Good evening Sunderdeep ji and Munish ji. Your discussions and explanations are simply top notch and this has resulted in me booking a Virtus GT which I would be getting in the 1st week of Jan ( I was looking for Jan since there are very few days left this year and no issues waiting for a 2023 registration vehicle). Earlier I was looking at Seltos, Carens, even saw Harrier and Safari. When I first saw Virtus when it was launched ( even before prices were released) and saw numerous complaints of the DSG (I was very clear that I want an automatic and not a manual and was scared of the issues in 1.0 in Slavia, Kushaq etc), I literally stopped even thinking of VW. My interest in VW was rekindled after seeing your videos. I hope DSG doesn't give me problems and the ASS is fine. The very first time iam moving away from Maruti where ASS has never been a problem. I keep my cars for long. My current SX4 is now 13+ yrs and less than 65k on the Odometer. Hoping that with the limited running wont run into issues with DSG and issues with DSG reliability are permanently resolved by VW. Now it's time for me to think of whether VW insurance which iam getting for 40k is better or Acko for less than 30K and what accessories to buy. Sir you mentioned in the video that you talked to technicians of both volkswagen and skoda regarding reliability of DQ200 gearbox with 1.8 TSI engine, I can tell you that my DQ200 with 1.8 TSI engine has been opened to change mechatronic within first 15000 kilometers of purchasing my Skoda Superb, but as you said this issue is less prominent in octavia which is why my octavia’s DSG has been functioning absolutely normally with same 1.8 TSI engine
How or where is the difference because apart from weight and maybe some level of tuning, how does it work well in Octavia and not in superb?? Or was yours a corner case with some manufacturing issue?
Absolutely agree with Munish Ji that it was very stupid of VW to not cap the torque at 250nm for DSG with TDI engines. Also, why didn't VAG provide the DQ 250 instead of DQ 200 for their cars with bigger engines like the 1.8 TSI Octavia??? Their customers could have afforded paying some premium over instead of compromising the torque.
Great discussion but I had challenging issues with DSG as twice the Mechatronics got replaced. Once under warranty and second time recently I paid thru nose. Clutch and flywheel plus fuel pump too got replaced at 1.48 L kms. Bill was of ₹2.4 L. DSG is a treat but costly if anything happens

Hi Sunderdeep d Ji , this info was amazing a simple request is to have a convo with manish ji about DSG only , at many places the topic got off tracked because of other topics . A simple video for all the general porpulation just and just about dsg and how to take care of it should be made . ❤
To everyone, whoever on average needs city driving, bumper to bumper, less highway driving, they should go to 1.0 ltre. But that does not mean it is underpowered. It is only that your average speed over months will be around 40-60 kmph. But if you drive on highway everyday and over the months your average speed is 60-90 kph, then go for 1.5 tsi. Other than that if price matters then you know the answer.
Thank you for discussing DSG in TDI . Appreciate it. Since i own a 2017 Rapid TDI AT now i understand my car's TCU is remapped and i hope Skoda has given extra protection for the water logging situation which Munish mentioned. Will it be safe to say 1.5 TDI DSG should be best driven with a bit less enthusiasm after the end of the warranty period so that peak torgue is well contained My Rapid is in it's final year of extended warranty period and so far I haven't got any problems with my DSG infact I am extremely Happy with its performance. Always gives me joy when I am driving. I never mind the lack of sudden surge of power in first 1.5 seconds in a standstill situation. Can you please discuss how to ensure DSG in TDI work fine for existing Vento and Rapid owners like me who own remapped TCU DSG vehicle Since we would not own a new TDI DSG vehicle. Which is a shame. So how to ensure this DSG problem never occurs or is avoided. Appreciate if you can cover it as well.
Enjoy your videos. What do you suggest on signals and stops for more than 20 seconds recommend we shift to Neutral to protect the 1.5 DSG or keep on D but press the brake. Shifting to N better for me as can give feet rest.

