Hey Dave, I am considering getting HDP5000, I have been using DTC1250e for a while and the settings and inconsistency in printing is just unbearable that is being ribbon getting broken oftens and the color printing often produces tiger lines (random lines or white spots here and there). Do you have any experience with HDP5000 if so do you recommend it?
I think these are just like the hdp5000 but these in the video also had problems printing. we had to turn the heaters up in settings to keep them from making the ripping off look you see at 4:00 in this video. in setting it has to do with the amount of heat is applied to the ribbon. i think it was under lamination speed. transfer dwell time. "Adjust the Transfer Dwell Time to control the Lamination Dwell Time or throughput speed of a card in seconds per inch and the Lamination Temperature." • Default = 2.0 seconds per inch • Upper Limit = 5.5 seconds per inch • Lower Limit = 0.8 seconds per inch
@@daves.projects thanks! Another queetion tho, how do you find it printing grey color? I have heard that the ribbon is unable to produce true grey or dark grey instead it comes out as pinkish. What is your experience?
They can print on those types of plastic card however ability to encode of the data depends on the model and whether you have fitted programming equipment
