Great series so well explained ! love the illustrations , thanks for taking the time to go into all this in such a clear and concise way. Have been scratching my head trying to work all this out , but am feeling a lot more comfortable now. Great channel which is sure to grow with such great content👍😀
Thanks Clint, your comments are very welcomed and much appreciated. I hope the video helps and I hope we get to see more escorts back on the road. If you have any questions I’ll try my best to help you out. Thanks again.
Well, yes and no. It was being build to MSA spec for some form of motorsport, hill climbs, stage rally or time rallies, but the whole project has taken about 4 years longer than expected, and as such, times moved on, for example, I think the seat bars are no longer MSA approved and that’s what I know of. So motorsport aside, I just want to get it finished and back on the road and I’ll take it from there.
Class video as always , wish I was building mine again following these, unfortunaly I’m already ahead of the uploads so have to work out every part of my build alone haha But I can say if anyone does or is building one follow all the steps from video 1 on your build as there all spot on. Well done again buddy your doing a cracking job 👍
Great video. I was wondering how I would work this out and no doubt with a bit of thought and a few mistakes would have worked it out, but because you are happy to do it I am happy to listen to the lesson and save myself some time. Cheers.
Thanks Todd and Meg, compliments indeed. I’m glad the video helps, that was my main objective when I started this channel. The comment is Much appreciated, and thanks for watching.
Excellent again. Im going through the agro of trying to find the slimmest Ford axle I can find as I'm going to run a Pinto to qualify for night navigation events but want some big boots for traction on an un arched car.
Thanks Benjamin. From the comments on video 2 on axles I think the Anglia has the narrowest axle of any ford. Maybe 4” less than the escort. You have to rework it and brake callipers may get pretty close to the chassis rails, but worth a look. 👍🏻
Hi, great video, have watched this part 3 times now and was wondering the measurement of your Monte Carlo arches on the top horizontal were the Cleco Fastener is about a minute to into video, regards Brian
Hi Brian. I can’t remember off hand and I’m not In a position to measure right now. Off the top of my head around 190/200 sounds familiar. Do your arches look similar?
@@noideabuilds9248 yeh mine are Gartrac & measure 190... did you use same wheels on front?& what is your tyre sizes. I am afraid that on the front my preferred wheel size 8.25” X 15 ET-6 may sit in to far, my front arch with body measures 1666mm ( arches r 90mm horizontal)
I only have 2 wheels at the moment as I wasn’t sure it was all going to add up. I have the 8” x15” ET-12 on the back but can fit a 9” on the back with ET 0 to -10, the front end isn’t complete end and I was going to try the 8”‘s on the front to see how they looked. I was looking to widen the front as much as possible with TCA’s and adjustable top mounts. If the 8’s look good up front I might keep them there and buy 9’s for the back. If they look bad I’ll buy the 9’s all round and keep the 8’s as spare. I wanted gold ones any how. We’ll see when the time comes. My arches where from Peter Lloyd, when I get the opportunity I’ll measure the arches and see how high and how far from the body they come. But let us all know how you get on. 👍🏻

Our pleasure to watch your progress of the Escort
Are you building it for a specific purpose?
