As much as both deserve props for being strong enough to stand toe-to-toe like this, that victory by Pike is very much a result of it actually being 2v1. Delilah diverts her attention from the standoff with Pike to try and do something to help Silas, which gives Scanlan an opportunity to engage without Delilah having a chance to counter him. He successfully hits her with a Silence which negates her ability to cast magic, the ongoing spell she's using to hold off Pike's attack cuts out and Pike's spell is, consequently, unhindered and hits her head-on as intended.
