You are so very correct. They were extremely talented. Their funny songs were awesome, and their serious songs were just as good. They clearly loved performing together.
They weren't just great entertainers, they were professional and brilliant musicians. They could joke and mess around without missing a note. Love them

pure music no politics no bragging what they have no drama no complaining about how how there job is. there just a bunch of guys having fun making great pure music that doesn't get made anymore

My father and his mates lived and worked on the railways out in the bush in Australia and it was hell doing such work. They often slacked off on the job, took ttheir guitars, harmonicas, slabs of beer to work and hid these in the forests as it was illegal to drink home made beer and moonshine on the job. They sometimes took me to work with them and they get quite drunk and sit in these old bark huts the men constructed to shelter from searing hot sun and I often heard them playing and singing this sing. They'd invent extra verses, dome of them somewhat lewd and crude. It'a wonder the fright trains could even run on the rail tracks which were in a state of desr3pair, fue to too much roll8ng in sweet baby's arms, instead of doing hard yakka, I suspect. But it was good fun.Though there were a few alcohol induced industrial accidents as a result, with men losing limbs etc.
I am an old lady having a ball with this bunch, they had fun and could make beautiful music. Shame I had to get old and they die before I discovered them!

Dr Hook were Brilliant - great voices and great songs. You never tire of listening to them. They had lots of fun. They really should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - shame they are not.
Can you name another band who had this much fun performing together? You can see how much they all truly liked each other. So many bands are so choreographed now that they look like robots. If you bought tickets to all the concerts of one band every concert would be identicle. Not these guys!!! Have LOVED these guys since I was in grade school. I'm 57 years old, so, at least 50 years I've been listening to them. 😅😅❤❤❤ They got away with many things groups today can only wish about. Subtlety was their secret.😮😂😂
