All those colors are beautiful for front doors!! Love love love.
My door is going from mango madness to joyful orange. Practically the same color but i love the orange door on my otherwise neutral house
I always say go as bold as you can with a front door color. I painted my front door lime green and I had it colored match from the lime green spray paint can. I get so many compliments on it.
Team pink door over here 😁
Yesssssss
Same!
Just painted my new front door a color very close to Winter in Paris & I absolutely love it! Compliments the peachy/orange brick on the house.
Ooo good call! Getting a lot of requests about what to do with orange brick
Almond -cream colored 100+ yr old farmhouse, with white trim, in Maine.
There are two front doors. The formal one that in the entrance to the living room proper; it won't be used much. And a less formal one, used more frequently, that is one a wide covered patio, and is the entrance to an open concept kitchen and dining & living room space.
What reds, blues, or greens do you suggest? French inspired colors appreciated!
I love the colors you’ve chosen. You have good taste. ❤️👍🏽
Thank you! 🤗
My house doesn't have a garage, so I bought a deep red car to match the shutters and front door.
I was inspired to do this because the previous owners had a bright green car and I found that to be very disturbing visually.
Hm, I might have OCD.
😁 OCD can be appreciated at its higher values area! The Red Car is at "✔" precision level!
... and Garages most always take away from the Visual of a House, I prefer them behind, off to the side and set back, or Under the House. An OCD of my own, you see.
BTW, Craftsmanships is the Precision of OCD. 💫
I love your videos have learned so much! Thank you 😊
Hey thank you for watching Reggie!
I went with blue, Sherwin Williams Storm Cloud. Almost went with green, but I’m happy with my choice.
Top Tomato, to me looks like the best shade of red for a front door. Along with the Buzz-In yellow.
All these colors are great for either front doors or back doors.
My mother, just today painted the inside of our front door. Painted it a color called Galaxy Depths.
Galaxy Depths…is a completely different shade of black there is.
To give you a graphic visual of what Galaxy Depths looks like, imagine that you’re coming in a room painted a jet black with no lights on and you click on your 1000 lumens, eye-blinding LED flashlight all over those walls. That light will bounce off with a sheen of a bright, dark metallic gray in that type of black, as if your flying through space with just a flashlight. That’s what Galaxy Depths looks like in its can and on the door. It is the darkest black I have ever seen.
Shazam!!!
Doo you think that a blue door will go with a lite yellow house ? i will apreciate your recomendation. thanks love your videos
Lovely colors! Especially liked No More Drama, Winter in Paris and Paparazzi. BM Tropical Teal would go well with those gorgeous bright teal vases. Our house is white siding, but we painted our front and side door BM Twilight Blue that matches our bird bath and gazing ball.
I love that idea!
What sheen would you recommend going with?
Time to paint the front door red! It’s SW Rookwod Sash Green right now. I want a cranberry-ish color. Sadly, the homeowner association only let’s us do brown, green, or cranberry. BORING. I want Ebony Slate or Toucan Black by BenMo.
What greens do you like for front doors
Hey James! I repaint my front door all the time. I have it orange during autumn and it's stunning. Turquoise is a paint I have coming to my door this week. AND YELLOOWWWWW! Yeah! My door is yellow right now on the outside door. But that door is coming off and the new door will be painted. Purple, yellow, blues, greens oranges. I change it up all the time. Loved this video. Show me the colour!!!!!!!
A door is just an exterior accent wall I say lol
@@thepaintpeople Hahaha! Got a real laugh from me on that one.
Please help me. My house exterior body is swiss coffee by Edward dunn. And iron ore fecia and trim . What color should I paint my exterior Block wall. But more importantly what color should I paint my front door?
James:
(Oh, you're gonna like this one!) 😁 lol
This is a great subject and one that gets countless inquiries, particularly from those whom have an interest in their home and environment offering a "Positive, Harmony, Well Balanced *Energies"* - the Value of Feng Shui.
Many in the Western World initially react to "Feng Shui" as being "Woo-Woo" or a Superstition, however, "Feng Shui" is an Ancient Knowledge and it has countless points supported by *"Quantum Physics Science".
Think of all the Values of "Light, and Light/Shade/Dark" in their assigned % on the LRV Spectrum. How the Color and its LRV affect *"Feeling",* our actual "States of Feelings and Emotions", and then go to what I consider the most important area of Quantum Physics: the defining of the *"Universal Laws", particularly the "Universal Law of Attraction" which *defines how our "Thoughts + Feelings X Beliefs = our Energy Frequency" and it is what attracts "like Energies on our Frequency" which manifest into material matter in our 3D World.
... now, let's return to the subject of "Feng Shui", and you have a whole new conception of its Value.
The Point I, very much, desire to see in an offering of Color Options for the Front Door, notable Decor Pieces, and Focus Areas of enjoying in the Home Environment, both Interior and Exterior.
A venue for your talents James, and "the Paint People" to consider addressing in a Series on the Subject. This can offer a most positive opportunities for your Channel and your Viewers.
Possibly you can select an Expert Advisor on the Subject for Interview, and kick-off a Series of videos that address a variety of opportunities for Color/Paint/Positive Energies.
There are 3 main Schools/Types of Feng Shii, which is the 1st decision on the subject. I encourage a sort of infusion, *"leaving out any of the negatives, as they can influence *Thoughts, these include Feelings + Beliefs,* and these are the most important values towards Reality, so *Keeping the Subject Positive is* 🔑
Once this decision is established, the remaining is Fun and Creative.
I hope you find this suggestion inspiring and *"I look forward to enjoying your works on *"the Colors and Energies with Feng Shui Values Series" by James & the Paint People,* here on your UA-cam Channel.
... how my Thoughts manifest into reality" will be a value I will be observing. 💫
Best Thoughts and Wellbeing ...

