Neo to me has always been a prodigy. If you read her own novella, her real name is Trivia, and at age 12 or if not younger, she activated her semblance because she already had problems with her parents with her semblance. She created Neo she always created her if she was lonely. Eventually, her father hired a combat instructor, Trivia, put sleeping pills into the instructors drink and went for a shopping spree and discovered she can disgused herself as the instructor. Her mom sent her to a private academy where Trivia met the Malachite twins. When she's in public, she calls herself Neo, and at age 18, she met Roman. They eventually became good friends he's the one that gifted her signature weapon Hush. She was forcefully brought back to her parents' house, and they kept telling her name is Trivia she didn't respond. So Roman asked Trivia, who do want to be called she wrote Neo. She ended up evolving her semblance after Roman's death and Cinders betrayal. She's gotten stronger and ruthless. As for the Jabberwacke, it's dead Neo probably set back and studied it and learned how to perfectly clone the real deal.
I don’t know if Neo could copy is ability in clones if the original died, we still don’t know how she even did it in the first place. It’s still up in the air until confirmed.
@nighton8223 She can't she can only remember the fighting styles and weapon transformation towards the clones. For example, Neo can make clones but can't add the effects that come with it. She can't copy semblance. That's a person's individualism, and mostly, that person's semblance isn't fully evolved and mastered. Neo semblance evolved 3 times the first time she when she started to disguise herself. The second is when she disguised the entire ship into an atlas airship, and the third is when she started making clones and remembering the fighting styles of people and their weapons as well.
Its probably a unique reaction caused by the nature of the everafter and the nature of Neo's semblance intermingling. Hell when it first happened even Neo didn't know what the hell was happening. She's like a player who just stumbled on an exploit in a level design and is making the most of it.

Something interesting to notice is that Weiss took a much more passive role in this fight. Without Ruby to back her up, I don't think Weiss feels comfortable to jump into the main fight, instead supporting the others with her glyphs
Did the Curious Cat just mind control that bird to his death? I'm guessing that the duplicates can't permakill something the way the real Jabberwalker can but it's not like the Cat knew that. I think the Cat's a bit more evil than they seem.

At the beginning i did think they ate too much. If you notice at 3:32 Weiss is way taller than Ruby, but in the next scene Weiss`s height is suddenly back to normal.
neo killed the jabberwalker and can shapeshift AND create clones of them. so imagine say her create clones of team rwby to confuse them and say sneak attack kill all 4 of them. then she does the same to cinder. heck if neo can copy the persons skills too even cinder and salem could potentially go down to her. especially since we also dont know what her limits are

Jabber'walker', the name was inspired by the Jabberwocky, and they are very different from eachother. Being the Jabberwocky's head looks something like a mix between a mantis and a leech, and the Jabberwalker's looking like some sort of dinosaur skull

As I’ve been explained by a whole crowd. It took all the of the armed members to take down just one, even if it barely damaged them they’d have to at the very most be taking on two at once, they’d be overwhelmed pretty quick the moment one of them was taken to the ground….

@Sonic SpeedProductions 2.0 I haven't seen anything that proves that these are any worse than Grimm. A little smarter and under the control of a psychopath probably makes them more coordinated, but that's it. In seasons 1-3, RWBY was faster and stronger, clearing waves of enemies on their own, more as a team. I'm not saying they would win with Neo creating endless waves, but it shouldn't have taken so long just to beat 1.

Yeah, especially so soon after that little chess match battle which had some genuinely cool choreography, this fight was pretty "meh" by comparison. Hopefully they're saving the best stuff for later.

Volume 1 when they were fighting the Deathstalker and Nevermore, two foes that ,at that time, were quite the threat even with their numbers, yet the choreography was awesome. Though I think I was a bit too harsh with this fight, the choreography itself is decent on a rewatch, the old teamwork is there. I think now that what it lacks is the speed, intensity and, as much as I hate the word, "Hype", its sort of needed to get the viewer pumped. I suppose all the fancy colorful special effects of old helped too, but they also helped cover up the clunky character models of the early volumes.
