Fantastic video that gets straight to the point 👏 I really appreciate you taking the time make this video and help people like myself who are learning this great little groove box.
I still have not been able to wrap my head around this device. I stumbled upon your video and this is very easy to follow in a real time build up. There's quite a bit out there that try and cover way to much but you are breaking this down to make this so simple. I can't appreciate your video enough and can't wait to try and recreate this over the weekend. THANK YOU for this!👍🤘
Hey thanks for checking out the video! I appreciate your comment. I had the hardest time trying to understand how the lo fi 12 worked when I first got it. But I will say this, once you get past the learning curve it’s a great tool for beatmaking. I’m glad the video was helpful. I have a few more videos on it that might interest you as well and I’ll be sure to keep them coming. Thanks again and good luck with the sampler!
First let me say - nice beat you made there. The video was well done also. The resample demo was nice - I have been preaching the LoFi-12 on my channel too. I subbed - like your presentation skills man!!
I’m enjoying this old school type machine I enjoy the limitation it’s showing me to use what I got … I used to have so many pieces of equipment now I have smpltrek, polyend tracker … and this o have been spending so much time having fun with this lo fi 12
Which one did u keep? Which one is better for recording external synth and arranging a song with some internal drums? What about the workflow? Which has it more natural/intuitive?
Great video and a dope beat to boot. Both helpful and very entertaining. Please do more Lofi-12 workflow videos. I can't get enough of em. If anybody from Sonciware is reading this, please add negative swing and negative "laidback" to the Liven Lofi-12. It would be really helpful to be able to dial in microtimings ahead of a step.
Hey thanks for checking out the video and I’m glad you enjoyed it. I really enjoy using this machine, so definitely expect more videos on it. And I hope you don’t mind me using your comment in a future video. Thanks again.
It takes a while to get all the nuances of the unit....it can do a lot, just gotta be willing to put the effort in. I have a feeling this unit will be a cult classic down the road. Great video
It’s a very feature packed and versatile machine and I agree it will definitely be a cult classic in years to come. Thanks for checking out the video and for your comment.
Sonicware is a great company. All the Liven series have so much bang for the buck. They've recently updated firmware on at least three of their products. The interface is well-suited for live performance.
I’ve only used the lofi 12 and the Smpltrek and I have to admit the way they’ve release updates in only the few months that both have been out is pretty impressive.
i keep seeing people say how hard it is to learn these Liven instruments. Its not any harder than an Elektron from what im seeing on UA-cam. these really feel like a cousin to the more basic Elektron boxes like model samples and model cycles.
Thanks you good production and good video You got tha Vibe and as teacher you got what we call in France: " la pedagogie" I Hope you ll do Other vidéo on the lofi. Peace
Another great video! I have an idea for another video. I’m not sure if you’ll think it would be a good video to make but it’s something that I’ve been thinking of. Being that you have both the lofi and the sp404 mk2, try using the lofi to control the sp making the lofi it’s sequencer using parameter locks. If that could happen it will a perfect duo in my opinion! So the video will be using the Lofi as a sequencer are using parameter locks to control the sp404mk2. Again thanks again for always making great content and contributing to the community! Respect ✊🏽
Hey thanks for your comment and for checking out the video. I think that idea for a video would be pretty good. Truth be told I haven’t dug that deep into the 404 so this actually may be an opportunity for me to do so. Give me a little while because I’d prefer to be more comfortable with the 404 before creating content on it. But o definitely got you.
@@BeatMakerIsTheSquad I appreciate you! I will play around with both myself. If I have any luck I will make sure to share my findings and thoughts with you! Truth be told, I got the lofi because of this reason. I seen it as a great opportunity to pare the mk2 with something that’s not so complex like say the model sample which I also have. I felt that the lofi would be a more direct way to do what I wanted w/o diving into too many menus. Again thanks for everything you do and for replying to my request!
Yes everything is saved internally to the machine itself. In order to export you have to use midi sysex. It takes a good little while to back everything up, but the data can be saved to a computer.
Hey thanks for checking out the video. Right now when you use the adjust/value it basically spreads the sample out evenly over more of the 16 white keys. I will do a more in depth video on the chopping as I’m just getting a bit used to it myself.
@@BeatMakerIsTheSquad yeah I'm in the same ship, I'd like to be able to (like the TE gear) tweak each chopped piece but either you can't or i haven't figured it out yet.
Yeah I don’t think that’s a feature just yet and I agree it would be great to move start and end points in the way that you can on the po33. Perhaps in a future update
Wow, thanks you for the great video showing how to make the cool beat with Lofi-12!😍
No problem whatsoever. I really do love using this machine. It’s a very fun machine to use. Thanks for checking out the video.
I just got the lofi-12 and I just found your channel! I look forward to checking out these lofi-12 videos. Don't stop making them please!

I love the way you talk through your process. Subscribed!
I just got this thing today and i was starting to get discouraged, this video helped so much
Hey! Thank so much for that! I’m really glad to be able to help. I love this sampler, haven’t used it in a while, might be time to break it back out.
Very informative, thanks!

Nice video! Great info. Convinced me to get one.
Subbed bruh! Good work

No problem and thanks for the video/combo idea. Looking forward to what you find out.
Honestly, the best explanation I've seen of working with the lofi 12, thanks so much for the awesome video 🙏
Hey thanks for checking out the video. I’m glad it was helpful for you. I’ll be getting some more
Lofi 12 content up soon.
on point as always!!!!!! resample mode today bro!!!
My brother! Much appreciated. Always glad to help. Can’t wait to see what you cook up.
Is it an internal saving for sounds and sequences ?
Thanks
Yes everything is saved internally to the machine itself. In order to export you have to use midi sysex. It takes a good little while to back everything up, but the data can be saved to a computer.
Good LF-12 video.
Thanks so much for checking it out. Glad you enjoyed it.
I know I'm late to the party but wondering what bpm you're using for this globally?
Truth be told I don’t remember and when I was making these videos I likely had the bpm set per sequence.
Good tips! Do you know if you can edit individual slices in Drum mode instead of the whole sample with the adjust/value?
Hey thanks for checking out the video. Right now when you use the adjust/value it basically spreads the sample out evenly over more of the 16 white keys. I will do a more in depth video on the chopping as I’m just getting a bit used to it myself.
