Finally! A new holland review by Neil
Please do more New Holland subcompact and compact tractor videos
If you go back 12-18 months though our videos, we had done several. Its been awhile.
Neil actually has more sub compact videos on UA-cam than anyone else covering specs, pricing, product comparisons and pros and cons. Just look through the videos. He is the contributing reason I purchased my kubota BX2380. If I was not so far away he would have sold it to me himself.
@@AdamSmith-uv6kr Agreed. Wish they were closer to me. My local kubota dealer has a terrible reputation.
Just bought the workmaster 25s with factory cab, bucket and 50" snow blower. Delivery tomorrow I cant wait !!
Just checking out the comments to see how many people wanted to see this vs. the BX. Another good overview video, Neil. Thanks!
Hi Neil, I’d love to see more of this machine!
I get the opinion on the drive over decks. In my case I got a drive over because I can't pull the deck from under the tractor for the winter season due to a medical condition. I bought a Kubota BX23 series with loader, mid-mower, and a few accessories. When I was looking at different brands I would have found the info about the drive over components being lighter duty useful. A comparison of drive over decks and their component quality would have been extremely useful to someone like me. I got my tractor for mowing and snow removal because I can't handle a snow blower, shoveling! Or the rougher ride of smaller riding mowers anymore. Your channel helped me in my decision and is still helpful with useful info on how things work and how to do certain tasks correctly to not damage my new tractor. Thanks.
Would definitely like to see more workmaster 25s videos. Very good looking tractor
New Holland the most underrated machines on the market today
Well NH is the highest selling tractors in the world so, may be JD fans are just much louder i guess.
@@hp2084 or easily fooled
@@RJ1999x I just saw Neil's latest video where he talks about JD implements and thats even better.
The LS MT122 & MT125 are the exact same tractor as the NH 25S and I believe all of them (NH and LS) are selling almost as fast as they can be produced
@@ARCSSelfDefense I had to wait over a month for my MT125 this summer as the demand was so high. So far i'm very happy with it.
I’d definitely buy this over a Kubota. Metal hood, heavy 1400lb capacity front axle, the 3pt hitch is simple and strong, and the engine is great! And, it’s blue. The implement pump and PS is separate, too. That’s a huge bonus. Also, as a larger person myself, I’d find it comfortable. It’s got a big seat and inclined.
A New Holland Tractor on the Kubota channel lol great video and finally we got a Blue tractor video 👍. Thanks for sharing.
Just bought the 2024 and I absolutely love it. Quite the machine!
I didn't know how to work the float function. That's a game charger for me!
💥 Thanks for the tour of the Workmaster. Kind of a silly cruise set up. Mower deck looks a lot like Kubota’s. HP and lift capacity is nice! Another great video, I liked the blooper real. 😂
Keep on tractoring!
Oh look....., New Holland knows how to properly design a forward/reverse pedal 😁
No it’s ass backwards
Same as John Deere’s good deal kubota should do it
I'm IN LOVE with my Branson 2400H (TLB). They are just now entering the "hobby farm" market with the smaller tractors, but it's metal body parts as well. GREAT on price as well. 1 year in & about 100 hours... no issues! Keep Branson in mind guys! :)
Another great job Neal! Nice to see you doing other than Kubota product demos. Look forward to more!
You do an awesome job of explaining things! Very helpful to me since this will be a pretty big purchase for my business. Will definitely come out from Pittsburgh later in the year, thanks
Thanks Neal! Excellent overview. Cheers!
Let's see Neil do a comparison between this and a kubota and see who he bats for🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have an LS subcompact which is the same as the New Holland my neighbor has a Kubota BX series Sub-Compact I compared the two before I made my purchase at the hands down I went with the LS
New Holland hands down
Check out Tony's tractor adventure on UA-cam
I wish that loader control was on the fender though...
I miss ford tractors 😥
They built some tough stuff back in the day !
