Thank you for this video! It gave the hint for what to do. My 2017 crv exl did not work by holding down the knob, but to rest it by using the configuration screen to reset the oil life back to 100%.

Not sure of somebody else left this information in a comment before me, I didn’t read all the previous comments. You don’t have to press that button until it flashes and then release it and press it again. You can just press it and hold it down for about 10 to 15 seconds until it says 100%.

Of course, glad I can help. That happens best thing to do is write it down or set a phone reminder to the correct time to get your service.
Ethan, you can just reset the oil life again when you do end up changing the oil.
Another little thing you can do to help; Honda car guy has a good Oil change reminder tip. One thing you can do to prevent any damage or sludge build up caused by a long overdue oil change:--if you are prone to forget to change your oil at the correct intervals, is to set your oil minder on your CRV at 4000 miles. Or whatever interval is going to Go to 0% oil life long before an oil change is actually necessary.
For example on my wife’s 2017 CRV, I have that set at 3000 miles even though I use the highest quality oil and filter, I could easily go 7k - 8k miles. I set it at 3k miles, because I like to change it between 4000 to 5000 miles.
One thing that I didn’t do the first couple times I change the oil and serviced our CRV is right mileage down like the lube shop stew. And before my wife and I met that is what she referenced to get the oil changed in her CRV. Once I learned that I started putting a sticky note in the service manual inside the front cover in the glove box. If I was deployed or something, she could easily look at that and keep the correct intervals going.

I was wondering how to reset just one item, like if it were A1,2 and I can change the air filter, but still want to keep the oil not reset, how can I just cancel "2", but keep the other ? I have seen videos for other cars but they have the touch screen not the push button. Thanks

Excuse me, I wanna ask you something, how many miles do you usually change your honda crv turbo 2017 oil ?
ferdi ansyah I recommend checking oil level every 1,000 miles and changing it every 5,000- 7,000 miles. The car is equipped with a maintenance minder which uses time, mileage, and type of driving and usually takes about 8,000 miles. On mine I change it every 5,000 just because it’s easy to remember and I drive hard.

It depends on time and driving habits actually and it’s normally between 5-8k miles

Sounds like it’s just on the maintenance screen setting you have 60% life before oil must be changed light starts coming on at 15%. If you hit the i button or the trip button should cycle through different screens if you do not want that on there. Hope this helps, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Okay Honda guy is this while the engine is running or the key in the second position also this person ran the vehicle past it says - 499 and I cannot seem to get the oil life to come up on the dash it has a flashing - 499
You can do it either way, I always recommend doing it with engine running though
