I recently discovered a megadrive 2 va4 clone system that is hand built, it's a new pcb design with a real Sega cpu, SONY encoders and new capacitors with a see through case that is also hand built. It uses AV and s video ports like original megadrive systems but no hdmi out. Its rather expensive. It can also run the 32x.
Love your videos. Glad to be apart of the Wicked family. At Games typically has pretty bad reputation in United States regarding the quality of their clone systems. AT Games was caught up in class action lawsuit a couple years ago over their Namco Blast consoles. They were selling a inferior version of it at Walmart with NES roms instead the original arcade versions that were advertised to be on Namco Blasts system. I still love fact that fact you are only including affordable systems that are often overlooked or not even looked at in your list.

Few weeks ago i went for the real Sega Megadrive Mini that was released recently and i must say. That is the one to go for. It is a lot better than the atgames model 2. yes the AT-Games 2018-2019 with the right custom firmware you can play Gamegear , Mastersysterm , megadrive,- Genesis , Mega-cd and Sega Cd and of corse X32 all from SD. Its a good bit of kit and its Hdmi .
I have your number 2 choice, the best console so far, just the sound is mono . I heard of a Stereo console of this model on Aliexpress, but i don't know which one

I don’t really trust at games. I bought a sega handheld version & didn’t realise it had no save function, bummer. The screen was actually decent but the issue I had was it would not accept any of my sd cards, I hand many versions & storage capacities but it just wouldn’t read them. I was gutted that I had to return it.
U always forget to mention, that from the Bonus Games of the AtGames the Chess Game is a good one, cause the Mega Drive never got Chessmaster or Like the Master System Sega Chess. It is a good Chess Game with custom function and strong AI.

I love the fact The flashback hd has an sd card slot you can load with every game from sega and they will play on this console really well.

Solid top 10 ... I had a couple of the atgames models , all clone system have some flaws its just part of the clone experience.

the reason there is bad audio in most of them is because they all use firecore chip which has bad issues with audio
