    RVD not being submissive to Vince took serious balls. It’s clear he won’t tolerate someone with a god complex controlling the narrative of his life and it’s important to him. He’s mentally tight and doesn’t let people hold things over his head to twist his arm. Not a people pleaser.

      Honorable mention - Chris Kanyon. He helped sneak my brother, friend, and I into the lounge/bar area where a bunch of wrestlers were hanging after the show.

      @@rasheed9705 Sorry, i didn't meant "babble" that way. It' s just that if you smoked weed and depending what weed and so on you smoked, then you may reach a level of being stoned that you start talking a lot and like you said not just babbling. I know from being a cannabis consumer since 1995 through personal experience, that some kind of discussions are really only possible when being stoned. • @Y2JLionHeart
      @Y2JLionHeart Рік тому +53

      I think RVD is probably the most physically gifted person to ever wrestle. Combining strength, agility and aesthetic. Brock Lesnar, Billy Gunn and Shelton Benjamin are up there, but RVD is on a higher level, in my opinion.

    • @miesvaillanykyisyytta3252
      @miesvaillanykyisyytta3252 Рік тому +9

      @@Y2JLionHeart In my opinion Tom Magee was the most talented. He never amounted to anything in the sport but other than Ted Arcidi and Kazmaier, who had very brief stints in wrestling he was the strongest wrestler of the time and he also was incredibly agile for his size. The guy was not just biggish...he was a world record setter in some lifts. He could have been the 80's Brock Lesnar but for whatever reason most people never got to see him go anywhere.
      To be fair when I'm talking about being the complete package I'm talking more about physique and tricks than the interplay of holds and moves between two men. Perhaps Magee was not good at learning how to put a man into holds or sell them or whatever but as a physical specimen without the need to coordinate his movements with the other guy he was good.

    RVD is easily one of the most naturally charismatic and athletic guys to ever wrestle. That being said, he sounds like he was really difficult to work with. Wanting to fight elderly coworkers over misunderstandings (Vince McMahon/Bruce Prichard) and working extra stiff with Kurt Angle and other top guys...No one is perfect, but the dude didn't help himself and because he's so cool it's like fans ignore the rough edges.

    Nash hit the nail on the head about the "if you treat it like a business, you're a dick"
    How many times do you hear different wrestling personalities talk about how cutthroat wrestling is, and how you rarely make any true friends?
    Yet, when guys like Warrior or Goldberg or Brock come in and do their own thing, those some personalities have to tear them down for not being "one of the boys"?? The hypocrisy is hilarious.

      The internet is like a cult when it comes to wrestling. It all started back through 98/99 when wcw started to hit the skids and all people talk about when it comes to wrestling on the internet is all the things that are wrong and how they personally would have the right answer. So in wcw around that time when it started falling significantly behind wwf people just get hellbent on finding the problems and suggesting solutions. As the main event talent wasn't doing the job, they suggested the mid carders, Benoit, Malenko, Guerrero, Mysterio and Jericho as they were consistently performing and genuinely not being rewarded like they should have. Around this time Nash came out with that "vanilla midget" line about any of them being the solution, and to a large portion of idiots his name has been muck ever since. While 20 years later he has continued on living his life doing new things, they have gotten so invested into this internet fantasy booking thing that it actually influences their personalities, and I bet to this day with all their ego issues they haven't lived as much in 20 years as Nash has lived in a day. Nash always struck me as a guy who knows who he is, so of course the people who talk bad on him are people who don't know who they are because they think they're all these things, like brilliant wrestling minds, that they aren't.

    I think if I worked as a wrestler I would try to go out of my way to be the most offensive jobber I could be.
    Do you want someone to win a match but nobody's willing to lay down? I'll do it, my only term is that I get 3 to 5 good offensive spots to show offense.
    But selling looks so much fun and the guys who sell well are what make the product look fantastic. If I take a chokeslam and I'm smiling on the way up, way down, spring back up and ask for another than that makes the shit look terrible. But if I take the chokeslam looking terrified and then act like my neck just broke then my opponent looks like a million bucks. Being a good seller is so damn important.