@sunderdeep ji and Munish ji do we need to take any precautions while using the 1.5 DSG engine in city bumper to bumper traffic? Do we need to use the paddle shifter during this time or move to Neutral often?
Im sorry i dont understand the language. Whats the verdict?
Great video Paaji. About Taigun, GT manual mil Raha hai but it can get discontinued because it misses on a lot of features.
Correct
We had a q3 1.4 tfsi until november 2021 unfortunately it got into an accident
It had 148 bhp and 250nm torque
When i drove virtus gt or taigun gt i felt the same sensation after 30km/hr as i am driving the same car even more punchy
Maybe because of less weight of cars
That brings us to the point how can someone compare 1.5 dsg with creta seltos and honda city
Its way above those cars , only those will understand my point who have driven the tfsi q3 or A4
Wow! Good to know that you came out safely after the sad incident. 👍
Excellent man🥂👍
Very nice informative video
Slavia 1.5 dsg it is possible or any chances gets heated in summers like Delhi where the temp goes upto 45 or may be higher than that if we use full capacity of the engine
Mr Munish if u are reading this comment kindly
Give ur value able comments
Thanks
Also video on driving etiquettes for DSG and how to care for it will be much approximated.
If the so called automotive journalists were true to their work, we would still have fun to drive reliable cars with supreme build quality 🙇🏻♂️
Tum bohat achha kaam krta he Sunderdeep Bhay🫂❣️
Volvo and Ford endeavour use five cylinders d5 in Volvo and t6 summom petrol discontinued in India in 2013
Sir I'm disagree because I'm also use 3cylinder engine Hyundai grand i10 2015 diesel engine.but engine life of this car is 1lacs kilometres.sir answer pls
They were not using balance shaft, use averaged quality Servo Engine Oil and aren’t as well Engineered like VW Skoda TDIs
Mainly bcz 1.1 and 1.2 crdi is fitted with very light nd low quality crankcase parts. Like crank bearing, pieces, connecting rod nd even crank itself. This is fact. U cn confirm frm any good mechanic. No one will deny
Amazing as always 👍🏻
because of this video i went ahead with DSG, ❤
with 6 year warranty
24:14 Diesel vs Petrol comparison ho jaye 👍🏻
Hi Sunderdeep d
Ji , this info was amazing a simple request is to have a convo with manish ji about DSG only , at many places the topic got off tracked because of other topics . A simple video for all the general porpulation just and just about dsg and how to take care of it should be made . ❤
Munish ji Engineer hain kya?
To everyone, whoever on average needs city driving, bumper to bumper, less highway driving, they should go to 1.0 ltre. But that does not mean it is underpowered. It is only that your average speed over months will be around 40-60 kmph.
But if you drive on highway everyday and over the months your average speed is 60-90 kph, then go for 1.5 tsi.
Other than that if price matters then you know the answer.
I am planning to buy automatic Jetta or Octavia. Should I stay away with Diesel with DSG. Please suggest.
Good video. DSG discussion was really insightful.
Thank you for discussing DSG in TDI . Appreciate it. Since i own a 2017 Rapid TDI AT now i understand my car's TCU is remapped and i hope Skoda has given extra protection for the water logging situation which Munish mentioned.
Will it be safe to say 1.5 TDI DSG should be best driven with a bit less enthusiasm after the end of the warranty period so that peak torgue is well contained
My Rapid is in it's final year of extended warranty period and so far I haven't got any problems with my DSG infact I am extremely Happy with its performance. Always gives me joy when I am driving. I never mind the lack of sudden surge of power in first 1.5 seconds in a standstill situation.
Can you please discuss how to ensure DSG in TDI work fine for existing Vento and Rapid owners like me who own remapped TCU DSG vehicle
Since we would not own a new TDI DSG vehicle. Which is a shame. So how to ensure this DSG problem never occurs or is avoided.
Appreciate if you can cover it as well.
*PLEASE TALK MORE ABOUT REMAPPING* 🙏 LOVE THE VIDEOS!!
Please create the video Amaze Diesel CVT.
Enjoy your videos.
What do you suggest on signals and stops for more than 20 seconds recommend we shift to Neutral to protect the 1.5 DSG or keep on D but press the brake. Shifting to N better for me as can give feet rest.
I always prefer shifting it to N by depressing the brake on long halts
@@SunderdeepSingh thanks 🙏🏻

Which you can pick as per the availability
1. Motul Eco-Tec Plus 5w30
2. Liquimoly Molygen 5w30
3. Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5w30
These are top of the line stuffs
Below are normal but good stuffs
4. Shell Helix HX8 5w30
5. Castrol Magnatec Stop Start 5w30

Interesting conversation
Lovely videos. Though i do feel you guys are more positive than critical on VW shortcomings, but i guess there aren’t that many. Great going.
Sir, how are the engines of the Jeep compass? both petrol and diesel?
Too good sir.
2.0 Multiair diesel is absolute GEM
True workhorse nd equally frugal
@@munishsharma96 how about there 1.4l petrol engine?
@@Gupta.Ankit. too good.
Its seems like VW DIARIES and a new episode of it. In real a true auto-journalist should have these sense of knowledge. Baki sab toh aise e sales person ka btaya hua phaenk re hai. Gehrai toh ap log bta re hai. 🤝🤝👏🏻👏🏻
