If you like stability shoes, try the Forza 4, it's the BOMB. It's my fav. If you wanna go with the GoRun Ride 7+, it's on clearance at Runner's Warehouse and they received rave reviews. The Ride 8 they began to go wrong. It appears they still have not recovered with the Ride 9.
Ride 8 felt firm/stiff/dead to me too. I also had similar issues with the rocker not feeling right on the Maxroad 4 (that and the deep pods not being ideal). The faster Hyperburst shoes have just worked better. The Razor Excess is awesome and is by far the best daily-capable trainer I have tried from Skechers. The rocker also feels great in the Excess. Sounds like I can skip this one and stick to the Excess.
The Razor + and Razor Excess are great shoes. If you want more cushion, I would definitely go with the Maxroad 4+ over this Ride 9. Softer cushion and lighter weight!
The go run ride 7 is still my favorite shoe of all time. Currently putting a lot of versatile miles into my saucony ride 13's and looking for something to replace it that just has that simple, no nonsense, kind of swiss army knife use shoe. I was hoping this would be it, but maybe not.
Skechers needs to make different shoes. They aren’t all gonna feel the same. The ride 9 is definitely more of a daily trainer easy going shoe. Perhaps a new foam that’s softer and more gear toward daily runs would be nice and if they leave the hyperburst for speedy shoes. With 34 in the heel that’s plenty of cushion.
I just got a pair yesterday and ran in them today. They were so not bouncy😧My knees hurt running in these. The shape of the inside of the shoe (the insole?) was nice and didn’t bother my feet, but it felt like I was running on dense blocks of styrofoam😐Nothing like the 7s which were my favorite til I ran them to death.😕I want another pair of 7s.
Hey, love your channel. Quick question. I'm looking for a daily/easy run shoe. I'm guilty of being a Nike Fanboy & enjoy their quicker/race shoes but I've never been a fan of the Pegasus and the React Miler while ok didn't blow me away. I'm a 1.28 half, 39 min 10k and 18.10 5k runner & I'd appreciate any recommendations.
I think the hyperburst is different in the razor shoes vs everything else. I have the OG razor 3 and the go run 7 and the razor 3 is so much better. For sure looking at the razor excess for my next daily trainer assuming the ride is close to the razor 3.
Yeah, is close, more stack makes them a little more supportive and the hyperburts don’t collapse as much as razor. For daily training and long runs the excess is better for me but razor is faster for tempos, interval.
To sum up the review for you guys....this shoe is a bummer just like last years version. I gave my pair to goodwill, but then I felt sorry for whoever was going to buy them for 10$. Go on amazon and buy version 7 because the midsole is soft as hell, and it has a better rocker.
CMIIW, isn't the mach 4 is 8oz in a US9, while Thomas said the ride 9 is 9.1oz in US10.5? Sooo.. basically very little difference in weight, right? edit: nevermind.. I'd choose the razor excess.
I haven't liked the Rides since the 3, 4 and even the 5s..... they've completely changed them since then.... higher drop, less racey, heavier, clunckier...... don't like the sounds of these either guys.... .....Any news on whether we are getting a Skechers Go Run 8 soon?
While I like Hyperburst, its success is holding back the brand. My favorite Skechers is the non-HB GRR7 with the Flight Gen midsole. That one was buttery soft and pretty light for EVA. I would have liked to see them iterate on that.
Agree on the Go Run Ride 7, first time running on Skechers and I found a no-nonsense, comfortable shoe. Too bad they changed the concept for the 8 and 9 (Not saying these are bad)
yep. same here. love the ride 7. disappointed with the ride 8. I wonder why nobody talks about the ride flow (ride 8 flow). it has the same stack height with the ride 8, but noticeably lighter and softer. but anyway, if the ride 9 is firm, I'd skip them and will go for the razor excess.
I'm thinking the same, not been running much, still have the 8s, may go look for more No one really wants a firmer shoe, this is disappointing from Skechers
Just recently acquired the Razor Excess and the Razor 3 (No Speed) Elite and I have already had the Max Road 5 for a couple of months now. Oh those Skecher names?! Well, it appears this is a solid shoe but too many other better choices out there much as I love my Skechers. That seems the consensus of reviewers.
Skechers is the shoe that never gives or gives enough! I continue to give them a chance and find them problematic! The fit and sizing is never right. The quality is ok and the shoes don't have pop after several miles! I always feel the shoes should be 15-20% cheaper in price- they have prices high then nike and asics- get real! Can they stop with the 3- 5 names for a shoe! Some of the colors make the shoes look cheap! Skechers is definitely not for me!
97% of the world thanks you for including grams!
Skechers shoe look are getting better, hope it continues

I m currently running with these and the ride is AMAZING

Love the Richard Petty colors. They just need to put the number 43 on the side.
I have this and I love them , I want other pair of skechers for hiit trading that are lace up , witch ones you recommend?

hope you do a review for the SKECHERS HYPERBURST SWIRL GLIDE-STEP TECH-MAX CUSHIONING 🙏🙏🙏
You guys are the bomb 💣
I love love love the Ride 8. I won't even bother with this one. RIP Skechers Go Run Ride.
Good time to buy Ride 8's: They are running about $70 on Amazon
I loved the FlightGen in the 7. I hated the HyperBrick in the 8. Hopefully the 9 is better.
Also loved the 7 (still pull it out every now and then for a run). My 8's were relegated to "everything but running" pretty quickly.
@@KoriRuns exactly, I wear my 8's at work where I do a lot of walking.

do you prefer these or the pegs 38 ? what's for you the best daily trainer of 2021 until now ?
Peg 38, NOVABLAST 2, brooks Aurora, hoka Mach 4

@@aristodiga82 I saw the Flow on Skechers' website! I didn't realize they reformulated the feeling on it. I'll have to check it out now - thanks!
I love my Ride 7. The best of the lot.
$135? Not at Running Warehouse, it’s $125 on their site.
Original spec said $135, things change
Oh hell yeah!!
3:32 - I'm sold! :))
These shoe companies never stick with a good thing. They always have to appear to be on the cutting edge, even if it's the cutting edge of garbage.
How are these compared to the Clifton 7?
Not as soft
@@Believeintherun Thanks
looks like a pass for me... gonna grab some more 1080v10’s before they run out

Did you say you're a heel striker Rob? Doesn't look like it...
I used to be a couple years ago, but now only if I'm real tired. If I said that in the review, it was a mistake.

2 guys entertaining one another. To much "other cute content" that is not necessary. Otherwise good.
2:25 "foreigner people" are the same people that are shopping the running warehouse EU that you are marketing. show some tact next time.
Well I don't feel at all it was derogatory in any way and I am a "foreigner person".
Based upon the review the 9 sounds like junk.
I am using these shoes and they are awesome. Very comfortable.