This is a very Positive and Fun "Co-Creating" ... 💫🌎💫
...and I know the Viewing Numbers will be most impressive! I just know it 💫
"Clairsentient and Claircognazent"
*PS:* Red is Fire energy, and Orange, Bold Yellows(*), "South Facing Doors" (associated with Sun, and in Astrology with: Sagittarius, Leo, and Aries)
"Black, Dark Blue or Purple, Dark Green" Water energy, "North Facing Doors", (Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio)
etc...
The ones that I'd like to find options with are the Western Directions: S/W, West, N/W, (Metals are in the Mix: Silver, Gold, Bronze, Copper, colors and metallics) (Stones, Sand, Clay, too, but then there's Crystals, Gemstones, and they don't seem to get a mention, I feel they are most important and worthy of an add to Color Options: Quartz, Diamonds, Turquoise, Ruby, Emerald, Topaz, and possibly my favorite Lapis Lazuli)
and Important in a "Victorian Influenced Decor".
(*) ... and the Red, well that will always be *"Caliente"* ... Oragne, well I may live in TN, but I'm neither a real TN fan (GO IRISH!!!) or a Prison fan ... But Tangerine is a great Or age qualifier. Yellow, there's so many Yellow's and I like most, but the Yellow that's on road signs is one that's not-so-much, but Banana Shades are most appealing, with their rich creams and the Mustard Yellow is great in color schemes but not-so-much in a large singular statement. Its a case by case. (Just my taste feelings on the South facing Fire Energy Zone)
Well, here goes. My small cottage type house in a brownish red with white trim and my front door is a lively, bright Mediterranean blue. So, put that in your pipe and smoke it. 🤗👍🏻
Great selection of colors and analysis. Thank you!
How about SW: Mello Coral with a black storm door on a 1956 Bedford stone ranch house??
Where do you get these colors I want the key large!?

What brand is top tomato?
Or Buzz-In at the doorbell.
Yes, I just deleted a phone number off my phone from my old apartment, labeled “Buzz Me In,” which was the main door to the building for delivery people. Game show? (Don’t Canadians have security doors?)
I love the paparazzi.
What color do you suggest for a red brick house with black shutters? I like yellow
I'm wondering this as well. Please us!
Loved Winter in Paris and Cracked Pepper. Are these Sherwin Williams paint ?
Behr Pro from Home Depot
These colors that you mentioned are great for lighter colored houses but what if you have a black house? My house is muskeg gray which is very deep charcoal almost black. What color would you suggest for a front door. The trim around the windows are white
Pink would be fun and would pop!
Green?? Honestly I already know which one I'd like. Jack Pine by Benjamin Moore. Gorgeous colour!

Something besides blue or gray please. I don't want black. , Red or yellow either
I have a hard time!!! Maybe you can help. My house is dark, dark gray with white white trim. Which color should I use?
My house is dark grey with white windows, I've painted my front door ochre yellow, but you can add pretty much any colour with dark grey, go bold!
"Assuming you like to socialize..." - I want a doormat that says 'NOT YOU AGAIN' at least to give the UPS guy a chuckle.

I didn't see him do that, when was that pair presented?
@@carabenfield4240 Right around 3:15.
No green? I went with cactus green on my dark blue house. Looks more organic.
Love blue and green together!
I've always heard the Chinese do the same thing when they pay off their house.
My front and backdoor are yellow.
