I think you need a new capture card and/or a TBC.
The one I use is still ok, but the cassette tapes are in bad condition 😭
So, I guess you need a TBC, but they're rather expensive. I hear VHS-decode can emulate a TBC, but it requires a little DIY. Have you considered either approach?
