Hi, this is Nistha Tripathi and yes I did drop out of MBA course from one of the most prestigious universities in the world, NYU Stern. I know this comes out as a foolish mistake to some people but I had my reasons and they worked out very well for me. In this video, I am talking about my reasons and experiences that helped me to take a smart decision.

So you dropped out not because the program is bad, but in fact it is an excellent program which helped you get what you want, but the issue is that since you already got what you need, there is not much point to continue the program because you don’t want to pay for the school fee.

Damn, it seems like a tough decision, since the money from the first year was already invested. But everyone has a different path, so I hope you are happy with your decision.

Don’t most MBA students have work experience already ? If you want to learn things from within why didn’t you do a job in a startup before an MBA ? A bd in marketing or operations doesn’t require an MBA.. what am I missing here ?

If you already had a job offer by the time your 1st year of MBA ended, you knew the salary offer and it would have not taken that long to pay off the loans (if you were taking loans) or recoup the education fees for MBA. Looks like it was purely for money reason that you did not complete education/obtain degree. After 2nd year of MBA you were going to spend the rest of your life 20-45 yrs working and making money.
