I'm not a country fan myself but I love this particular song. And I'm so encouraged to hear so many sensible strong black voices speaking out on the ridiculous misinterpretations surrounding it.
It’s deliberate misinterpretations. They know they’re being dishonest but we can’t have a white guy from the south singing about looking out for his community and rejecting the complete disrespect we’re seeing in major cities. There is no place in their worldview for that.
Your lucky dude because my black friends in texas are profiled and when pulled over guns are drawn (but doesn't happen to me or other white people) and have you seen what they are doing at the border! Yes it still exists unfortunately and the video in the background is all BLM stuff and you don't understand what his grandpa handed down and he's saying try that.... it is better now yes but it's not how it should be yet! Glad you've had a good life that's how it should be ❤
*David...I value your opinion. Thank you so much. Our country is so divided that we* *need to hear from intelligent critical thinkers like yourself to continue to speak up.*
I would argue it's not black communities, its folks from a small town who know and people who are watching the video for themselves and saying, there's nothing racist here. It's truth
ew you sound racist af and all you who like this person's comment is nothing more than virtue signaling c***. everyone should be proud of they are and weather you like it or not, everyone has a preference to like their own "type"
This is by far the BEST reaction video to this song. Congrats to you David for standing up for common sense, real values and the protection of children and women.
America is not innocent. The whole controversy is not political until we make it about politics. Their are small town with big city influences because crime exist and their are big cities with small town influences where people avoid the nuances of criminals. America was built on crime and violence.
Who was after them to begin with? Spreading fear proves racist intent even if he did not say it. BLM has never protested there so why did he use that hateful footage? Family tradition bud. I know it when I see it.

I’m a mainah and this song rings true for the north as well. I care for my neighbors no matter who they vote for, what the choose to do in their free time or what color they are. Come to do harm and meet resistance but if you come to build and grow be welcomed with open arms. ✌🏻 from the 207.
I'm mixed and we experienced more racism in New York than we did in Alabama and Louisiana. Haters are everywhere, but we were really surprised to see how well people help each other out of all races in the small places.
I am Black and I am in support of the song. What is interesting is how the country has responded to the video. First we have small communities inside large cities with similar unity among neighbors. and their is crime inside small towns. We have an issue that we have ignored this entire 21st century. And we have a nation that facilitated the problem during the close of the last century.
@@squirreltastic-k5v Yeah, the race baiting lame stream media. People on the street don't view this song as racist but the media, as always, is spinning the narrative they want the masses to be brainwashed into believing. Fortunately, the majority of people are finally waking up and buying into the propaganda.
Im an ol white lady (70 yo), that was born in the south, lived in the south all my life, i have never judged anyone based on their color... I judge someone on their character and im so glad that ppl can see that jason is not singing about anyones color, most of the criminals in this video are white... Hes down on lawlessness committed by anyone , so i agree with you God bless you and yours ❤️🇺🇸❤️
You never judged anyone based on their color? Oof, I can kinda see what circles you run in, or at least, what circles you DON'T run in... sometimes I come across colorful people, and the more colorful they are, the more they SUCK! "Dude... how can you be THAT bad at paintball? Cover is important, move fast if you gotta move, deliver suppressive fire if you can, and ideally with others providing cover-fire as well as you reposition, and use flanking tactics if you have the organization and communication for it, IT'S NOT HARD!" (The joke came to mind and I told it. Dunno if it'll flop or if it'll stick the landing and I don't really care either way, I think it's funny... even though I literally have never played paintball once in my life. But I DID get shot once, voluntarily, out of curiosity. Uh, yeah... I DO NOT recommend it, especially if all you're wearing is an old worn-out t-shirt that is little better than just being shirtless. OUCH! But hey I did literally ask for it out of curiosity and he only hit me the one time which was the plan, all good, and well it's hilarious in retrospect so it was totally worth it :D)
I've watched quite a few reaction videos to this song and this is by far the best one. David speaking nothing but truth and facts. This gives me hope that the silent majority realize this is madness.
Sounds like it’s a point of view because they both grew up in the same town. And explaining exactly what the man sings about. Black or white you punch an old person unconscious, your ass will be dealt with. And then your dad is gonna whoop your ass when he gets home.
This song is for ALL colors, ALL communities and ALL GOOD people pulling together against the bad people who may try to take advantage of or hurt our families or friends. This is good vs evil....no barriers. We all have to love each other and help each other!🇺🇸🗽🙏❤
Respect, brother. I have never heard this song. I read the lyrics and all the new stories and am so confused. Props to you for having your own voice and not being a parrot of what everyone else is saying.
Thank you for being another American from a small town and can understand this. Small towns are like little kind worlds. You drop everything to help someone out. This country needs to realize, there are more small towns than big ones.
I'm white and I can't stand Jason Aldean or country music! Jason Aldean belongs in a small town with the rest of the white trash he associates himself with!
@@rashadlewis8345wait, are you claiming there's no small towns in Alabama? Or what? How about you talk in full sentences so that others can comprehend what you're attempting to say.

