I rode behind 2102 too!!!! Only it was in 1971 on the C&O Greenbrier branch!!! These tracks were removed except from Cass to Durbin....and are back in service. The building is GREAT. Wish I had half the talent. You have made me try 3D drawing again....we'll see. Thanks
Yeah I hear ya. I actually don’t mind those type of channels but it’s not really my thing. Plus, most of the new stuff is kinda lame these days with the dated controls and wacko fantasy paint jobs.
@@normstrainsI am inspired every time I see the printer come out. 3D printing has made such a difference in the hobby. Love the building! I’d love to see more videos like this later on
@@SouthernTennessean Agreed, 3D printing is absolutely amazing for this hobby. It makes scratchbuilding far more accessible, and makes a lot of projects possible that simply wouldn't be otherwise. This one is a perfect example.
Terrific project - interesting architecture well detailed and painted. Like the weathering too. More interesting in that spot than the building you replaced (though that looked cool too). Perfect placement of the utilities and utility pole. You've got a great eye. Thank for sharing this build. Really enjoyed the narrative.
Very nice Norm. It does add a certain northeast styling to the block and the new Creality was awesome. Thanks for taking us through the process, I feel like the length and detail was about right. Happy holidays to you and the family. I want to see a vid on those new Baldwin cabs you slipped in there, I think with the Tuscan they are BP-20 units, noice! 😎
A couple of those shots I thought were real buildings. Shows the level of your skill. Great job. I think the building looks right at home in the layout!
Norm: I thought you’d been kidnapped! I was ready to pay the ransom, I’m glad to see a new video from you. As usual your work is phenomenal. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Norm... wow! As usual, your creativity and craftsmanship are amazing. My favorite comment was "not very fancy". I'm going back to work on my balsa and coffee stir stick builds and in 9999 more hours of practice, maybe I could build something like your great builds. Thank you for sharing.
Great build Norm!! Some pigeons and an old alley cat would look cool around the building!! Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and yours Norm!!!!
Well done. I really like your work. I don't know how the people in your model neighborhood are going to react to the lose of their liquor store and tattoo parlor! Seriously, I wish you could do some instructional videos or DVD's on using Tinkercad and how create trash cans, furniture, doors or even buildings. I have a 3D like your Ender. The main difference is that mine is covered in dust from lack of use. Thanks for showing us your project. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Really cool project! The interior looks incredibly real. I've been considering attempting an entirely 3D printed building, but I really don't have any idea what I'm doing with structure modeling.
Hey man, love your work. Question for ya, this train season aka winter, I have decided to get into the transition era again after about a decade of modeling modern trains. I really like PRR fast mail trains but I can't really find any good solid information on them. I can only find pictures, really. Do you recommend any books or websites to find info (specific consists, power etc etc) on them? Thanks in advance. Keep up the great work. P.S. I'm sure no one would mind a couple CMSTP&P run throughs on that PRR layout of yours, not sayin, just sayin. lol

its SO good to see a train guy actually be a modeler, unfortunately "model" railroading had devolved into spending money and bragging about it
