Noticeable is the large number of steam leakage, due to lack of maintenance.

Used to see the Blue Pullman replacement train at High Wycombe.

What a wonderful place snowhill would have been for Trainspotting

Steam, hydraulics, semaphores, even freight and the 'Wells Fargo' pullman set ! Great clips Bill.

Gaz, Thanks for looking/commenting, as you know these were great days at Snow Hill, steam galore, early diesels, Brush Type 4s, and of course the Westerns, and sometimes as you pointed out working with the Wells Fargo coaching stock as a replacement for the regular Blue Pullman working, glad you enjoyed watching, and that it bought back some great memories, cheers...Bill

Sad about the film quality but that is 6os . Very good content. A very good record to have of what was. Thank you for the memory of snow hill traffic. Very enjoyable. Any more of end of steam.

Spent many a day on Snow Hill in the 40's and 50's ,at least once having walked away fro the entrance examinations for King Edwards School on the Bristol Road - much preferred to be nearer home at Solihull.
I used to gaze longingly at the last currant bun in the refreshment romm, wondering whether I would spring it out of my pocket money.
It is fascinating to see the video of the trip from Snow Hill to Banbury made in the last two or three years when Snow Hill was in the course of being revived in particular by Chiltern Rail

Many thanks for your kind comment, also for the likes of my generation unfortunately we shall never see the likes of these days again. We are fortunate that someone had the foresight to film these images so we can now look back and enjoy what used to be, cheers...Bill

Bernard, thanks for looking/commenting. I am not sure if this material is copyrited that's why I said I would delete the video if neccesary. Snow Hill was a great place to work in and out of during the early 60s. Regards...Bill