The N series were the Model T of the tractor world....those things are everywhere, many are still going, and resale value seems to have gone up and stabilized...hard find under $1k. Simple, rugged, and most parts are easily found.. Great little tractor.
My 1210 Ford, built 44 years ago, in Japan, has never given me a problem.
Neil could you do a comparison between this NH a Kubota BX and maybe a JD 1 series?
I've done the BX and Deere 1-series. For political reasons I don't compare our own vendors.
Just based on this review my BX just looks more "up scale" like the controls, levers, dash, etc. This tractor looks a bit lower end in those areas. With that said, the blue looks sharp.
@@MessicksEquip that's an honnest answer. Thank you.
@@pryme2013 The Workmaster series is a basic tractor. New Holland does have the "upscale" Boomer series. I don't know if the controls look any better and I wish they would go back to metal dashes because the light gray always looks cheap.
Thanks Neil, nice to see a New Holland Review on the channel...From a Boomer 45 owner...God Bless...Chief..{NYS/ADK}
Everyone who has driven my tractor with the toolbox on the outside of the ROPS has ripped it off. Only issue with moving it to the inside is space when turning the seat to do backhoe work.
Neil, On the Grand L Kubotas there is a big variation on the loader chart for “ digging depth”. Can you do a video explaining why ?
Wait a minute, that's not a Kubota. Ok who are you and what did you do with Neil?
Love the outtakes and bloopers! Really nice videos across the board. I've been researching for many weeks, with many more weeks to go before I even sit in a seat! Really great info to soak in before buying. I only wish you guys were on my side of the state! (NWPA).
I just bought new holland workmaster 25 work great so far no problem at all
if your spraying your yard, it's really handy to have that cruise control to know how many gallons per minute your spraying and at what speed.............. I don't have it but I wish I did I have the older model
Nice video, surprisingly nice things about new holland, oh I think you need a couple more keys, LOL
Excellent review on a different tractor besides just GREEN & RED. Guess I'm now gonna go check out a New Holland!!!
No diff lock pedal ?
Looks like a very capable SCT. Great to pass along the Safety equipment modification issues. I’ll bet many never consider that when adding accessories. Curious what the blade over-lap is on the mower deck? Is the lens broken on the right rear light?
Cruse control is nice for doing actual tractor work with a hydrostatic tractor (which I find terribly anoying to do) which is why the standard transmissions are nice, holds your speed when your plowing or pulling some other implement
Awesome review. Thank you for doing a NH review. I hope you'll do more reviews of the larger model compacts as well, say the 40 to 50 hp range. Again, great job!
Hey Neil! On the PTO that would be an "electro-hydraulic engagement" PTO and not "electromagnetic PTO". I almost crapped because i would not have bought an electromagnetic PTO.
Love cruise control use it all the time cutting my field
Hey Neil, have a topic for your 3min Thursday topic, towing with your tractor the what is better the towbar or connected to the 3pt hitch... God Bless... Chief..{NYS/ADK}
Drawbar if your tractor has one, but a 3 point isn't too bad, just need to keep that tongue weight low as you can. I have a 3 point receiver hitch for my BX2680...I like that you can back under the tongue of a trailer, raise the 3 point, lock the tongue latch and drive away, no fussing with trying to get things lined up, and then having to crank the tongue jack down and/or remove it, just lift the tongue with the 3 point and away you go.
That would be a hard decision between the 1025R and the new Holland! Great video! Your a natural!!
I’d really like to see how the mower deck detaches from this tractor. This tractor is a nice machine although I really like the “green” quick disconnect reconnect and automatic PTO hookup. I have two friends with a 1026R and 1025R they haven’t had many problems at all and none with the mower deck.
Powder River I just purchased the new 1025r (2019) and have the 60” mower deck quick disconnect. Best investment for me. I look at all competitors before buying and got my new 1025r in April delivered. Never, never once have I had an issue or expect to have an issue with the drive over deck. Neil’s comments in my opinion are completely biased and just BS.
