guys. I was so excited after watching The Terminator. The main characters Kyle Reese, Sarah Connor and the Terminator were so cool, that I think I will watch second part as soon it will be possible. Yeah, and music.... music just made me cry. During the whole editing time I heard that music I became very excited. That's why I'd like to say special thanks to the composer of the movie - Brad Fiedel. Dear Brad Fiedel, without your fantastic soundtracks, this movie masterpiece couldn't be so special

My favourite part, and a sad fact, is when Kyle said that he always wondered what Sarah was thinking at that moment in the picture. And she was thinking in Kyle during that tape record. Lovers across time....
The psychologist was tired because he had been asleep. He was on call and came in late on a Friday night. The night club attack didn’t take place until 10:31 PM, followed by a shootout, a car chase, a crash, arrests, transportation to the precinct, and initial questioning. Once they determined that they needed his services, paged him, waited for his arrival and then brought him into the room it was the early hours of Saturday. He finally headed out just as the terminator arrived about 3:30 AM.
He has professional deficiencies, sure, but I’ve never counted his being tired at a random hour as one of them.
Elena, it's great that you took the time to watch the first film in this franchise. When this was released, there had been nothing like it. People didn't know what to expect from the movie, and Arnold had only done small budget films prior to this, and of those Conan The Barbarian and Conan The Destroyer were the two that people remember. After this Terminator film, he received many action movie roles and his career really took off. The second film in this franchise is the best of them all, in my humble opinion.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is REALLY, REALLY good at playing a mechanical serial killer, especially doing it completely deadpan. Funniest line in this movie to me is when The Terminator scrolls through his list of responses when the landlord asks about the bad odor coming from the room and he chooses to say "Fuck you, asshole."
BTW, I think a lot of people miss that he most likely learned that line from the punks he stole the clothes from in the beginning.

Yes, certainly a marvelous soundtrack. I've bought it 3 times and it always disappears, somehow. I was stationed in Hawaii back in the mid-80s and used to love cruising around with the top down in my '68 Camaro, blasting these songs. Listen to them long enough and you start to feel like a Terminator, too. I was a nice Terminator, though. Great reaction, Elena, looking forward to watching T2 (again) with you.
Reese sadly died here, and he doesn't come back, but there is a deleted scene in Terminator 2 where Sarah see's Kyle Reese in her dreams.
Michael Biehn as Reese was awesome. All are great hammilton, Schwarzenegger. All fits perfect 👍🏻

20:03 Kyle has been wondering all those years what Sarah has been thinking of when this picture was taken, but he never got to know that she was thinking about him.
Almost in the first scene with the three guys, the blue haired is Bill Paxton, a very well known actor who appeared in Titanic, Aliens or Twister, among another ones.
Saw this movie with my youngest brother. We were both blown away . Went to the washroom and exchanged glances. Without a word, we both knew what the other wanted to do. We pulled a ‘Kyle Reese’. Like Kyle in the department store evading cops, we snuck past security and blended with the crowd for the next screening. We saw The Terminator again. When we got home it was already dark. We forgot our keys and couldn’t get in. Headlights and sirens as a cop car drove up the driveway and asked for ID. We were able to convince the cops we were okay. After they drove away, my brother and I climbed up the house and opened a window. We got in safely. We felt like Kyle Reese! Then I threw up… Not Kyle Reese.

There are only 2 real Terminator movies. The story and movie was too long for one so the writer/director, James Cameron split it into 2 movies. Terminator 2 might be the best sci/fi movie ever made as well as best sequel. You will love it. After that they movies can be ok but not same story or director or anything else. (you will enjoy watching T2 so much) Thank you for another great reaction. 🤩
One of the greatest movies ever, and a perfect example of how you can't change the past. You CANNOT change what has already happened. Notice all the moments and little things that went right for Sarah in order for her to survive. You were awesome, the music playing at the end was so right, blew me away, and when I saw those tears start when Kyle confessed his love for Sarah, WOW, I fell instantly in love with you, lol. Not only 🪘 and talented, but also a beautiful heart, very impressive. Can't wait to see you react to part 2, it is arguably the greatest sequel ever made.

