The printer sucks. It always seems to recalibrate when I need to use it. Not easy to add paper in the middle of using it. My old printer was so much better.

You can either purchase the original by HP or compatible ink cartridges.
Personally, I prefer to purchase the original.
And usually, I manage to find a deal of 1+1 or all the 4 ink cartridges for a reasonable price.

what about the resolution to print on glossy photo paper? would it make a hi-res photo quality? or just fine? Thanks!

From what I know, he resolution depends on 3 aspects:
1. quality of the paper / media you are using.
2. The resolution you set.
3. The resolution of the photo you choose to print.
If all those align, then the print quality will be the same as what you printed.

No, this is Inkjet printer.
The printer sucks. It always seems to recalibrate when I need to use it. Not easy to add paper in the middle of using it. My old printer was so much better.
