Definitely on the right track with lofi 12. The work flow your doing is one of the ways I lay out my chops on the polyend tracker. It’s really easy on the tracker.
Always good stuff man! Just got mine today and plan to use it in a similar way. Run samples thru it, program some basslines, midi it up to the MPC or 404 etc. I do want to run it thru it's paces on an entire beat. Limitations and all. Should be fun. I look forward to more of you and the LOFI 12.
You might want to have a look at the Pioneer SP-16 considering you’re such a hip hop sampling guru. I think you would love the workflow, and especially the sound quality and analog filter section. I have one, and I’m loving it!
That's definitely the long way around to get those results. There are lots of different ways people chop and or sequence thus better workflows that can get those results. A better point of the video is showing that the LoFi12 does a lot more than many perceive and can get you a lot further than just a glance would have you believe, then again I guess would could say that about most gear.
Great showcase and well explained. Please do a video on how to send/receive samples/sample-banks as sysex. Is there a PC program for batch converting wav files into a single sysex file?
People buying this most likely won’t have another sampler or want to use a VST. But as long as you can parameter lock sample start that’s a good solution. Sometimes more creative than having fixed chops.
@@leftmono1016 yeah I'm with you. I don't have any of that stuff but I'm not complaining about the chopping. Just onlooking to see if I want to frustrate myself with this device. Definitely an interesting device for what it is and the money. Seems like that Lofi sound will take you back down memory lane. It has a vibey sound.
@@leftmono1016 agreed. Reminds me of my 1st and only sampler the Akai S20 from 20 years ago but with more storage and functionally. Waiting on my SmplTrek now though. Been watching videos about the Lofi 12 because it looks interesting.
@@StrillLife - my first was the Akai S01. Paid nearly £1000 for 15 seconds sampling time and basic editing, think the S20 was similar but the desktop version.
they came so close to building a cheap sp1200 or asr closer then smpltrek but not sure why companies cant figure this out even the mk2 and mpc come close but the workflow is always horrible
Thank you sooo much for the really nice example of how the Lofi-12 is used! 👏👏👏
🙏🏼 really great sampler. Hope to see some updates in the future.
YAASSS i was hoping you'd cover this sequencer! im seeing it everywhere and im thinking of getting one for my setup. Thanks for great content🤗
Super cool to see you flipping this sampler like this!
Never seen a video or review from you. But I really enjoyed this video.

Nice use of that horn sample.
Those drums, in particular, sound great.. Cheers!

Keep doing this ✌
Very nice drums! it would be cool to see how they were made)

Dope, dope, dope. As always.
Mine should b3 here tomorrow. 😏

People complaining about a lack of chopping functionality as if they don’t already have a vst or sampler that already does that function well

@@StrillLife - I’ve got a Digitakt and RYTM for drums but the lofi is definitely tempting. Something special about the sound of 12 bit.

Any chance of an update video now you can chop in firmware V2?
So what about that new v2 firmware update ??
Is out, you can create chops and play them on the keyboard
How do you think the actual sound is up against say a sp1200 or s950 or any 12 bit sampler?
I never owned any on those 2 so I can say. The sound is ok.
So Dope !! How exactly did you midi the lofi 12 to the Live 2 ?
Just a midi cable and having the live set as the master and the lofi as the slave. I was just looking for making the two play at the same time.
@@mpchead Thanks Bro . We Appreciate You !!
I appreciate you brother ✊🏽 do u have a tw#*++er account?
I have but I haven't used it in a long time, I'm mostly on IG and YT