The Man upstairs doesn't see color, He sees decency, Compassion, understanding, among other traits. I grew up in a town off 150 people this song would apply to my hometown.
How does it apply? Marauding herds are causing crimes in those towns? Let me ask, is there ever a crime committed by locals there? Take a look at the many small towns with high crime rates per capita. Plus, what is this, some sort of brawl between cities and small towns. The song is beyond stupid.
I am a 78 y.o. white woman. I think this song was intended to cause controversy & it has. I think, rather than racist, it is a conservative dog whistle. One thing I do keep asking though: where are the good small-town black people in this video? People in the scenes of violence are every color but the good small-town people are one color only - white. I'd like Mr. Aldean to explain that.
I was raised in the HOOD in a small town. I grew up giving RESPECT TO MY ELDERS, no matter what their skin color was. We all lived & struggled TOGETHER on the eastside. People looked out for each other and each others property. Most people these days are only looking out for themselves. David, I appreciate your approach to this topic. You're a pretty level headed dude & you are on your way to great things.

I don't know. My parents were racist until they started working with black people and realized that they were people too. I remember once in school, someone told me that I looked like an Indian and when I told my mother, she said, "They didn't mean it as a compliment."
This song is about truth. The way things are today. Crime running rampant in a lot of cities. This song is about being held accountable for your actions. You won't get away with this activity in a small town. We don't allow it. The police are not just around the corner in a small town or even in your town. We take care of most problems un til the police arrive maybe 30 minutes to an hour away
You said it correctly. I actually tear up seeing how many podcasts people support what's right.. all as one people. God doesn't see ethnicity ..we enter heaven equally entering on our day. Soo proud of us as a people standing together not allowing them to divide us. That we allll are patriot Americans wanting the best for our community, families.
David is such a good dude. Very calm energy regarding complex issues. I miss the days when people had this energy and would talk about problems rather than try to talk over the other person until its just 2 people shouting each other down mid-sentence and nobody hears anything or learns anything and nothing changes.

I was born in Macon, GA too. Lived there in through the 80’s until the mid 90’s. I am proud of Jason Aldean. He’s absolutely correct, even the kids in my neighborhood stood up for one another.
Amen David Lucas, speak the truth! The problem is most people don’t understand that all people matter in a small town…… I’d hate to wake up tomorrow living in NYC where people don’t even acknowledge each other. I always greet anyone who walks by me or past me and in the cities they just ignore me. The People who don’t like this song are just simply heard hearted and lost. May God help them and open their eyes to the Truth.
I'm from a small town myself...much smaller than yours and Jason's. There is a higher level of respect for community in the small towns. The song captures the sentiment of that respect and vocalizes it perfectly. We care more about each other than fitting into some ideological box that only serves to divide people. I love your sets on Kill Tony and just wanted to drop a like and comment for your channel. Much respect to you and I wish you further success in your ventures.

