There are a lot of recurring themes in this production, so yes, this was basically the same song that Burr sang in the beginning. Same melody, but different words. This happens one or two more times in the play. You will see this happening with a few other songs, too. You will also hear a lot of the same phrases used along the way, but set to different beats or melodies. Lin Manuel Miranda was very intentional in his choices with the music. I agree with the other person that said it; you have to watch the whole thing to get it, or you’re not going to get it. At least watch Winer’s Ball/Helpless/Satisfied together. Again, watch the whole thing to get the full story, or you’re going to miss some important clues as to what’s going on in the story. Thank you for the reaction, and have a great day.
I've been watching your Hamilton reactions and I found many of your comments hilarious. :) if you don't mind me sharing food for thought, I'd like to do so. I think you would really benefit from watching the whole play so you can get the full picture. You have some misunderstandings. Hamilton was told from the perspective of Aaron Burr. It shows how both men had similar ambitions but their approach was different. Burr kept his plans close to his chest, while Hamilton was an "in your face" kind of guy. Neither approach was necessarily wrong but both of them could have done some things differently. Burr could have been a little more forthcoming but Hamilton also could have shown more restraint. In this song, Burr is not getting Hamilton entangled with ladies nor is he trying to distract Hamilton from his goals. He said "Hamilton's skill with a quill is undeniable, but what do we have in common? We're reliable with the LADIES!" It's actually supposed to be humorous on that part. If you watch the whole play, Burr is not trying to sabotage Hamilton at every turn. Ultimately, that is what Burr felt Hamilton was doing but you'd have to watch the play to understand that. This song is what leads into Hamilton meeting the woman he married. Don't get me wrong, you are entitled to your opinion but I am hoping to help you to see the full picture and the story that Lin Manuel Miranda tells. Lastly, from a talent perspective, Leslie Odom Jr. is one of the most talented actors out there. His portrayal of Aaron Burr is one of the finest in Broadway History and Hamilton would not have been the monster success without his huge contribution. But you won't be able to appreciate the full story or these two very different men. Again, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to make you "like" Burr. Their story is a tragic one and Burr learned a lesson much too late in life but it really is one of the best theater pieces ever. Just a little perspective. :) I hope it was okay to share that.
@@chunksreacts5722 Absolutely. It's really a great story; best history lesson ever. Both Burr and Hamilton made mistakes with women. But Burr loved Theodosia and Hamilton loved Eliza. You just have to see it to really get the masterpiece. You take care.
Good afternoon from Australia 🇦🇺 they have started rehearsals in Sydney They are not touring Australia so if you want to see it you have to go to Sydney
Chunks..ur Chunkette right here🙋... I don't get this but my daughter loves it... guess I'm just old and used to Old School... I've never heard any music myself from the mid-90s through now.... here's a good one try Culture Club ' Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?'..... I think that would be a cool one I'm sure your fans will agree...Love from Venice ca.✌😎
You're skipping over important parts of the songs by talking over them, but it doesn't really matter cuz you I guess you can just watch them again later.
Peggy, Angelica, and. Eliza 😂. I would suggest watching Helpless and Satisfied in the same video since they really go hand in hand
Yes, this please!