I have the ls version of this and the deck is the hardest thing to install. I usually lift the tractor off the ground with the hoe and loader roll the deck under then lower the tractor on top of it then it’s easy from there
OK Neil. Which one do you like the best? The local landscapers use Kubota. So do I. No complaints.
Neil as always great video!! Keep them coming.
Can you do a compersison between the Bx and the workmaster?
I have to steer clear of comparing our own suppliers. Its bound to cause us trouble.
Messick's I can see why
I'd love to see how you guide a customer towards one brand or the other when they don't have a preference coming in. But I can understand why it would be risky for you to publicize that.
Off the subject Neal, what is your opinion of a Ventrac compared to a SCUT?
Super versatile, lots of cool implements... over priced for most everyone. We sell the sister product Steiner.
@@MessicksEquip Thanks Neal.
How a pout some Steiner demo videos?
@@rhutch3876 I have one in the queue.
Doesn't proper ballast take the stress off the front axel when using a loader?
it helps, yes.
Run the numbers, do the calculations, the ballast if attached to the 3-PT hitch will have very, very little impact on the front axle load. My opinion. Nice video, appears the CNH continues to make gains in the market at the expense of the green equipment.
I got the LS version of this tractor.
Martin Champagne and saved big money LOL for the same tractor with different names
Love my 122.
Love my MT125
This is for sure all complete review ,well done . Thanks
Is there a diff lock ?
I know that new Holland but the ford tractor line and I never got the chance to drive one but they look like a lot of fun😀
I’m starting to look at these sun compacts for land we are buying in Ky. My question is can you have the front loader, a rear backhoe and a mower deck on the New Holland??
Not at the same time.
I really feel getting a tractor nowadays is more about preference and actually focusing on your needs and what you like everyone seems to build a decent product these days some have better strengths then others I'd focus more on what suits you then the color if it works and you love it that's all that Matters
Orange only Neil !!
Orange as in Allis Chalmers 👍
Which is better. This or the Standard L series. I know it boils down to application, but ....
This and a standard L are not in the same class of tractor. This compares to a Kubota BX series.
Is the transaxle a tuff torq? I love me some Yanmar! ❤️
Let’s see a side by side of the good and bad between the NH and Kubota please. 🇺🇸
...and a very stout ignition!🤣. Great vid, thanks!
Messick's, Question real quick once... Will the deck height adjustment also act as a limit for the 3pt position?
No.
Let me tell ya the drive over mower deck on our jd is the best mower deck we have ever had. “ and yes we have had the ones u pull out from under the tractor”. So we have a 12 by 20ft carport we store the tractor in and if we had the pull out deck that would not work because we have the front loader on one side and the tractor on the other.
Where is the power beyond port on this tractor?
How does it compare to the BX80 series is what I need to know. I mean aren’t most of these class tractors sourced by TYM??? Or someone like that? I have researched and shopped and researched and shopped. Till my head spins. I think it comes down to dealer support and then over all cost or out the door price in this class. In end of the day they all seem the same whether it’s the bx80 Mahindra Emax 20s etc NH work master here or an LS or kioti or JD 1 series. I think they’re all good machines capable of a lot of work. I can find no clear winner personally. And I have a dealer for kubota (which provides my scag and other mowing equipment for my business) as well as dealers for NH, Mahindra, LS, JD, and Massey. So it’s made it really tough for me decide on a machine. But I need one for my business and my own 6 acres. Decisions decisions
Buy whichever color you like pretty much. They're all in about the same price range with the same capabilities if you know what you are doing, which for people like me I have no idea I don't have a tractor, I have a lawn tractor it does what its supposed to do mow the lawn LOL, well I do have a snow blower attachment for it as well which works quite well too.
I'd like to see the sort of tools that New Holland imagine is going to fit inside that "toolbox". Last I looked you couldn't tighten a nut with nail clippers.
Job #1 - give that to the wife for her sewing kit.
