We have been in India for more than 150 yrs.But most of us left after the border war in 1962.Today, indian hakka chinese are mostly in canada,sweden,austria,usa,germany,australia,uk...... love from sweden.

Tone and dialect of the woman is exactly the same as my dialect in Pontianak, Indonesia. From many Hakka language videos on youtube, I finally found the dialect of my ancestors, for example Chicken = Ke, lots of hakka videos on youtube mention chicken = Kai
It's a pretty mindfuck at Meizhou because Moiyan Hakka is like a secret language anywhere else in the world. You can talk shit with family and no one around you knows what you're saying because of how different it is compared to Cantonese or Mandarin. Then you go to Meizhou and you have to be mindful of what you say because suddenly everyone knows what you're saying and you can even use it in stores.

Yes you need, the shortest you take a train from Shenzhen North, and it is also an interchange for Hongkong-mainland high-speed train then transfer to Meizhou West! Meizhou is very worth to visit...

It is a language. It is the same as Javanese. It is a language not a dialect. Jakarta can be considered a dialect of Malay language, because virtually everybody who speak Malay can understand Jakarta dialect.
