Salomon TV Having an awesome role model who is tough, realistic (love the dark humor over this dark patch), strong emotionally and physically, supportive, and just an overall great ambassador of the ultra world.......just like Salomon for the cool production and glimpse into inspiring moments, people, and places. Many thanks!
I love the soundtrack. Very on point with the flow of the video. Can we have the full list of tracks with artists? I found only 2. And where can I get the no vocal version of "Told You"?
"Doesn't matter what pace you did, everyone did 205 miles out there." Love it! It's that kind of camaraderie that draws me to trail running and ultras.
I agree, and I believe racing community for the most part are very supportive. In the few races I've run the atmosphere was amazing and everyone cheered on irrespective of age, color, race etc. It was all in zest to make the finish line. I'm addicted ever since.
Hey everyone, Courtney here! 👋 Let's watch the episode together! Feel free to ask your questions in the chat box next to the video on the right 👉 Enjoy!
inspiring me since i started my journey to this ultra world! my first 50k is coming up quick. october 6th.!!! the ensenada trails 50k in ensenada, baja california norte, mexico. 10, 000 ft of elevation gain
Imagine, you’re doing your run, about 57 miles in, you’re tired but your doing good, no one behind you or ahead of you, your alone in the race. Then, in the distance, you hear a faint voice, kind of a yell, you try to make out what you hear, and then you realize what is being said. “WHO’S GONNA CARRY THE BOATS, AND THE LOGS”, it’s David Goggins, he runs past you at incredible speeds, “CANT HURT BOAT CREW 2” he yells. Idk why I made this, just felt like it lol
OMG I wasn't expecting David Goggings to show up lol.It makes me feel great that so many people know and are inspired by him.He is my greatest role model. This is also shown by the fake profile name though😂
At 9.25 - "50 hours later" after finishing the race, Courtney is stood there, cheering on racers who are still making their way to the finish line. So humble. What an inspiration to us all x
How's it going for you guys? I'm just starting too. I'm 31 but my cardio is terrible and I'm heavy. 5'9" and weigh 195. Former smoker thats mainly done a lot of upper body strengthening and worked leg muscles but NEVER ran unless it was for a warm-up. The most I can run is like 5 minutes straight and in working on losing weight. What's your journey been like?
giggityeffyou man I’m 5’10” and 250 and feel like I’m in pretty good shape. Also, 31. I’m strong as hell but yea the cardio could use some work. I think I need to put the weights down a bit and focus on cardio more. I bulked you a lot in the past year. Fat and muscle. I need to get back down to 210 where I was a year and a half ago.
I love that she's there cheering on the people in the back - the finishers and strugglers that are fighting against the cutoff time. It shows that she really do enjoy and love this sport and all the individual fights and battles that this is all about. A proper down to earth and passionate athlete - Keep running!
After just an 11 hour race, the only thing I can easily keep down is beer (water is an irritant by then). All food does not look, feel or taste good and my throat closes to rice-grain size. The next day I eat the grocery store, doors and all.
Courtney-you have no idea how much you have helped me by sharing your journey. I am 52, overweight and love trail running. I have a long way to go, but you are inspiring me to never give up!!! Thank you for being so genuine and honest. And I love your sense of humor! :)
Awesome! Having an ultrarace this october. After the last I felt really depressed for quite a while. Later I found out that a lot of people have similar experiences. I like the fact that this video doesn't show just the heroic, perfect parts.
This sort of thing is just pure inspiration for making change. The edit was awesome, and the more I learn about Courtney the more I admire the hell out of her. The cheering people in at the end was beautiful. Truly.

It's in all of us...we just need to put ourselves in situations like this to find it. Big up to SalomomTV and everyone who finished this epic run🤙🏻 Much love from South Africa
This is going to be fantastic. She could sit there say nothing and still be interesting given all she represents. Guts , determination and hard won and focussed simplicity.
Courtney I love the pain cave or the strength building place. For me it is a privilege, truly a joy and an honor to workout beyond my limits, after having been through usual brutalizations, violence by multiple people entrapment yaddi I don’t share this for any woe only to say there is nothing that can break the human soul. It is the greatest opportunity to have endurance, compassion, strength, and enjoy what building lessons can be found in facing the uncomfortable head on. Love the positivity, the humility and the shourtneys! No tight clothes over here either ☺️Thank you for being exactly you! Much respect.
Thank you Courtney!!! You make me realize that these 12 hour shifts in a hot and hard factory isn’t as hard as I think when I see someone stay up for days at a time and run 200 miles! 💪🏻🤩💪🏻🤩💪🏻 Thank you❤️
Me too until I read it over and saw ”ultra” in the title and then I figured it must be sports because I’ve only seen it in connection to sport and never drugs. In a way running on this level becomes a drug considering how much dopamine the body will release it is the epitome of reward for the body released by the brain in the same ways drugs will release that ”reward” (even if it’s toxic it engages the same mechanisms in the brain).
Would of been nice to have a vid of the winner aswell that guy must of pushed through even thicker hell to beat her, still amazed tho, incredible humans
That path in the beginning was from a book called Born to Run by Christopher McDougall. The oath was said prior to embarking on a swashbuckle of a course. Fun fact!
I loved this video. True legend in the sport. Thanks so much! I've recently started my UA-cam channel on Trail running and fast packing and I'm so excited seeing the sport growing rapidly.