No more New Holland dealers in the ISA?
What can the L3901 front axle safely lift?
How does this stack up against the Kubota BX23S?
Thank you
Can they be repainted pink red purple or blue
I like it because is blue!!!
i like kubota over the other brands simply because its all kubota. you buy a kubota and you get a kubota produced engine, no other sub compact can say that. granted my machine is a BX2350 produced in 2007, but i still choose it over the other used options.
Yep. It's why I bought one.
wrong , yanmar
@@huge-nhuge-n Are you saying Yanmar is wrong?
Rofl Stomps yanmar produces there own tractor 100%
I drove an NH tn70 its not the greatest but it works and does the job I am a die hard Kubota guy my trade school has two kubota tractors have held up well an l3301 and an l3010 the 3010 has been decent but the l3301 made it over 1000 hours ive used a bush hog and it never slowed down the the l3301 It did slow down the 3010 when you would steer It would be cool to have a New Holland despite me not being a new holland freak Allis Chalmers and Kubota are cool tractors in my opinion I've always liked the Ford-New holland genesis Tractors.
I have been wondering if Messicks would ever do a presentation
on something else than a Kubota. What could be next, perhaps
something involving Case IH?
Fiat owns Case IH which owns New holland
Great video. I still prefer the Kubota.
Neal, great video as always. I hate to say it but you just don't have the enthusiasm for the NH like the Kubota. Frankly, I am sure it fits the bill for some customers and Kubota for others. I would also imagine that the NH owners love their tractors just like the Kubota. The axle rating is interesting. I know that you did a piece on loader measurements a while back on how they list measuring from the pivot points but the NH/LS tractors seems to have a lot more loader capacity than the Kubotas in the L3901 series. Is the reason behind this due to the fact the NH front axles are rated higher or is the loaders on the NH more stout? The quality of products coming from South Korea has improved drastically over the last 30 years. As a kid, I teenager the poor reputation of Hyundai, now they have a very good reputation. Hyundai, Kia, Samsung and others are considered a premium product. I bet the NH line does very well for Messicks too.
I know that Kubota has the L3901 sitting right at the front axle capacity (when ballasted, backhoe installed, etc.. worst case scenario). While NH publises front axle for this tractor, I've not seen it for the others. I really wish these companies would publish that figure more because I think it could be really revealing.
Messick's Thanks Neal, I always learn something more about my tractor or the industry from you.
@@MessicksEquip Neal, what is the ratio of Kubota vs NH that your dealership sells. The dealership near me sells Kioti and MF. They sell a lot more Kioti for CUTS but they sell MF because they carry a lot of the ag line through AGCO (MF). I would imagine that is similar for your dealership (mostly Kubota but NH for ag line). Does either manufacturer put pressure on Messacks to carry their brand exclusively?
@@sloppyjoe6243 it swings a lot, almost model by model. Tends to be smaller tractors are Kubota's, bigger ones are Case \ New Holland.
@@MessicksEquip Thanks Neil.
Is that one cheaper than a green one..?
pretty much anything is cheaper than the green one.
Nice video.... nice unit....
Isn’t this a LS branded tractor?
Mt125 I believe
svt89 the one in this video is New Holland branded. It says right on the side. Its made by LS Mtron.
Austin Marchbank i know it says new holland I’m asking if the tractor is made by ls since a lot of smaller tractors are now
♥️ Thank you! Great video!?💗💗
So just to get this straight. Japanese engine, in a South Korean tractor, made for an Italian company, with American company branding?
I have no problem with global manufacturing but 10 or 15 years down the road parts and service could get a bit tricky. That is one place CNH does have an advantage in my opinion. They have long established dealer support networks that make them the only safe choice for a "globally manufactured tractor" in my opinion.
Some might have final assembly here and some parts may be made here, but so far as I know all tractors this size are manufactured overseas.
Bought a house on an acre lot. The entire lot needs to be completely renovated. Am I crazy for wanting something like this?