Hi Elena, it's great you've seen this iconic sci-fi classic :) it's awesome! Yes please react to it's amazing sequel Terminator 2 as soon as you can - it's the GOAT sequel! And please react to Terminator 3 & Terminator: Genysis as well - they're decent sequels. Production on the first movie got put back several months... So in that time, James Cameron wrote Aliens!
Mainly filmed at night because it was cheaper and fewer permits were required.
That clanking sound in the theme tune is the composer hitting his frying pan and recording the sound. And you thought you watched Arnold stick a scalpel blade in his eye but you didn't because there is no blade you only thought there was a blade
For Terminator 2 - There are 3 versions: Theatrical Cut (137 min.) Special Edition (153 min.) Ultimate Cut (156 min.). I've seen all of them and I personally like the Special Edition. Your decision, of course, but the Ultimate does ruin something (can't say without spoiling). After your done watching I'd also recommend looking a little at the trivia. You might enjoy it finding out some of the details that went in to making it. Looking forward to more reactions.
You gotta remember that this was 1984, police departments weren’t as well armed as they are today. Back when this came out I bought a pair of the Gargoyles Arnold wore in this movie, still have them today.
My nephew is named after Kyle Reese. He was almost named after James Tiberius Kirk, but they decided that Tiberius would be too obviously a name taken from Star Trek (the kid had to live with the name after all). My siblings and I watch way too much sci-fi.
The first time I called 911 in California 20 years ago I got an automated menu tree and then waited on hold to leave a voicemail. “… Press 4 to be connected with the California Highway Patrol…” All while I watched my muggers continue running off into the distance.
Meanwhile, in Florida they’ve always answered live on the first or second ring with “Please state the nature of your emergency” (old school) or “What is the location of the emergency?” (new style).

One huge thing that almost all reactors dont get is that there are thousands of Terminators that were produced in the future. So that is why there can be Terminator 2, 3 and so on.
One of the greatest movies ever made very classic The Terminator directed by James Cameron starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Biehn, Linda Hamilton, Paul Winfield and music score by Brad Fiedel. This is the first film that Schwarzenegger saying his iconic catchphrase "I'll be Back". Terminator 2: Judgment Day cost James Cameron $96,000,000 more than the 1st to make, and is largely considered one of the single greatest sequels of all time!
There are 3 cuts of T2 out there. The Theatrical Cut, The Director's Cut, and a 3rd Producer Cut. The Producer cut was a cash grab abomination that should never be watched by anyone. So if you do watch T2, and I hooe you do, please stick to the official Theatrical or Director's Cut of Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
I also think you'll really love Brad Fidel's score for T2. He carries on the love theme from The Terminator. It's one of my favourite films of all time, one of the greatest ever made! I hope you enjoy it too!

I enjoyed your reaction Elena, especially the musical extra performance at the end! Before you watch Terminator 2, I recommend checking out a Trailer called "Terminator 2 Teaser Endoskeleton Factory". I have never seen anybody react to it yet, so it would be cool if you did, it just lasts 1 minute. I think this is a brilliant and unique trailer from back in the day, because it doesnt spoil the plot at all, like it is the often the case in modern movie trailers. This trailer doesnt even contain a single scene from the movie itself, yet it perfectly explains the setup for the sequel and why there is a second Terminator. However stay away from other trailers, because they contain spoilers

Terminator 2 is a "must" next.
The ending is sad, the road to the unknown, Sarah with the burden of responsibility for the whole world and all of humanity and the realization of the coming apocalypse.
October 26 2024 is thee 40th anniversary of THE TERMINATOR. This movie had thee lowest budget of all the movies in the series for 1 reason it was a low budget independently made movie. None of the major film studios would touch it. The budget was so low several scenes were filmed illegally. This movie was such a huge hit that those studios that rejected the movie bent over backwards for distribution rights. Terminator 2 got 15x the budget of THE TERMINATOR. THE TERMINATOR is my favorite movie don't like Terminator 2 but the majority of people do.
The way you mention the machine moves (24:29) is often via stop-motion animation. It's amazing that it looks even as good as it does in this considering that James Cameron did not have anything like the kind of budget that he would have access to in his later films (until this film he had not had a major hit). In fact, some on-location bits were actually shot wild, without permits, because of the very limited budget.
Brad Fiedel did indeed compose great music for _The Terminator._
The Terminator and T2 were the Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back for my generation.
The Terminator is possibly the greatest "B-movie" ever made. By that i mean, it is the greatest low-budget sci-fi ever produced. Some of the effects stand out like a sore thumb. But The Terminator is still a great inspiration for future filmmakers. Cameron showed us what can be possible on a small budget and its freaking amazing.
T2 on the other hand is the greatest action movie ever made. Cameron showed us whats possible once youve established yourself in the industry. And its freaking phenomenal.
I mean, Linda Hamilton was so great in T2, she made Sarah Connor one of the greatest, strongest, most iconic female roles ever put on film. Her Sarah Connor is right up there with Cameron's own Ellen Ripley in Aliens and Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind.
You gotta check out T2 after this!
Please watch Terminator 2. BUT DO NOT READ ABOUT IT AHEAD OF TIME! It is best if you come into it only knowing what you know from this first movie.

