't they just damage me when I fall and respawn somewhere? That's what they did in the DLC. I'm naturally curious and there are times I want to experiment especially in the first parts when I don't know what's down below in some locations.
The scifi horror tied to mundane household objects is great. Just the right undercurrent of humor as we pass by stuff like a picnic basket locked away in a maximum security panopticon.

This is like the Southern Reach Trilogy and the SCP Foundation. It’s a really good mix. I can pick up on a lot of references from the trilogy and the SCP website.
Nice bro, although you didn't say it in the video is obvious that grip is your favorite and mine to,is effective at all ranges exept an extreme sniping distance I love grip and my mods are eternal fire and the other 2 are sheer damage mods,with eternal fire mod you basically have infinite ammo as long as you hit your target,100% ammo refund on hit is awesome,,and with 1 absolute damage boosting mod and 1 prime damage boosting to this thing is a monster
Grip was my favorite too. I didn't get the Eternal Fire mod though but it was good enough that I used it most of the game. I tried Spin in the latter part of the DLCs just for fun but it wasn't as good in my opinion.
This looks inspired far more by Warehouse 13 and the Lost Room tv series. The Lost room had exactly the same concept everyday objects from a motel that had weird af powers.

So I looked a bit more into it, some reviews and stuff, but most what is shown is shooting red glowing people.... sooo... what do the bosses have to offer? More shooting red glowing people and only 2 unique bosses with one just being reused. I'm not really a shooter-kind of gamer, but with the right stuff, I'm able to make exceptions (looking at you Uncharted), but this. Sure it has some small scp vibe going on, but if shooting red glowing guys is the most of what you do, then sorry, I guess this game is not for me. Which is a shame cause an SCP inspired game sounds awesome.... too bad this seems to be mostly based on the boring parts of SCP

Boss battles are so uninspired and tiresome in 2020, you have a huge health bar (who uses that antiquated system anymore?) and get hit twice and you’re dead, soo fun. 🙄
That's why its called a "boss" its meant to be difficult. If you don't want to use a giant health bar and give the player a major disadvantage then don't put a boss in. Plenty of games out there with untraditional bossfights. But in a combat heavy game like this the more traditional approach is best. Look for horror games for more unique bossfight scenarios like outlast 2 or something
The mold boss was okay. Guess I was expecting more horror elements in bosses. The trailers made it seem rather dark and eerie. Gameplay mechanics seemed vast and combat oriented. This is just a glorified shooter. The graphics and voice acting seem okay, but that's the problem. The whole game just seems okay. With Death Stranding, TLOU2, and Ghost of Tsushima on the horizon, I'll have to pass this one up, at least until I know more about the others.

He would knock holes in the level and I'd leviate fall through them constantly. I beat him right as I was falling to my death one time.
@@habadasheryjones I discovered a quick way to defeat him. Only attack with Launch, does a lot more damage. Use the gun to destroy the orbs

How did you defeat the boss at 4:29 with the hold square or is that something you can do automatically or is it an ability? I can’t defeat him.
The hold square thing is called the compel ability, you have to fix an altered item to gain that ability.