Nope. Perfect
You need at least a L series, maybe an M series LOL.
Color on my TV must have went out.
Looks to me like an orange tractor
Yes, shifted from Shibaura to LS
Another great Video
isnt it just an LS tractor?
Yes and No. There are a lot more differences between the two lines than anyone realizes. Implements for one are completely different.
But but but ls is light blue.
I have an LS MT125 and love it.
Implements are not the tractor. I understand LS makes tractors for several US brands at different sizes in addition to their own LS brand.
Alas the closest CNH dealer to me is about 80 miles,LS, 80 miles, Mahindra and Kubota 60 miles, and JD about 30 miles. Sort of makes the decision for me. There are just very few serious farms around here.
How much.
I would love to sé a videos on larger versatile made Kubota tractor
Neil, can you get that machine with a backhoe?
Yes
You sell something other than kubota? Crazy
What’s the front axle cap on a 2016 BX2670-1 ?Thanks !
I've not seen it published
About a half lb before it breaks
Look at the ( Royal King ) Rk24. Very nice and user friendly. Good price as well.
It's "Rural King"
PTO power?
I want one with mower deck but no loader. How much?
Our manufactures don't allow us to post prices publicly. You'll need to talk to one of our salesmen.
I like the location of the 4wd selector, nice to have it off the floor... That parking break beeper though, not sure about that, good safety feature sure, but seems like it could cause some dead batteries when features start to malfunction down the line.
I was using a New Holland 2120 for a while today, amazing how much the cockpit design has changed in the past 25 years, in a good way for sure. The 2120 is larger than this 25s, but I felt cramped climbing on and off it.
2120 was a great tractor. Those are worth good money even today.
Random Guy 2120 was ISM vs this Korean Workmaster
Kubota is the only way to go
Lol around here all the farmers are on Deere or New Holland. You only see the old guys on subcompact Kubotas on 1/2 acre lots.
Chris Burton kubota light years in front of LS uh I mean NH in resale as well, just check your local auction prices
James Breen yeah well ok are small 240 acres isn't as big as others but I will stick with Kubota any day. We traded in the deer for one of them and a few years later we have 3 Kubota's.
That is a lot of keys
I still think I'll stick with an orange BX tractor.
i prefer orange
Allis Chalmers orange!
I’m an Orange guy but haven’t you bashed Yenmar engines in JD in past videos about noise and vibration?
I did for Torque now that you mention it, noise and vibration though I think are as much about the implementation in the tractor as the engine itself.
Getting better...took until 8:00 minute mark for the condescending comments about your customers....
Re: Cruise control . U confuse me. Cruise is of great importance w tractoring. 😐
This is a freshened up TZ25DA aka boomer 25 that New Holland has offered for years. For their size they are very capable machines and as he said the operator's station is roomy.
They don't share a single component. This one is made by LS, the TZ was by Shibaura.
Sad, Japan makes the highest quality equipment
years ago we made good stuff..... the original "compact" tractor would have to be the farmall cub. i used one for years. its a great tractor even today, but it is an antique and lacks certain features...... no 4WD, no 3pt hitch, no power steering...... but the quality was there. many decades later still enough in use that parts are still being reproduced.
we simply stopped making stuff. americans stopped producing and innovating. today i have a kubota BX2350, which is actually one of the more american made sub compacts. kubota has factories in the united states.
i think things might be different if international harvester survived.
@@ad356 IH wasn't different than anybody else. They had German made tractors, and were in many ways an International company. If they had survived they would most likely have gone the way of everyone else, which is import for smaller machines, US made bigger machines.
@@tommyw.9424 you dont think we would have a modern high quality american made small tractor like a farmall cub? does it simply cost too much to put a tractor like that together in today's world..... fully made in the USA
@@ad356 No, I don't. Just look at the 140's successor, the 284. Made In Japan.
@@tommyw.9424 the 140 is an awesome tractor. they arent that common today.