If you want to see Reese in the 2nd film, see the extended Directors Cut. Just know, the ending is different than the "theatrical cut", but in my opinion, its the definitive ending. It saves you from having to warch the increasingly lame James Cameron-less sequels.
Speaking of Cameron, his film "The Abyss" (1989) is also better in the special edition form... much better ending. But Cameron's "Aliens" is better in the shorter Theatrical cut
Nope. The Director's Cut ending is the same in the Theatrical Cut. You're referring to the abomination cash grab Producer Cut which was released without the cooperation of James Cameron. Both the Theatrical Cut and Director's Cut of T2: Judgment Day have the same, good ending. Avoid the abomination Producer Cut at all costs!
Also, NOPE, Aliens Theatrical Cut is literally just one missing reel, cut only for run time. Aliens Director's Cut was fully intended by Cameron to be the Theatrical Cut, but it was just too long of a run time for theatres! A large swath of the emotional base is cut from the Theatrical, so I have to disagree and only recommend Aliens Director's Cut.

1. Linda Hamilton ROCKED. She's really built in T2. "Terminator 2 Judgement Day" is the action movie GOAT.
2. Lance Henriksen/Vukovich, Michael Biehn/Reese and Bill Paxton/punk also played in "Aliens" as Bishop, Hicks and Hudson respectively.
3.We have limited AI now. So does China.😱😱
4. If this wasn't a movie the ammunition would not have been available on the gun shop counter.

Please at least watch the second movie. It ties very much in with the first.
When You watch the sequel make sure to watch the Theatrical release! In that way you get to watch the movie exactly the way the world got to see it when it first released! Also the other version has a lot of unnecessary scenes which don't really add much to the main story line.
I could see her wanting to see Kyle again in the Director's Cut, which I recommend. It's the garbage Producer Cut which should be avoided at all costs!

OK, maybe cutting the beginning of Sarah's nightmare is pointless to you, but my point is without wanting to discuss any more potential spoiler territory, if you'll notice, she did actually have an emotional reaction to Kyle and Sarah's love scene. Dude, she fkn wept! That scene was only cut for time, it being a theatrical release, and if you haven't seen The Terminator, it could be confusing (even though they go on to talk about Kyle for the rest of the run time) and it makes sense to omit it, So, no it's not pointless, the point is the emotion 🤌 I want to see her reaction to it! T2 is all about emotion and Special FX! On top of all that, the Resetting the Chip scene should be viewed and marveled at by everyone, every time! That's what you call Movie Magic! But yeah, I recommend both Theatrical and Director's Cuts, but the Producer or Exteneded cash grab edition should be burned, or dumped in a landfill, and then burned, never to be viewed by anyone ever again!

After you watch "Terminator 2," you might want to watch "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." It's way better than any of the Terminator 3 and onward sequels which, other than "Terminator: Salvation," are just creatively bankrupt attempts to erase the outcomes of the first two movies so they can reuse the basic plot of the first movie over and over.
Astonishing how easily some films become laughable over time.

For Terminator 2, please watch the Special Edition or Special Extended Edition. That's the complete film and experience. But honestly, skip all the Terminator movies after that. They were cash cows, while Terminator 2 ended the story, properly. And watching those versions, Special Edition/Extended Edition, will cement that fact.
