Sara. How disappointing that the wonderful colour faded it looked superb in the mould I thought I’d try it too. Regardless the soap still look great Thank you for sharing.
I have heard that an infusion of Annato seed makes a lasting beautiful orange colour! I'm going to try it soon but I haven't done it myself yet. Tanya from the Lovely Greens channel makes it and it's very nice. x
it is a nice yellow though! I remember reading that Amanda Aaron suggested using a lot more than usual in the powder form to get a dark yellow with turmeric
I really like these because they are natural and simple. it's a shame the colour faded a lot but i still love the buttery yellow and the texture you got. cornflowers are a good contrast too. Lovely x
Merci beaucoup pour cette belle recette juste une petite question si on veut utiliser du curcuma en poudre on mettera quel quantité merci de me répondre 🥰
I've tried tumeric. I just add as is or in a little oil. It gives a nice deep orange color. Maybe the infusion stripped some of the colorant attributes. I like your soap though. It's pretty💖
You are such a talented person .....It is amazing watching your wonderful tutorials but can you plz tell the exact amount of ingredients for making a 1000 grams of soap...Thanks in advance
Hi tellervo, thanks for the video. I followed your recipe. However, I didnt realize and used lactic acid instead of sodium lactate. Do you know if they are equivalent? Also, I used half of essential oil. Is it a problem?
Hi, I think I used lemongrass and orange essential oils for this one. Do you mean what you could replace shea butter with? You could use another hard oil like cocoa butter, it would give you a harder bar than with shea butter. Remember to run it through a lye calculator though. You can also select different hard oils in a lye calculator and compare which ones have similar properties.
I too tried making turmeric soap and the color was light orangy upon unmolding. End of curing it turned to white. Its a challenge to retain the yellow color using turmeric.
Yellow and green natural colorants don't work for me as well. They always turn cream or white after cure. I can only trust clay and charcoal as natural colorants^^
I thoroughly enjoy your videos! I'm learning so much. Your movements are smooth and easy and without words you explain so well visually. Thank you!
This is a great technique. I've been using ground turmeric as an additive. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much🙂
I find your video very relaxing! Your soap looks good!

Yes I was so sad, I think dried turmeric works better😊

Thank You so much!
Beautiful. I want to watch you make Neem soap please.
it is a nice yellow though! I remember reading that Amanda Aaron suggested using a lot more than usual in the powder form to get a dark yellow with turmeric
Thank you🙂 That makes sense!
Sara….ALWAYS love Your videos! Where did you purchase the soap loaf cutter? Hello to Molly!

Amando seus vídeos.
Do you have any idea on how to get that yellow colour...will it work if turmeric infused oils are used or turmeric extracts
Beautiful soap! I got an orange soap once using paprika-infused olive oil.
Nicole Frame Thank you! I might have to try that😀
You are such a talented person .....It is amazing watching your wonderful tutorials but can you plz tell the exact amount of ingredients for making a 1000 grams of soap...Thanks in advance
Thank you, that's so kind of you. I don't have the recipe written down anywhere else but in the video. This batch made about 900 g of soap.
I think this looks swell!
Thank you!
Can you please clarify my doubt. Adding lye directly to turmeric, will it not affect the properties of turmeric?
Hi tellervo, thanks for the video. I followed your recipe. However, I didnt realize and used lactic acid instead of sodium lactate. Do you know if they are equivalent? Also, I used half of essential oil. Is it a problem?
Sorry I don't know anything about lactic acid. Using less essential oil will just give a lighter scent.
Yes, I tried it and got the same results as you
How many essential oils can be added to a kilo of soap?
Can we rinse the tumeric before use
soo helpful thank you! :)
جزاك الله خير اختي الكريمة تسلمي والي الامام دايما
Hello Ma'am your soap is Natural No Scent? And the Shea Butter can replace to the same Properties? Thank you! ♥️

Wasn t it simplier for powder turmeric?
I too tried making turmeric soap and the color was light orangy upon unmolding. End of curing it turned to white. Its a challenge to retain the yellow color using turmeric.
That's a shame. It would be a gorgeous color if it would stick around!
I have turmeric soap that is 1 yr old and it has not faded. I keep soaps in a cabinet so they don’t get exposed to sunlight which will fade them.
I have the same issue with turmeric. The color fades out the next day 😢
It's a real shame.
Hi dear you use sodium lactate for what?
Mainly so that I can unmold the soap faster.
Nice videos
What’s NAOH and what does it do?
Yellow and green natural colorants don't work for me as well. They always turn cream or white after cure. I can only trust clay and charcoal as natural colorants^^
Yes they seem to be tricky. I am going to try different clays next!
Do the botanical turn brown? It happened to me with lavender and they look like mice poo 🤣
It just rinses off after a few washes. Lavender is a little different😁
Lol
Wouldn't dried tumeric powder be better? I don't know.
