Let me say this. Isn't great to have sports media interview and talk instead of the criticizing players, coaches, bashing yelling and screaming trying to win arguments? And we can actually learn something. This was great. Great interview with civil men.

Superb interview, per usual, from the Great Dan Patrick. DP asks short, incisive questions, shuts up and lets his guest speak. That's the formula. Biggest mistake Jerry ever made . If he let Jimmy run the show and stayed out of the way, there is no telling how many Super Bowls Dallas may have won. Ego can be a great assey but also very destructive. Jimmy said it in the interview Jerry is the best business man ever. Jerry was right, a lot of coaches could win a SB with the team that Jimmy Johnson had built, and Barry Switzer did. But when Johnson's picks started leaving and Jimmy's thumb print was no longer a winning team. If Jerry had kept his mouth shut the Cowboys would have had to build a much bigger Trophy Shrine to house all the trophies.

The team itself won him another one. Not Switzer, not Jerry, but Jimmy's team who got him the first two. Since then...zzzz!!!!....???. Who are the common denominators in your winning years? Not you. The losing years? You. You are without a doubt, the King in business. GM, Quasi-Head Coach, Draft Expert, not so much. Your fans have remained loyal and your franchise is the most valuable one in the league. Now over 25 years later, you sounded like you were ready to bury the hatchet and put Jimmy in the Ring of Honor, a move that is long over due. Yet, here we are, and the name Jimmy Johnson is still missing and nowhere to be found. Please, do the right thing.
