It would really help if you were to compare the plugin to the dry sources. There's no way to know how much (if any) of the lo-fi sound is baked into the source material, or what the plugin is really adding.
@dOllOP Hey, a lot of them are on sale now so you're in luck. As far as tape machines go, I would say Softube's Tape, Slate VTM and IK's Tape Machine Collection. Just got IK TMC for $95 with a code (2020) on Best Service. Slate and Softube are both $49 now if you look around. Magnetite is really good too and you can get it for pennies if you keep an eye on Black Rooster's sales. For tape delay, Pulsar Echorec, Audiority Echoes T7E (both Binson Echorec emulations) and Wavesfactory Echo Cat (Watkins Copicat) do a great job. Also Freakshow Industries MISHBY can be "stolen" on their website (ie "pay what you want").
you could reverse the audio of the stop effect, the instruments would sound in reverse tho, so i think you could first reverse the instruments, aply tape stop and record it, then the resulting audio you reverse it and boom thats it
I'm looking for something that does a ping pong/left right style "echo" delay that you could get using old reel to reel's. I used to love to overdrive the input channel and get crazy effects. I watched the video, but the demo seemed to be using it very lightly. Does this produce the results I'm looking for?
I want something that gives me the freedom of tape looping, fliping like you would twisting the A and B sides, as if you were actually making real tape loops. Nothing like that has been created (yet)
@@synthoelectro oh ok, i see. what i meant was, do you have an example of somebody doing what you described with A and B sides so i could hear what that sounds like?
Why do i lose the sub freq in my drum kicks when i use this? I'm no tape expert, but every other tape emulation out there adds low freq to the signal (Satin, Slate VTM etc), your plugin removes it.
The irony is that the hardware says "High Fidelity" on it, yet its now "Lo-Fi". Fantastic!
they mean highly reliable when they say fidelity.
I love that drum loop
back in the days we tried to get rid of those noises, now we're adding it loll what"s next? unmastering ? :p jk
lolz
lol you're right. it reminds me of distressed jeans in a way
Have you ever heard about lo-fi guys
@@paletsvedmi naw what's that
@@paletsvedmi :) It was sarcasm my guy but thank you
It sounds like a mediocre 80s tape deck with all its pros and cons. I love it
Ironic how "distinct Lo-Fi sound" is mentioned right when they zoom in on the tape recorder that reads "High Fidelity" haha
Sounds great, but I need comparison with dry signal!
He bypassed the wet signal various times
"If we jump over to France..." "...there's a lot of degradation there." 🙄😝
He is not wrong though... (forgot to comment this a few years ago, lol)
fantastic tutorial/overview, also I'm totally obsessed with micro-verb
Please add tape rewind function ! everyone wants it !
Cableguys’ ShaperBox has the closest thing to that in the time module
Love it. The best lofi tape plugin.
I have to say...this is pretty cool.

If you pay closer attention you will see him bypass and ub-bypass the plugin

@@zizjaturtle2703 rare to see someone aware of my guy Chris from airwindows. How do you feel about his tape emulations?
Seems like a great plugin, but does it have a tape start sound? I see that in the demo you can hear the tape stop, but what about start?
you could reverse the audio of the stop effect, the instruments would sound in reverse tho, so i think you could first reverse the instruments, aply tape stop and record it, then the resulting audio you reverse it and boom thats it
@@knifedotico7767 Thus, the type of workaround we try to avoid with plugins. Lol
To get the tape start sound, click "REC" next to "STOP". It'll start at the speed you set the "SPEED" dial to.
This sounds amazing. What sound pack is that if you don't mind me asking?
Sounds much more hi fi than consumer tape recorders from the 60s. I still want it, tho. Lol.
It's Beaut of course...Still, any chance of a rewind tape feature?
That would be cool. You can automate that in your DAW though.
I like possibilities of this one 👍
love this
MG the Future sent me here
Who’s here from monte booker
Emkai me!😂😂😂
Timothy Ntombela I just knew someone would be here from him 😂😂
Where did he say that ?
Can you use it to reverse audio? Sorry silly question.

You could look at tape echo emulations from Audiothings, Roland, Arturia, Cherry Audio, etc.

@@carlferre9885 I guess, virtual tape would be good, in software only.
@@synthoelectro oh ok, i see. what i meant was, do you have an example of somebody doing what you described with A and B sides so i could hear what that sounds like?
@@carlferre9885 like how people who use to make tape loops. Not only does it sound analog, but it has all these little nuances
Bram Bos' 'Gauss' is worth a look for that
How is the cpu usage on Live?
are you using a vocal that is already distorted?
Does it have a tape start tho? I saw a add that shows it but didn't explain
Yes! We have added tape start: ua-cam.com/video/bhwU2Ztmbwo/v-deo.html

YES!!! thank you! Please dont change the eq curve on Bass and Treble....they are just perfect. Just saying. lol
this bitch is good
that track is naaaasty.. what is it?
Maybe you shouldn't using transients to demo a tape plugin
Better than rc-20
Purely for tape effects, sure. But RC-20 provides a variety of effects; it's not a focused tape emu.
why it is not installed
No real wet / dry compare.
OOF France really can’t win anything rip
You left out a lot of potential detail(like, can you overload the input, for saturation?) so you could talk. Stop talking. Just, stop.