Love your comedy and love that you aren't afraid to speak your mind and heart. Thanks for lending your voice to the support for those like Jason Aldean.
99% of us didn't know there was a lynching at that courthouse. Now that I know, I can pay homage to Henry Choate, so can the rest of us. Aldean never intended what those blowing dog-whistles are doing. He just wanted to talk about community, respect, and love for each other. Appreciate your reaction, thank you David.
Other film productions have filmed at this courthouse including Disney. Its located near his home. They wanted to use a building that resembled the white house.
And there was another music video recorded in front of this courthouse last year, I think. I believe Taylor Swift did it but someone can correct me if I am wrong.
Yeah the liberal media must've just learned about the lynching to because they never said a word about other artists picturing the same courthouse in their videos like Hannah Montana
Also there are no dog whistles. That is a made up term they created to say that even when if you can’t see the racism in something trust us it is there.
I'm not from a small town. Matter of fact I'm from Detroit. I'll say this, I grew up in a different era. I lived through the riots in the late 60's, I remember the war protest, I remember racial tensions of the times. This song reminds me of the things we didn't tolerate in our neighborhoods. I'm not a big country music fan, but this song is what was needed.
I am really impressed by you, and thank you for your critical thinking and honesty. Younger people like you give me hope that we aren't completely gone as a country.
David, Thank you for sharing your insight on this song. You can be black, have dreadlocks and tattoos, i'll still share some beer and bbq with you. I'm from a small town in Central Coast California. Being from small towns, we share a lot of values. People that seek to destroy our country with their divisive rhetoric will stop at nothing to smear anything and everything they disagree with. God bless you and yours.
My whole timeline is this song! I'm from the UK, I was never a County music fan. But after being told not to listen to this, I went straight to listen to it. And now I'm a County fan. I believe there was a lynching in 1827! 194 years ago!
I want you to notice something, anytime the Democrats can use something historical to keep black people in line, they always remind them "there was a lynching here, so how can you support this place" as though black people need to be led around like dogs who can't think for themselves. They aren't mad at lynching, they just use the lynching to get votes.
Thank you for sharing the truth about your experiences. People cry racism on things that are not so. I am white and my husband is black and in 17 years in a province in Canada that was known for possibly the most racism, my husband has had isolated experiences of less than one jerk every two years.
Love your stand up man and as an American of Mexican descent no country is perfect but there’s on country that everyone risks their lives to get too and this is it. Agree with you💯
That’s right David! Some people are shouting “racism” where racism is not intended at all. I’m Brazilian and when I moved here I thought that all the talk here about racism was good and even thought that we were racists in Brazil for not talking about it so much. Now I realize that is actually the other way around. Thinking so much about it seems to just create more tension between races. I mean talking and thinking about racism, not race. Fact is, in my opinion, that we can talk about races and our cultural differences without the idea that noting the peculiarities of all and anyone is racism. We are all the same: humans. But every human is different and every background is different and that’s fucking awesome. There’s nothing bad about it. Also, perhaps some may think that the history carries racism to the present and therefore has to be ignored or erased; like this guy couldn’t have this house in his video. I don’t know… too much already for a UA-cam comment… my bad. Keep killing btw, you are funny as fuck!

Hello, ‘neighbor’! Heheh. I’m in what was a small town only 30 or so years ago: Fayetteville, GA. About 20 to 25 miles south of Atlanta. First time I’ve come across your channel. I agree with you 100%. Keep speaking the truth and do it loud and proud. Love and light to you and yours! 🙂
Speaking FACTS! Growing up in the 90s we had a couple channels to watch but we also just went outside and played until the sun came down. We were influenced by our parents and our community and I thank God that I was still able to grow up in a generation where we got to experience an un-tainted version of childhood.
Exactly! We were always outside playing sports, riding bikes. No internet, no smartphones and if you were lucky you had a friend that had Tecmo Bowl on Nintendo. Kids these days mostly glued to a screen.
Thank you for trying to bring people together instead of divide them. I’ve loved watching your whole run on KT and I hope I get to see you live soon. Take care. 🙏
Hi David! First time seeing your channel. I loved everything you had to say, especially as a fellow parent. My daughter is 9, and I am also in fear for her future. I wanted to comment though because I grew up relatively close to Macon myself, in a VERY small town 30 mins east. Growing up, whenever we had to go shopping it resulted in a trip to Macon. Nowadays Milledgeville has grown exponentially so I get my groceries and staples from there, while Macon is reserved mostly for doctors visits lol. Macon has changed a lot over the years, especially due to it having grown as much as it has. While Milledgeville is no where near the size of Macon, I’m seeing this happening with it as well. As I get older, I become more and more thankful to be from my small town. (Aside from small town drama that is, but I’ll happily take that over the alternative.) Like you expressed in this video, things were different when we were growing up. Cities have always had crime, but there was still a sense of community in areas within them. It seems those ways are dying off along with the older generations. I pray this manufactured race-war comes to an end soon and people open their eyes to the politics of it all. We’re all human, we may come from different places and the color of our skin may vary, but at the core, we’re all the same. From one Middle Georgian to another, congrats on the success you have created for yourself and may it continue! 🤗
Thank you for educating people about patriotism in a small town. People sometimes fear what they don't understand...thank you for sharing your experience and understanding of this concept. Hopefully this will be tranformative for some viewers!transformative transformative

