i seriously love this song. jaco is jaklin baghdasarian's ( the female singer's ) nickname. if you guys had added the captions to the video by clicking CC, you guys would have got the meaning of the song at once. the song tells about how society treats girls like: stay quiet, don't do this, don't do that, open this, close that, etc. so she is basically saying: hey, i am a free and independent woman, and i can do whatever i want. i'll just dance and you'll just watch. i really want this song to do well. my 12 points from Sweden to armenia. loved your reactions. thanks for the video guys.
As an Armenian I thank you for your amazing reaction for JAKO 😂 she deserved to be in the top 5, but she’s getting g a lot of recognition from all over like you !🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️
For me there can only ever be one iconic car at Eurovision no matter how many pomegranates they fill it with in this video, Danny's car will always be the one. 🚗🚙
With the way you guys know things from past Eurovision shows and are able to enjoy tracks way outside your musical bubble, don't be surprised if ESC wants you on board for an interval act idea in the future - y'all are truly in the ESC community! :D
You know you are in parasocial relationships with Eurovsion acts when you're genuinely nervous about whether your 2023 favourite (by a country mile) likes your 2024 favourite (also by a country mile). So glad you liked it! Check this early live version out if you want to here more drums, more polyrhythm, more improv, and some live energy ua-cam.com/video/Apn9LiZvmj4/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
I knew you'd love this one! This is absolutely the best entry that nobody ever talks about. My dream for this year is this getting a surprise top five placement.
I, too, ask myself if multi-instrumentalist Louis knows how cool drums can sound... XD This is my favourite song this year, ironically pretty much tied with Ulveham! I keep thinking I'd love to see Ladaniva and Gåte play together and experiment with heavier music -- I bet Jaklin's screams and growls would be incredible.
You guys should keep on doing this, it's too much fun! Spot on reviews done by music professionals meets Ozzy Man Reviews, it doesn't get better than that!
This is my favourite track this year. An old bloke down the road had a white Lada Niva. 🙂 Is this polymetric? The second time I watched this it felt like it had that weird Meshuggah push-pull and the bars seem to overlap each other. Or is it just really syncopated?
This version feels pretty simply in 12/8 to me (4 groups of 3) but an earlier live version has a more dual feel to it: that 12/8 can also be heard as 6 groups of 2, mainly because the drummer thwacks the snare on quavers 3,5,9&11 : ua-cam.com/video/Apn9LiZvmj4/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
@@andrewp3748 Thankfully I'm not the only one who felt confused by the rhythm! The reason it sounds more complex is due to the accent on the second triplet by the snare. 1 *2* 3 4 *5* 6 etc. That's what threw me off, and honestly still does when I listen to it. I can't get my head out of hearing the 2 as the 1!
@@thescoon1Theory: it's because the first "lele lele la" starts on the 2 (aka 4th quaver of a 12/8 bar) perhaps? Those arpeggios that start the whole thing off are all equal quavers so there's not much rhythmic shape before the vocals come in...
Can't say I hear that myself, but... there is that beginning bit where the traditional drum (davul / dhol?) seems to be playing a rhythm in 4/4 underneath the 12/8 trumpet figure (about the 10 second mark for 4 bars). In fact, you could interpret that 4/4 rhythm as a slow tresillo / dembow pattern, so Voyager should arguably have been drinking at that point 🙂
As a person from the Nordic fjords, I adore this song. It's such a fun cultural entry, I think it really can be appreciated by people from all over.
yall have no idea how quickly i clicked on this video
hahahahh:) same
Seconded
Same, but also unclicked because of that attitude and rudeness
@@stenxxthey literally weren’t rude though. Three of them gave Jako a 5/5. They all enjoyed the song and had almost entirely good feedback on it.

I'm from Armenia and I'm a big fan of your band. Didn't expect to see this reaction video 😅
I'm glad I wasn't the only one to get goose bumps in that part of the song.
She is stunning! 😍 I love everything about her personality and performance ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ You stole my heart, Jako!
Is this the first time most of the group went with a 5? What a fantastic reaction. ❤
I love how Blanca Paloma became an icon. I always notice people mention her as a reference 😁
The televote and the jury might have spat on her talent that night, but it's undeniable that she has become a Eurovision icon.
@fannishfanning160 I think we all liked her a lot, but we all were also somehow divided between making Finland win or making Sweden win
I enjoy your reviews so much. Thanks for the entertainment❤
I think my dad was one of the few Aussies who bought a Lada Niva back in the day
Thank you very much❤️🇦🇺🇦🇲
SHE IS NATURAL LOVE IT BRAVO, YOU GO GIRL 🔥🔥🔥🔥💃💃💃🇦🇲❤️

I really like this one too. Ah, Lada. I've not seen one of those in years. Someone used to have one parked on my street when I was a youngster.
"Because the subwoofer in Lada Niva is covered by pomegranates". The WHAT in Lada Niva? 🤣
