Yeah, it has that 19th century vibe, *but with a twist* ! Now I understand why the quality sounds better than what I expected for a recording dating back to the early 20th century. That being said, I wonder why _Zwölf Jahr_ ? I suppose it was a standard military contract duration at the time. Can’t be that 1945-1933 turns out to be 12, they didn’t know yet, or wouldn’t sing so happily that’s for sure lol…
afaik the 12 years were standard back then, and even still today so prolly thats the reason