Aldean has probably been the most successful and longest running country artist in the last 20 years. His band is fire they are one of the reasons hes been doing it this long. The music stands the test of time man, it really does. Classics from like 08 09 and hes still making that shit in 23. Crazy
Enjoyed your input! We need more good people standing up for each other like we do in small towns..I'm from a very small town, probably less than 10.000 scattered over miles, we see people as neighbors, racism isn't an issue in no way here, we help each other when the need arises..people who cry racism is what's causing such a divide! I guess we're blessed to have good people here of different races, there's no division here whatsoever..it's a spiritual thing! Thanks for such a good video..🙏🇺🇸🕊️
I don't even like country music, but this song is fire. I have been singing it and bumping it in the car! I am from a small town in SC as well and I know for a fact that this song was not depicting anything racist! It's funny that left has made this song bigger than it probably would have been. When you go woke you really go broke. We have these rappers talking about shooting, looting, smashing random people, and this song is a problem? Try that in a small town just like many black people representing streets/hoods that they don't own smh!!!!!
I don't think much of rap either but Tom MacDonald is the Man. Music is a great way to express what the majority of people are thinking. I was raised in a small town in Missouri. We had no problems that couldn't be worked out in our community. Sometimes there were fists but nobody died.
Thank you David! I personally don't think it's racist. It's a song about criminals and the crimes that are happening in big towns and, to a certain extent, the choice people make to either allow it, justify it, or just remain oblivious to it. I think the song is about how things like that are not ignored in a small town. They're dealt with in the attempt to protect one another.

I only know David from Killtony and I’ve seen him on the secret show but I’ve never got the impression that he wasn’t his own person. He was on a video where he took Bert’s crew to his family home and he seems like a great regular dude.
Why were you afraid? It’s okay to disagree and still like someone. I like the song but I also think they made the song to be inflammatory. They knew showing a video saying things we all agree but depicting it as the only thing good and wholesome in America was a white good ole boy family would be click bait. the only thing black in the video were the criminals. The lyrics were fine the videos imagery was inflammatory on person.
This morning I probably opened up over 20 reviews of this song by fairly young black reviewers and not one of the saw any racism in the song or in the video.

I raised my son, born in 1970, in a mid-sized city (200k), however, our neighborhood was just like the small town I grew up in. Everyone knew everyone, where everyone worked, etc., and if one of the kids did something wrong, their parents knew about it, before the kid even got home. There would have been hell to pay, if anyone would have come into that neighorhood, with ill intent, toward one of the neighbor's, their kids, or property. I got a call at work one day, from a neighbor three blocks away, when my son was 14, saying that he was hanging out in another kid's yard, at 11 am, on a school day. Nowaday's, the people who consider neighbor's like this as "nosey", are the one's who are doing the destruction we see on the TV/internet, with hoodies and mask's on, to hide their identities.

Yeah, anyone who actually ever lived in a small town knows this song is 100% facts. You know half the town, if not more, on a first name basis. You know all the business owners and their families.

Because lots of people work hard for what they have... And they care and look out for one another. Don't do something or everyone will know about it

Mr. Lucas you have so much raw talent it is amazing! I wish you the best of success Sir, for your view on the world through comedy is enchanting. Wishing you all the happiness !
Love you my man! We can always count on your for a voice of reason David!
Man thank you for sharing this. Your reach is much more than I could ever reach. My grandad used to always say whats wrong with living right. People just look for things to be offended by.
I love how grounded, articulate and insightful your review is- thank you!
i was almost afraid to click this, thinking you were going to follow the party line. thank you for being honest. you never disappoint.
@@desmundlighten3603 i was afraid of how dissapointing it would be to lose faith in David Lucas like so many other influencers who have gone to the dark side.
good on you for standing up for what's right. need a million more just like you.
A lot changes in almost 60 years.
But those changes dont have to continue being made...which is the point of the song.
Haters will keep on hating and racists will keep pointing to others as being racist. Mainstream media news networks are a lot to blame for keeping issues stirred up. I will keep on believing that Red Brown Yellow Black and White we are all precious in his sight.
Much love and respect! Thank you, David! Please keep doing YOU!! you're a blessing.
Thank you for discussing this your opinion is valid given you travel and are aware of what takes place around the world. I first discovered you when you recently interviewed Rossann🌸
I live just outside of a small town of 1600 people in Texas. We don’t care if you are black, white, or purple. We take care of each other. We stand up for the flag. We start all gatherings with the pledge and a prayer. I love your channel and your humor. You guy man. Thanks.
"We start all gatherings with the pledge and a prayer" Lol, never change America.
I dunno man. Those Purples, taking all our jobs
@@pbplauralfilms Only because Gen Z and young Millennials don't want to work anymore.
Im from texas as well im mexican American i can say yest we take care of each other
So the pledge to a flag comes before prayer?? Thou shall not have no other God before me.......that fellow trying to find something to say.....he even contradicted his own self......he didn't even want to tell the truth about the court house!
My parents raised us to show the elderly respect no matter what their skin color was. This was in the late 50’s and 60’s. You are right we are all humans. It doesn’t cost a thing o be nice.
David- Mad respect for speaking up when you didn’t have to. Damn. straight. I’m live in Columbus Ga.
Fyi- I’ve been using you. And Tony. To make me laugh. I listen over and over on my commute to Nashville every week. Makes me feel better. I ain’t got much cash, so lemme just say I owe you one. I’ll see you on the road one day maybe. 😎Thanks. - STONE
Leesburg, GA here! Nice to meet you!

@@CROONERSTONE Yes sir! Albany is that big city where I was born at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital! Lol
I love when I see logic being used instead of all emotion. Thank you for this.
David Lucas is just a good voice to hear even when he’s not being funny .
Money is more important than giving a ish about racism. Tony is ya daddy
I grew up in a town of 1,200 people, My Graduating Class was 56 kids and all but 4 of us knew each other from 1st grade. If someone came to our town and started rioting and acting a fool, they would find out real quick that they should probably leave.
I live in small town texas with my mixed race children and navajo wife. I would do anything to keep my neighbors and their businesses safe. Regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation. Not a big fan of radio country but I bought it anyways to put a middle finger up.
Edit: I knew you had to be country because you like fishing so much.
I love your message ♥️. One of my black friends and I and her 83 year Mother often get together to compare notes about the latest racial divide. Thank you for being just another HUMAN trying to make it in this life and also trying to make it better. ♥️☮️
Thank you for speaking up and defending this song.
So well said, my friend. Thank you from me, my children and grands. We CAN overcome the political elites, simply by joining hands. You inspire! Peace to you and yours. ❤
Hey well said to you as also @jimpollockmusic
Yeah, anyone who actually ever lived in a small town knows this song is 100% facts. You know half the town, if not more, on a first name basis. You know all the business owners and their families. You own multiple guns and learn how to shoot them from a young age. When people do some shit and try to hurt someone, they’re hurting someone you know personally and care about, not some random like it a big city. That’s why you don’t get away with it, people are compelled and feel obligated to stand up.
Man it be the same three families having monopolies in these small towns we don’t care about them lol
This sums the entire song up. Well said.
What about the part you cant burn a flag in a small town or they will do violence to you? 100% facts. No rights in a small town.
I'm from a small town.....the theft, gossip, backstabbing, violence especially domestic, is just the same everywhere.
@turkeeg7644 but this isn't talking domestic violence like spousal abuse or something and let's not try to compare some small town violence or theft to this violence in the video that took place in 2020. These wanna be thugs killed 20 innocent ppl on the street at the wrong time, beat ppl to a pulp that were just minding their business, destroyed businesses, burned buildings to the ground, etc etc. I'm from a small town as well and when Antifa showed up we shut them down and they ran away like the coward wanna be thugs they are. They are being funded by soros and its appalling not one of them caught on video got punished.
Well said sir. Definitely use it for walkout music to show how ignorant people are being. Much love man keep doing the damn thing.
"If that means racism, give me more of it." 🤣 God bless you, sir!
I’m not country music fan but this melody got me and the song is soo meaningful i got emotional i keep playing all around i don’t care what people opinions
Pandering 😊
